All I can tell you coming up MLK living around there Tommy and Tex was not to be played with back then. Respect to them both
Tommy and Tek
Mr Tony is the reason I'm a community activist in East Baltimore now. 15th place raised me and we didn't always see the side of them that the government did.
I was over the jail with him and in the Feds with him! And I must say he’s the message that he brings! Great man 💯
Big Up Alabama Ave , shipley Market ,congress heights, 30th street, branch Ave southern & the whole Southside. Even tho I'm uptown 🫡
Tommy threw a mean party on the Spirit of Washington Local Cruise Ship. It was featuring Chuck Brown and DJ Jas Funk in 1993. A good/memorable night for a youngster like me at that time fo sho.
I'm born and raised and still live in SE DC and growing up in the 80's and 90's was definitely not for the weak, I'm a living proof of that 💯💯💪💪 and continue to Rest Easy Rodney and my teenage crush🥰😢Falonte Smith "93"
my man got a megaphone to talk to 5 people
😂😂😂😂 fr tho certified Dc Unc shit 😂💯
😭
I'm from Washington DC and I still live here
I was born and raised around 15th place /Stanton Dwellings, Stanton TERR., Frederick Place was our 2nd home. Our survival skills are totally different, you take the good with the bad in life period but I can say this... we had a great time with a lot of examples . 15th 4 life
D.C. never had much commercial success because rap never struck big until the 2000s. Rap was looked at as a NY thing. Also, D.C. was a very violent city. The idea of trying to be some kind of celebrity, etc wasn’t even a thought. People just wanted to eat for the day and make it to the next one.
Gogo bands covering raps songs and using lines from rap songs was the main source of rap around here pre2000. Outside of Dougie Fresh in the 80s and Face in the 90s and a couple other rappers who showed DC love, we was cranking gogo tapes with dates on em. Madness shirts, We R one, Shooters, Chocolate city, DDTP, Hobo, AllDaz…..nostalgic memories 💯
Real Deal shi. I went to school with his right hand man. Tet. ,and remember the young young crew very well. We all went to winston. Together, Tet and Bro from 30th st. Tommy went to johnson. This was in Jr High.
These boys were like grown men at 15. Big money and big reputation, way before they turned 20.
DAMN!!!! You a Southeast Original, you mentioned Bro. I remember he used to come around Savannah in the black Lex I cant remember if he had the LS or GS. I still holla at his Brother from time to time.
Tommy Edelin aka Brother Menes, Thats my Blood brother , crazy cuz I never got to meet him in real life, but I'm one of Tony's many seeds. Me and Tommy still talk through Corrlinks and in his words "the struggle continues" Free Tommy "Brother Menes" Edlin R.I.P Earl "Tony" Edelin
Your father is one of the reasons I am a community activist, I spent a lot of time at project reachout in the Center.
@@Violence2Vibrance I always hear great things about both Tony and Tommy, from both walks of life inside and outside the walls. And I always appreciate them being seen in that light.
Them dudes over Congress Park was real serious. Tommy on those boys didn’t play at all. Grew up on the Southside and it was treacherous back then.
Yo PoP, i hale from Brick City. Newark for those that don't know and was wondering if you did or could do something on one of our players from back in the day. Don't know how many people know or heard of him but they called him Doc. His family had a house on the corner of 19th St. and 19th Ave. Real playa, had race cars and all that good stuff. Went down and did his time, he's been home for a very long time. I had association with him through a good friend that kinda raised me in the streets, Terry Byrd. Would love to hear Doc's story or if it's been done know what episode, thanks for all the good content

His father is my godfather. J only met him maybe once. But his pops was my idol. He had the porsha’s two of them a sum other shit. He always took me shopping when I was young and he had all the bitches in the city. Do a story on his pops if u can find the info cuz his pops was b4 him an he was the nigga.
Earl "Tony" Edelin is my father (R.I.P) and chances of finding enough info on him will be rare... I plan on doing a documentary soon on both of their behalfs and making sure that the content is monetized and the proceeds go to my brother Tommy "Menes" Edelin, who hasn't received compensation for any productions, such as this one...while he's still fighting his case.

I would think that if you really believe the hot garbage you are spewing out your mouth, that you guys wouldn’t commit so much crime, only being a small percentage of the population. You get free food, free housing, and free money. What more do you want? You always blame other people for your bad choices. It’s washed up bullsh*t. Go whine about it somewhere else.
Just surveying where they dropped the dope at shits a game but it's real life and nobody gets it

@@davidtrent1245 man I jus watched a video on RUclips of judge in Texas telling a guy he was gonna get passed around & sold for noodles cuz he was good looking lol. That shit happen in every city state jails. Chicago niggas play all types of booty games in jail, spitting in niggas asses n shit. Don’t try to put that just on DC.
@@davidtrent1245 would you say that to the face of one them? Because saying it online & not to one of their faces make you look like a B!tch
