Interestingly (well, I think so...) - the reason that the beach sand remains relatively cool, is because it is NOT comprised of the regular silicon, rather from minute pieces of coral, which has accumulated from the reefs offshore, over many years.
Sunscreen tip next time you travel with a carry-on. There is a little store when you exit the airport that sells Sunscreen for around $16 ea. That is where we always buy ours. More than we could buy it for at home buy half the cost of the resort!
Hi Amy! All of the restaurants were open and they had nightly shows in the theatre. I think the nightclub was open when we went, but we never went because we want to go to be early and take advantage of morning yoga 😊
what time of the year were you there? Great to watch the video Not to sure which secrets to go to do you think the swim up ones have much privacy thanks Kathy
Thank you for sharing with us. May I ask you if you can find golf cars at this hotel to move, for exaple from your room to the restaurant or the beach (pregnant woman)
This may seem like a strange question, but do they play caribbean music at the resort? I love that vibe, but with it being in Mexico, I wasn't sure if they would be playing that kind of music?
Hi! There were a lot of honeymooners and couples at this resort, but people were also there in groups. There were also adult family groups. The pool was definitely a social scene, especially at the swim up bar. My husband and I went as a couple (not on a honeymoon) and made friends with other people there, so it wasn’t like people kept to themselves.
Probably just the time of year since there was so much seaweed when we went, but the time of year you are planning to go should be clear😊. If it’s your first time in the area, I highly recommend booking the trip to Tulum.
Beautiful 🤍I want to visit Messico and this is a perfect hotel to stay and I will bring my sun lotion( wow so expensive ) Laura you have a beautiful skin with zero makeup your skin is perfect✨😊 maybe one day if you like you can do a video to show your skin care secrets ☺️😘
@@LauraPosse thank you for that info! Super helpful. Any other advice traveling to Mexico? We are doing a girls trip and discussing carry on’s only but the sunscreen is the issue, just what you mentioned in your video-$$.
I believe you can ask your concierge to help arrange transportation, but I’m not aware if there’s a continuously running shuttle that takes you there and back.
Wifi was good/ fast as far as using apps and the internet on my phone. I didn’t try to upload or download anything, so if you need to do work, I can’t speak for that. I don’t think the TV was a smart TV, I only turned it on once and I didn’t see an option to watch Netflix, etc.
Hey Laura I’m going to use amstar for the transportation service but I wanted to ask For my departure flight leaving from Cancun How much time should I give myself For example if my flight departs Cancun at 12pm should I be at the airport 2 hours before departure? Or do you think I need more time Because I don’t know if it’s a crowded airport Like do you go through security quickly? Also knowing that the resort is 30 minutes away from the airport Does amstar pick you up on time exactly at the time you choose or do they arrive late to pick you up
When I booked my departure, the website gave me a suggested pickup time so that was the time we selected. I think it was a little after 2 that we got picked up for a 6pm flight and it worked well because the airport is about 45 minutes away from the resort and when we got to the exit for the airport there was a lot of backed up traffic. The airport has 4 terminals so it is on the larger side. We got through security quickly on the day we went, but I'm sure there are times when it is busier. If you're concerned about timing you could always speak to the rep at the resort.
Also, we booked a private transfer so we didn't have to make stops anywhere to pick up other people. If you do a shared transfer, you may need to leave earlier if there are other groups that need picking up.
Awesome video, so beautiful. We are going in a month. Any tips specifically reserving pool or beach side? Do you just have to lay down a towel to reserve?
If you want a particular spot, I recommend getting there early. The pool was more crowded than the beach when I went because of seaweed so beachside was not a problem. The pool was busier and if you got there later, you could still find somewhere to lay. It might not be directly in front of the pool, but in a row further back. If you go in the morning, put your stuff down and leave, the staff move it after 30 minutes so that people don’t hog chairs they don’t plan on using until later. You can also opt to reserve one of the cabanas either by the pool or beach for an additional cost. Enjoy your stay!
Yes. This place has so many honeymooners and they have a honeymoon package that I believe is complimentary that includes things like a bottle of champagne, fruit, and a turndown service among a few other things.
Hi Philip. We didn’t stay in the Preferred Club suites, so I cannot speak for the experience vs staying in the non-preferred suites. They do have an area for just preferred guests and there are other perks listed on their website.
@@LauraPosse Hi Laura thank you we are Going there early December for 10days coming from England, we been to Mexico twice in the past cancun and port of vallarta this was a last minute trip as we were doing Hong-Kong and Java /lombok and finishing off in Bali but because of the Covid restrictions still in Hong Kong we have postponed it till September next year. There are Coatis which are the little animal I showed in my video. We saw them on the property, but they didn't bother us at all. They are native to the area and it's common to see them at resorts in Rivera Maya.
I have a question about transportation too and from the airport. What company did you use for that service? Or did you grab a taxi at the airport? I just want to be on the safe side and not get kidnapped since that seems to be the theme in Mexico 🤷🏻♂️
We used Amstar for our transportation. I linked their website in the description section. We were happy with their service and there is a rep at the hotel in case you have any questions or need to make changes or confirmations.
My wife and I can’t wait to get here. We’re celebrating my lil sis wedding next month.🥹😊

Thank you so much for your video. My husband and I are considering this resort for our anniversary. Was there night life activities going on?
Hi Amy! All of the restaurants were open and they had nightly shows in the theatre. I think the nightclub was open when we went, but we never went because we want to go to be early and take advantage of morning yoga 😊
Hello Laura, was this hotel quiet at night? I asked because there seems to be a lot of music and entertainment. Thank you!
Hi! Our room was very quiet.
what time of the year were you there? Great to watch the video Not to sure which secrets to go to do you think the swim up ones have much privacy thanks Kathy
Hi! I was there in June. The swim up rooms share the pool with a few other rooms, so those are semi-private.
thank you@@LauraPosse
Thank you for sharing with us. May I ask you if you can find golf cars at this hotel to move, for exaple from your room to the restaurant or the beach (pregnant woman)
Yes, they took us in a golf cart from the lobby to our room at check in. I’m sure they can accommodate the pregnant person in your party 😊
Random question...do they have body wash in the restrooms? Just wanting to know if I need to pack it!
They do 😊. They also have shampoo and conditioner and the bottles are decent sized for a hotel. They also refill them when they come for housekeeping.
@@LauraPosse thank you!

Hi Laura- I might have missed it, but what month did you go to this resort?
June
Hello @laura Posse would you recommend this hotel for a family trip (all adults) as I heard its mainly geared towards honeymooners and couples.
Hi! There were a lot of honeymooners and couples at this resort, but people were also there in groups. There were also adult family groups. We are supposed to be there in September. Did you go to any of the shows at night and if so how were they?
We didn’t make it to any of shows, but we heard the one they have on Sunday nights which I think is the Mayan one is nice.
Sorry if I missed you say it - but what week did you visit? We are debating if we should choose this resort in July or not due to seaweed. Thanks!!
Hi! We went in June. They were very good about cleaning the seaweed constantly, but it’s still in the water. We spent most of our time at the pool.
@@LauraPosse thank you :)
@@LauraPosse I'm thinking about staying at this Resort, which month would You recommend visiting.
Is there only a buffet for breakfast? Or do they have one thru out the day?
When I was there, it was just breakfast.
We are looking to go here in January or February. What would you do differently?

I drank everything and had no issues 😊. The water they served us was all bottled, even from the pitchers in the restaurants.
