@@sarahb6163 honey, saying someone lost to someone doesn't mean the latter didnt deserve it. I'm sure the original comment knows that, chill out. Is there a way to better word "melissa McCarthy lost to Octavia Spencer" that would better satisfy you?
to be fair, her meltdown was totally warranted for. Helen went too far taking in someone else's dream, and slapping her name on it instead. I am glad more people see that sometimes being sidelined by your friend hurts more than any romantic dissappointment.
Every female actor here, as it's considered an ensemble cast with no real leads, is a comedic genius and legend in their own right. From Wendy to Melissa to Maya and Kristin and Rebel and Rose...LEGENDS!
The fighting for the microphone scene at the engagement party was completely improvised, Rose Byrne was speaking gibberish as “Thai” as well as Kristin Wiig speaking fake Spanish. Kristin was also doing something different each take on the plane scene so Maya Rudolph said if you look really closely you can see her shoulders shake slightly because she’s trying so hard to hide her laughing 😭
Spy (2015) is an absolute must watch. Vastly underrated, brilliant send up and homage to the genre, and easily my favorite McCarthy film, by far. She and Rose Byrne absolutely *murder* it. You will not regret it.
This movie is too hilarious! I have watched it at least 50 times..LOL The bathroom scene gets me every single time! The lady Kristen Wiig is sitting next to on the airplane is the lady who wrote the screen play..great movie!
I went in the cinema like this 🙄 and came out like this 😳 I was in awe of the direction, writing and performances. Bridesmaids is one of the best comedies ever made.
I will never forget the 1st time I watched this. I was pregnant and home alone because hubby worked nights. I was really ill the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy, mood-wise. I hadn't laughed like that at a movie in years. I thought I was gonna go into labor! I was actually screaming, I was laughing so damn hard! I couldn't get my heavy belly out of my rocking chair. I had to call my husband to have him calm me down! He thought I was overreacting to it until we watched it together. He loved it too!! I still love this movie but it must have been the hormones that had me so tickled because I still don't laugh at movies that hard. It's a cute memory for me so I will probably always love this movie.
I was like this watching Wipeout in the hospital! The nurses came in, worried because my contractions were getting worse & more frequent on their monitor. (I was only 25ish weeks pregnant at this time. Initially went into labor @23 weeks.) They made us turn it because it was giving me such strong contractions! 😂 P.S. I somehow went full term and needed a cesarean section after a failed induction @ 39wks. 🤦♀️
I haven't seen this movie for a while and will going back and watching it again. It's a toss up as to who was funnier, Kristen Wiig or Melissa McCarthy. Kristen was one of the writers of the screenplay and her humor is all through this movie. What a great cast!
Kirsten definitely for me. I woke her in everyday conversation regularly. And yes you can tell it's her humor throughout. Have you seen Barb and Starr go to Vista Del Mar? I was on the floor!
Mel - did you get the fact she used to own a bakery and went outta business? She didn't want to bake again, it's a sore spot, so someone trying to force her to bake, especially, someone she really doesn't know well, is seriously stepping out of bounds. It's too soon and they don't know each other like that.
Yeah it was too much, but his intentions were good and she ran away from her feelings about it which caused her to completely shut him out - not the best reaction and the movie acknowledges it
@@thegirlinquestion that’s my point - it’s meant to look like both characters handled an awkward situation poorly, but her reaction was cold towards a warm guy, and what he was offering her ended up being what she needed and did on her own to start feeling better. If I'm not mistaken all of Rebel's lines were improved. She auditioned for the part Melissa got, but didn't get it clearly. But they liked her so much they brought her in and told her to do her own thing.

Oh wow, this is the extended version lol. This movie is a national treasure. “ I had a dream we went down last night. You were in it.” And Helen definitely gave her Xanax on the plane lol
The bit you said at the end about being a black man commenting on a movie about white women: You didn't even come close to saying anything iffy! All your comments were really accurate and you got the humour and how womens relationships go. Only bad thing about this movie is how true to life it can be 🤣 It got so high school and sometimes a few of us can be a bit... *cough* 🤣
You need to watch The Heat (2013) it stars Melissa McCarthy as a Boston Police Detective and Sandra Bullock as a FBI agent in a Female Buddy Cop action comedy directed by Bridesmaids director Paul Feig and it’s one of those movies that made me die in laughter when I saw in theaters. It’s worth the watch and McCarthy and Bullock’s chemistry is hilarious and also sweet at times. Definitely do a reaction video to that. 👍🏻 ;)
This movie is an all time fav and I just found you and your LAUGHTER and REACTIONS just made me so happy and grinning throughout! I love it! Subscribing new friend!
Kristin Wig's mom in the movie was played by the late Jill Clayburgh, who also starred in Silver Streak as Hilly. Your reaction videos of that movie was one of my favorites 😅
I know I'll probably not be seen, but you should react to the full insult war between Annie(Kristen Wiig...remembered her name this time!)and the teen girl. It's so fucking funny and I'm pretty sure it's all improv.
As great as the jokes are, what is really brilliant about this movie is how it depicts class divides, where Wiig is trying desperately with dignity to get across to everyone she can't afford all the extravagances they take for granted, and how she's never recovered from the fall of her own entrepreneurial goals and that losing her friend to someone who has metaphorically better toys just sends her further into the abyss. I felt that way for years when I lost my job and couldn't go out with my friends because they always wanted to go to pricey restaurants and clubs and I couldn't afford them. Huge fave.
The air marshal is Melissa's husband no wonder she felt so comfortable doing whatever that ending scene was lmao. He makes an appearance in almost all of her films and it's so funny
My favorite Melissa McCarthy movie is Spy. It’s absolutely ridiculous and hilarious. If you haven’t seen it yet I’d love to see you react to it here. Rose Byrne is her costar in it as well and they play so well off of one another. It also stars Alison Janney, Jason Statham and Jude Law.
Great reaction, thank you! I was going through something similar to Annie when this movie came out, so it’s hilarious but also tugs at some emotions for me. Really glad you enjoyed it!
