    What a great filly and her death is still gutwrenching. I remember that night, I couldn't sleep and waited up all night hoping for good news, and when I heard, it was devastating, I can only imagine how the connections felt. What might have been, and what was.

      You're not alone. Andrew Beyer called her "conceivably the greatest filly who ever lived."

      @@maryperdue3004 I was alive when she debuted and I've never seen anything like it before or since, except for Flightline, who *might* be as good as she wsa.
