With the help of family and friends, you just saved thousands of dollars and got your machine up and running. I’m sure someday you will return the favor to Caleb.
What a great video! This is what life is all about people helping people in times of problems. So Glad that you got the conveyor fixed to help you with the crops. Thanks to everyone that worked on this project to make things better.
Dad had a 702 uni in the late 60s to the early 80s . had the combine and picker. 4 row wide corn head and 13ft grain head.Kinda miss those days. Picked a lot of corn for several neighbors. Traded the whole works in for a new 802 with the Allis-Chalmers engine and the I think it was called 858 sheller . That thing could eat corn. Can't wait to see and hear the old gal picking.
Great job both of you guys. I am a welder/fabricator and used to farm with my dad and brother. It's good to see people take on work themselves. Farmers are pretty self sufficient still today and I am glad to see it! Good video.
Looks like you guys did a great job, there's nothing like neighbors helping each other, usually ends up being a good time....we all need more of this type of living. Looking forward to seeing the ol girl in the field!
Been there and done things like that. Nothing more satisfying as a farmer than fixing a piece of machinery. Job well done . I bet you'll sleep better now and it didn't cost much either. Good job.
My youngest brother hit a deer with his car and we did bodywork on his Ford Escort. Like that too. Chain binders and a little torch. My Dad is still running that car around on little trips. Our repair job is now the most solid part of the car. The rest is rusting away. You did great with this.
Allen it's good to see the picker back up and running! Next thing after harvest will be to get that Case 600 up and shelling. God Bless you all and Howdy from Texas!
Great job. We had a New Idea hay elevator that buckled in the middle. We pushed it back down and put some angle iron on and it lasted many more years. Now, don’t park it under the big shed. lol.
Wow great job, u must be so satisfied after fixing it yourself when you looked everywhere for a replacement but couldn't find one, well done loved watching that👍👏👏👏👌
I discovered your channel by accident, really like the videos, new subscriber. My grandpa and uncle ran uni's when I was a kid. You and your family are great down to earth people. Keep on keeping on!
Great job on the fix can't wait to see a six row head in action and corn coming out the shut .l have only seen a 4 row head in action. We had a new ideal 2 row super picker on 30 inch rows and could fill pick 100 bushels in 17 mintues .Can't wait to see the big Uni picking corn and see what it can do .
Dude...Alan, farmers really do have to adapt, overcome and fabricate their environment and equipment to get the job done. Its good as new! I'm happy for ya man. I watched when you tore off the collapsed building that fell on it and was like oh that thing is beyond repairable but now you've restored my faith lol. Outstanding!!
I sure did like to see the Uni running everybody did a real good job now if you could get the Case VAC running again I would like see that May God Bless everyone take care.
Nice job on the conveyor, good as new👍. If I remember right when we did ear corn dad would throw 3 ears in a water tank and if two floated it was dry enough to put in the corn crib
May the Lord richly bless Caleb for his special efforts, he will be rewarded, The fix was done as I would have, great job to the entire team! It's such a relief to have that bother off your back :)
I know it's a late comment but I just recently found your channel and subscribed. You and your family are awesome people. I am glad you were able to get the corn picker going. Hope you have many blessings ahead.
Nice job Allen, yeah, I was yelling. You need to learn how to dolly sheet metal. Have your help hold a sledge hammer against one side and straighten the metal from the other with a two pound hammer. Like a portable anvil. Good fix though, I'm ready to go picking corn! Best regards from Indiana.
. You have done what I would do. You might want more out side bracing , that would easy to add. It should work. When you pick your corn, would show the busking bed?
GOOD JOB 👍!!!! IT'S GOING TO WORK ❤
Love it when people help others freely.
Yes, we are blessed to have great family and friends!

Your welcome sorry I couldn't get out to help with it

Very impressed with the end result! That looked to be impossible to fix but you did it! Congratulations!
Love the end with everyone admiring the completed job that’s when you know it was a team effort 👍 .

My favorite saying comes to mind. A grinder and paint make me the welder I ain't :) Looks great

Best regards from Indiana.
We didn't have it on video, but we did a lot of that too, we had a sledge hammer and a piece of railroad track to hammer against.
Holding up a chunk of rail? Whew, y'all are men among men!
It was only a small piece of rail.
@@trinitydairy Lol. You could roll with it and tell folks you guys are as strong as Paul Bunyan 😆.
Great job Alan and Caleb! May God Bless the remainder of the harvest.
