- In this short update I make a start on the scenery at the back of the layout. Using basic materials I put together a hillside, refurbish an old half relief factory & create a small removable diorama behind the TMD area. I also try to give the backscene some depth with a town scene poster attached to the sky boards.
Please let me know any feedback with a comment or question and a thumbs up would be most appreciated if you enjoy the video,
Thanks for watching..........Andy

Merci Beaucoup Alain 🙏 thank you for your kind comment 😀
Really good, getting backscenes correct and blending them well like you have is important, great work, an enjoyable watch
Thanks mate, much appreciated 👍
Great scenic work, I particularly like the fencing made from fly mesh…. I might pinch that one!
Cheers John b😎
Pinch away John :) It's great that this YT Model Railway crew share ideas, I've learnt a huge amount from the great videos on here. The mesh was only a few quid & I can make metres of fencing with it :) Once again, many thanks for your comment & all the best....Andy
Really enjoyed the video Andy, you have so much skill and patience, looks fantastic when finished...Mal
Thanks Mal, that's very kind of you to say so, means a lot. AtB....Andy
Great update Andy - your TMD is looking good, and the landscaping is very effective. Cheers Reggie
Thank you Reggie, much appreciated 👍
Marvellous scenics Andy, love the textile warehouse too. Looks amazing pal
All the best
Darren
Thanks buddy, tried a bit of a different approach to the ground cover this time & I think it's been a success. Ah yes, the old "Yorkshire Textiles" building from the SE layout, thought I'd give it a re-furb, fits nicely in the corner there next to the bridge :)
Now let's see this new layout of yours !!
All the best.....Andy
Stunning sounding loco!! Love that 37. That grass scatter and bush combo is perfect. That back scene really makes a difference. Adds to the atmospherics. Great video, very enjoyable. Thanks!
Hi AHJ, many thanks for your comment, much appreciated. I kept "acquiring" 37's during 2023, way too many for my budget ! I've been sound chipping them one by one when funds allow. The beauty at the start is 37401 - Mary Queen Of Scots, I bought her from Alain at Loch Vath Trains, he posted it over from France. She sounds amazing !!
It's about time I did some more work on the micro layout, Things seem to have got in the way of progress lately and my mojo need refreshing.
All the best....Andy
@@Andy-SharlstonEastgate hi Andy, yeah we’ve all been there mate, mojos return, don’t you worry! You’ll be back in no time. It’s great progress!
good vid on channel nice work thanks lee
Thanks for your comment and continued support Lee, appreciated..........Andy
Nice. Really like the tile grout idea. Stealing that. 25 sounds excellent
Cheers Jon, saw the tile grout idea on one of Kathy Millats' videos, thought I'd try it out. Makes a great rough ground texture in OO gauge. Thanks for your comment and all the best.....Andy
Morning Andy,
looks great, good work man.
The engines sounds very cool.
Cheers, Martin
Danke Schön Martin 👍 Thank you for your comment, Grüße...Andy
What an absolutely brilliant video. 👍 love that large logo 37 at the start. Music was really good aswell. Love the way you even used newspaper with model trains on 😂. The road and embankment look really good. Like the idea of the tile grout have a good finish. Really enjoyed that
Thanks for your wonderful comment Richie, very kind. It's comments like these that drive me on to make more videos. I had fun building this, trying out a few new ideas I've seen on the Tube from other channels, I'm very happy with the outcome. My 37 is a beut, she sounds amazing. I bought her from Alain at Loch Vath trains ( @L.V.T.V Model Railway OO Gauge Layout ).
I have to look them up. Look forward to the next video……. I’m building up the courage to talk on my videos!! need to start recording what I’m doing rather than taking photos!
Hi Andy, love the scenic work, way above my own efforts. Best bits I reckon were the sound of your 37 at the start and the 25(was it?) at the end. Thanks for sharing and keep doing your work. All the best, kev
Many thanks for your feedback Kev 👍I've been slowly sound chipping my locos over the last year 😀 it's got a bit noisy on the layout. Yes, it's a Heljan 25 with South West Digital sound file 👌 All the best....Andy
