I paid $4,000 to be to part of an elite alpha male training course. Every morning I dip my junk in boiling water, scream at the mirror for 20 minutes, and insult women as they pass me on the street. And I gotta say my blood pressure has increased 69%
You can't get this done in 1 wk. Train Bjj. Work for it for 5 yrs to get purple belt. 10 yrs to get brown or black. And not get shown on a video doing it.

@@robertnguyen9493 Precisely. And the fight skills acquired over consistent period of time is real commitment then a 1 wk boot camp. I have a disability insurance and if the company knew i did something like this and came knocking for the benefit, I'd be thrown out.
@@doktor3196 a 1 week boot camp, where at the end you have the delusion of thinking that you’ve “changed” and that now you’re a “alpha male” vs a lifetime of training, developing skills, fitness and lessons that you can pass on to your children and form a stronger connection with them. A lifetime of work, where you are consistently evolving and improving as a person vs 1 week of torture under the guise of “it will change your life”people will chose the torture cause it’s a quick fix. Which is really sad! Also, I understand about being on disability, you have my empathy.
Yes the problem is that to be an alpha male you need the opposite of this. Instead of paying for boot camp you must pay escort girls to spend a week with you in a hotel room. They constantly agree with you, compliment you, make sex tapes with you, role play that you are the chosen one who will lead humanity to a bright future. The alpha male confidence boost from that will last at least a year.

Made up.
heres an idea for an actual "how to be a man" bootcamp. its just a course containing: basics on car, electronics and home repair, how to do your own taxes, basic home cooking, a short break to discuss mental health and finding genuine contentment in your life and finally no cringy larping necessary
Honestly, this is pretty good. Back in my brief period in the PUA/Redpill circles, I hated the idea of a bootcamp due to the high price and short duration of training. Anything that can be fixed in a weekend isn't worth thousands of dollars, and anything that would warrant thousands of dollars in training is going to take minimum of three months to fix. If I were to do a bootcamp, it'd be a minimum of six months, with weekly training. I'd throw in fashion, fitness, and probably how to find your interests and development of healthy relationships with men and women. Therapy will definitely be a thing. I'd have actual professionals giving advice.

There is way more than just "when the bullets fly." There are so many rats, snakes, and brown nosers in the military. The worst of it to me (aside from obviously the whole aLpHa thing) is that it's a futile endeavor as they're not gaining any skills or physical improvement. Those things require consistent training, you're not going to become great at survival from carrying a log in the mud one night and you're not going to be physically fit from a week of grueling exercise. You're just going to be very sore. The possible trauma from all the psychological abuse, however, both before and during the bootcamp, WILL stay with them. What a horrible scam all around.
Here's what the military taught me that's more important than all the meathead warrior stuff: problem solve the situation in front of you. If you don't know how to do something, read the instructions, find someone who has done it, or experiment/innovate. I had some insecurities like this heading in but that was the biggest thing that changed for me, learning how to be effective. You don't have to join the military to do that.

I feel like these guys focus too much on being “high value” rather than just being an asset in general to the people around them. And I don’t mean that in a sigma male power trip, I think we can all agree it’s better to be someone who's in the position to be able to help others vs. the person who needs to be helped all the time. While there’s nothing wrong with needing help the world is a better place if more people aim to be assets rather than liabilities. But don’t go and pay for a week at man camp, just do your adult homework like laundry, saving more money than you spend on stupid shit, and calling the people you love to tell them you care about them. That’s just being a competent adult no need to put that on a pedestal
Asset is 100 percent correct whether its your personal relationships or your job. If you're an asset people are going to want to be around you and jobs are going to do everything they can to keep you.
These guys hurt to watch. These grown adult men are in such a confused headspace that they think going through this "crucible" will improve them in anyway. Geez. Take a vacation and relax like an adult.
Yeah, I agree these men have a need for validation and a need for play. Yet if they joined a sports team with good friends or get a productive hobby, it would do them much better than paying for some fight club-esque bootcamp to make some leeches rich off of their identity crises'. Maybe they're jerks in their day to day life, but I can't help but feel bad for them anyway. Our neuroses often lead us to seek irrational ways to feel validated :(
Don’t be an “alpha” male. Be a strong man. Being alpha is just trying to be dominating to feed your ego. Being strong is building values and moral codes that strengthen you and improves the lives of those around you.
Especially considering "alpha" and "beta" isn't even a real concept. It was based on a bullshit study that's been discredited. In real life there's no such thing as "alpha" "beta" or fuckin "sigma" males, whatever else they fuckin come up with. Doesn't exist.
@@snes09 I don’t necessarily agree with that. A study being discredited doesn’t disprove a social and dominance hierarchy where men place their social value on that ladder. Whether a study is real or not, it’s clear the majority of men (who are competitive and disagreeable) clearly value moving up in terms of social and dominant value. This is something even ingrained into our genetics as our nervous system releases more serotonin and is less prone to negative feelings the higher up men move in the dominance hierarchy. Having strong moral values and codes and moving up the social ladder tend to go hand in hand.
@@thog3940 Valuing "moving up the social ladder" is a misunderstanding. In reality, it's quite literally just a sense of achievement which fundamentally has nothing to do with social hierarchy. Rather, social hierarchy plays into the sense of achievement not the other way around. If you replaced the concept of valuing moving up with social ladder with literally anything that someone values achieving they will literally have the same emotional impact. This misunderstanding is the reason pseudoscientific ideas like being alpha or beta exists.
@@Azgorth02 I fully disagree. Competing for dominance in a hierarchy is something we've proven to be hardwired into men. Achieving something simply doesn't compare to competing for the next rung above on the ladder. Moving up feels great and your nervous system even rewards you for the behavior. Achievements are nice and a great thing to have, but they don't necessarily explain the need in disagreeable men to compete for more.
They're literally dollar-store military. Why does someone want to pay for a thing that you can get for free, get better quality and on top of that you'll be paid?
Either you spend 6000 dollars to go through the "Crucible" or you can find some buddies and play DND for 1% of that price or less-- the combined stress of preparing to DM and the paranoia-induced stress of being a PC together are enough to warrant an entire campaign as a true Crucible to prepare for everyday life, you can handle anything once you've faced down the demon inside you that tries to convince you that literally every single NPC is trying to betray you. On a side note, their website literally just slapped in some of the art from Mount and Blade: Warband, my sides hurt now
The funny part is that under this moronic philosophy, joining the military and failing to come out of it as General Big Dick at the top of the totem pole should be the greatest of sins, for having willingly subordinated yourself as a bitch to the military hierarchy system and a whole bunch of other dudes. What's more beta than signing away four years of your life to be told what to do, even die, by other guys? These fuckers worship everything military as if it makes you manly, instead of having been smashed into an obedient shape that doesn't really fit into any useful holes afterwards.
its a miracle they have couple, because they say arent "real man" and need this bullshit just to be alpha man, it make double miracle. I am sure, not woman would stand for man like themn.
5:55 That knife demonstration has disaster written all over it. Even the medieval manuscripts tells you to prioritize controlling the wrist and wrenching the arm so they cant go for another strike. If you were wondering “If they wanted an intensive manly-man training course, why didn’t they just join the Marines or the National Guard for free?” It’s because you can’t just ragequit those courses when it gets hard.
From my knowledge with how most militaries operate, most militaries if you want to quit you to do some form of paperwork and whatnot, but with the French Foreign Legion, they legit jail you if you want to quit because they see that as a threat of releasing private info and disrespect. Plus at this point, i'd rather join a mercenary group than a centralized countries military because of pay, benefits and flexibility much like the French Foreign Legion because what doesn't make sense is that will mercenary groups are deemed "illegal", the only reason why the Legion exists is because the U.N. greenlight the group because of "good standing" and "policy", whatever the fuck that means.... Plus since the U.N. doesn't like mercenary groups a whole lot even though they admitted in the past they're more successful with mission and handling like the Sierra Leone Civil War (2000) that many former military soldiers turned legit mercenaries fought for.

The entire point of military training is to yes gain physical strength but the mental toughness and stress resistance is the main point. The most successful people in the world have high tolerances to high stress. But still this fake military camp was pretty hilarious.
As much as it is tolerance to stress it’s also tolerance for dumb shit. Like when normal people would get impatient and be like “wtf are we doing here??” No. You stand in that chow line for another hr for your dried out chicken and go back to polishing brass.
You can get that same mental training joining a martial art club like muay thai, wrestling etc. They push you like crazy while still being a proper environment and costs you way less than some stupid shit like this. Training and conditioning for wrestling was one of the most brutal things I've been thru and it only cost about 200 bucks for the season lol
these dudes are absolute lunatics for PAYING to go thru that. I spent 4 years in the Marines and i wouldnt ever do that stuff without getting paid or actually do that to serve your country

@@ekl2947eah i highly doubt any of these guys were military and no where near SF. SF guys don't carry themselves like that, at least in general. (There's always one asshole, even in SF)
ya know, maybe it's because I'm a woman and I don't really get it so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I actually think this is very cute in a weird way. Some bros mud wrestling and crying together, getting wee friendship rings, if the verbal prompting wasn't so abusive I'd say its damn near wholesome. I mean it's super silly in the same way that women's yoga retreats are silly, but silly isn't always bad. I'm conflicted because someone could obviously get really hurt and the way they frame it as "you leave = you're a failure" is really shitty. But if these guys are lacking in a sense of purpose and connection with other men, hey, let em roll around in the dirt together. I'm sure they feel accomplished afterwards, like anyone does when they complete a real challenge. It absolutely doesn't have to be this, you could just tackle a series of increasingly difficult hiking trails or something, but man camp is cute. Cry in the mud if ya need to, fellas.
I should also point out that I say this while nodding and laughing along with Phil, it is hilarious to watch. It's just that in conjunction with the amusement, my other main reaction is "aw bless them, go ahead if it works ya boys."
You make a good point, the problem is it doesn't necessarily addres the reasons these men are there, costs loads of money and mimics military training without then being part of the military...ultimately it is mimicking something designed to make soldiers without making soldiers. At best it will give the more timid members a sense of achievement at worst it will con people out of the down payment on a house
@@RealElongatedMuskrat I second what ben said, you do make a good point. I think the primary issue is that these men don't know/think this activity is silly. I think it's healthy to do silly things as long as you realize what's going on. Also consider the type of man who would sign up for this, upon completing the camp, if they read your comment, would likely verbally abuse you and put you down since calling their activity "cute" would be a severe blow to their ego. Can you do a video on the decline of Elliot Hulse? I mean he was always a little cringe, but these days, it’s worse. He definitely has an “alpha male bootcamp”
So these “trainers” made $73’700 between the 4 of them or $18,425 each in less than a week, and all these wannabe alphas got was a ring…. Now keep in mind this was the third group assuming there were roughly the same number of people that signed up to the other two groups so 22 other people. That means these guys walked away with $221,100 or $55,275 each. Literally going into the Army would of actually been beneficial if the wanted this type of experience. You get the GI bill, free college, get fit, and even a pension.
When I was in the army if anyone asked “do you wanna quit?” My answer usually was “yes, but I won’t (insert rank here).” Gotta admit wanting to quit when your soaked wet, miserable and doing this kinda stuff is normal
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Anyone who unironically refers to themself as an ‘alpha male’ is definitely not an alpha male… Also, judging by bro’s posture and facial expressions at 21:30, this camp doesn’t accomplish a damned thing for its participants.
Phil, thank you for trying to spell out to the idiots why these camps are not only stupid but problematic. Lord knows I was a little 15 year old Ben Shapiro troll (no genuine hate on him, but I was def brainwashed, he does his job well), but guys like yourself, James Linker, ObesetoBeast...etc definitely do more good than you know. So just... go join the Marines.... even if you hate it you get free college out of it. Except this dude has literally no rasp, no bite to his voice. All the female and male DIs we had sounded like raptors. This dude is just talking slightly louder. It's a bad Marine cosplay, that's what this is.
"It's about forging your warrior spirit!" Do you know how much more of a man these dudes would be for volunteering at a soup kitchen or animal rescue? It takes real heart, courage, and fortitude to be that kindness when the world is shit. Real strength is measured by how much weight you can carry for others.
The icing on the cake for me is the fact that this bootcamp takes place in an "undisclosed location" in the woods of Northern Florida, so this basically takes place in my back yard, lmao.
Hearing "Crucible" brought back memories for me. In Marine Corps basic training there is a final three day event called the Crucible meant to be the final test for recruits. While the Marine Crucible has its share of endurance and physical tests (20 mile full pack ruck, one MRE a day), most of the events were team building exercises like take these planks and build a bridge. I looked up the guy who ran this camp and he claims to be a former stock broker turn cop and got the idea for the camp due to seeing the police cadets lacking in confidence. I'm a cop too and while the guys at my department's academy also think the cadets are coming in too soft, they probably look at this Man of War thing and think "you got to be kidding me!"
I can almost guarantee all the “instructors” were either never in the military or were but never did anything of merit so they wanna feel tough by acting like a drill sergeant to a few randos
As a former Marine who still hits the gym 5 days a week, I'd like to put these "alpha males" in their place. You wanna treat weak bodies/minded fools like dirt? Does that make you feel good? @@Getsomefit123 why would I do that? What would I gain from it, exactly? I am likely in better physical shape than most all of the instructors, and have no need of "tuning" my mentals. heres an idea for an actual "how to be a man" bootcamp.
its just a course containing:
basics on car, electronics and home repair, how to do your own taxes, basic home cooking, a short break to discuss mental health and finding genuine contentment in your life and finally no cringy larping necessary
That's a course for being a human being, basics on car and electronics would be pretty cool for women too, specially if they live alone.

I can only imagine a real navy seal or basically anyone who was in the actual military laughing their ass off with this shit

On a side note, their website literally just slapped in some of the art from Mount and Blade: Warband, my sides hurt now
Phil’s right, if u wanna do this diff join the military so u can at least contribute to something. Plus joining the military doesn’t cost $6700
Instead it will cost you at least 4 years and possibly your life
The funny part is that under this moronic philosophy, joining the military and failing to come out of it as General Big Dick at the top of the totem pole should be the greatest of sins, for having willingly subordinated yourself as a bitch to the military hierarchy system and a whole bunch of other dudes. What's more beta than signing away four years of your life to be told what to do, even die, by other guys?

5:55 That knife demonstration has disaster written all over it. Even the medieval manuscripts tells you to prioritize controlling the wrist and wrenching the arm so they cant go for another strike. Blocking/parrying should only be done if you have something solid protecting your hand, like a crossguard.
Edit: Plus someone competent with a knife isn't gonna slash, they stab.
If you were wondering “If they wanted an intensive manly-man training course, why didn’t they just join the Marines or the National Guard for free?” It’s because you can’t just ragequit those courses when it gets hard.
You'd be surprised...I just graduated US Army Infantry school and like 30 dudes just quit and got to go home like nothing happened
Yeah no you totally can lmao
@@BlueSkullFish it ain't like the old days where you get arrested
@@lastpatriot7506 which is good. Everyone should quit the military. It’s not cool to be government property, no matter what kind of toys they let you play with.

"Man Of War... I'm talking about Raffa Kandi, the leader of what we call The Crucible". Holy fuck the new Tom Clancy novel sounds fire.
I’ll be honest I think getting a bunch of people together to work out and push each other is one thing. To make others pay money for a sense of brotherhood has always been trouble. Kinda like frats and sororities
My insecurities got me manipulated into a frat. Can confirm.
Last season of "You" had a hillarious subplot where Joe is expected to go into one of those "camps" that was actually a camping trip with bunch of dudes, and a local "alpha" gives them all these challenges and shit. ironically most of them were suburban tech bros with trophy wives. Laughed my ass off at that episode.
@@TylerWardhaha this is a valuable skill we should all be taught growing up. How to cope with inconvenience
This instructor is most likely an SF washout that's out here trying to validate his own shortcomings. One look at him and you can see that he's as soft as bread dough.
@@ekl2947eah i highly doubt any of these guys were military and no where near SF. SF guys don't carry themselves like that, at least in general. (There's always one asshole, even in SF)
I'm just a beta, but imagine when these Alphas find out that sigmas don't participate in brotherhoods.
LOL
ya know, maybe it's because I'm a woman and I don't really get it so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I actually think this is very cute in a weird way.
However I feel as though these men are taking this too seriously, hence the reason they're able to be scammed out of thousands of dollars in order to be hazed. Also consider the type of man who would sign up for this, upon completing the camp, if they read your comment, would likely verbally abuse you and put you down since calling their activity "cute" would be a severe blow to their ego. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
The only counter argument is still the most important one: 6700USD admission fee for something they could be doing for free.

"It's about forging your warrior spirit!" Do you know how much more of a man these dudes would be for volunteering at a soup kitchen or animal rescue? It takes real heart, courage, and fortitude to be that kindness when the world is shit. Real strength is measured by how much weight you can carry for others.
The icing on the cake for me is the fact that this bootcamp takes place in an "undisclosed location" in the woods of Northern Florida, so this basically takes place in my back yard, lmao.
these are the dudes that come up to veterans and say "I almost joined the army so I'm basically a veteran myself"
Raah true words spoken Marine This program really will wake up that warrior ethos just try and see
@@Getsomefit123 If these guys are taking a week off to fly to a week long camp in Florida I doubt they are in jobs requiring them to be warriors.
I can almost guarantee all the “instructors” were either never in the military or were but never did anything of merit so they wanna feel tough by acting like a drill sergeant to a few randos
The saddestt part by far is that these instructors all think they're such badasses
As a former Marine who still hits the gym 5 days a week, I'd like to put these "alpha males" in their place. You wanna treat weak bodies/minded fools like dirt? Does that make you feel good?
