Being previously very socially awkward (and painfully self aware of it) I’ve fallen into the trap of judging outwardly confident before thinking of them as arrogant (because inwardly I was jealous of them) but now I’ve matured I’ve gotten to know some of those sorts of people better, and those same people turned out to be actually really nice, well meaning people, yet I would have called them arrogant and cocky a few years ago
