Hello. I have ordered bowers 706 s2 without demo as demo is not possible where I live . I will be pairing them with my old Harman Kardon 3380 stereo receiver. I have heard reviews that these speakers sound bright / harsh so one cannot listen for too long ? Doesone have to do any tonal adjustments to 706 s2 for listening?
@@rishelbhallabhatia1672 The 706 S2 does not sound bright to me. I have it paired with Denon AVR-X4700H and it sound good. If you step up with a larger amp/receiver then that may or may not change. Really depends on your system setup.
Many thanks! What AV amp do you recommend with the 700 series, which I understand need a bit of power to drive. Considering the NAD T778, Rotel 1580 mk ii, other suggestions?

I have had a full B&W speaker set for years. I just bought a new house and am setting up a dedicated theater room. Currently have the CDM 9 NTs with matching center CDM CNT. For surrounds I have the 601 and 602 Series 2, although recently added SVS prime elevation atmos speakers front and rear. I'm so impressed with those speakers I'll probably wall mount and another set for side surrrounds. Keep the back surrounds one of the 600 series for now. Now I'm thinking about upgrading my main 3 channels but can't do it all at once. So I'm thinking about just upgrading the center first. Then later down the road adding the 702s. Any thoughts, with the tonal balance between the 700 series center be that far tonally off then my CDM 9nts? I don't listen to a lot of music, it's mainly movies and Video games.

Because they are smaller. Typically smaller bookshelf speakers are around 83(kef ls50)-87 db with 1 watt at 1 meter. Floor standers are usually around 87-92. Smaller is quieter. There are exceptions.
@@DH-og5yr If you are sitting the same distance from the 702s and the 704s, the 704s will need more power to give you the same DB of sound since they are smaller. They basically have to work harder, so need more power.

I have had the PV 1 for years, it’s incredible, and it will suck the air out of your lungs, you can pick up a second hand one for £400. I paid £500 a good 8 years ago, which shows how good this sub is.
B&W has a huge line up of surround and height speakers in their architectural line. Those are currently series 2 with the same drivers as these. Almost all of the changes to the in room speakers would not apply to architectural models, so they would still be a perfect match with matching drivers.
Hats off to this guys presentation skills 👍
i a more impressed how this guy presents them than the product itself
I have bad news for you.
I love my 706 S2. Didn't realize the 706 are the same as 705 but with the tweeters inside the cabinet. Thanks for the video.
Why would you go for the 706 s2 if they are the same. I don't get it.

I love B&W!
I have a small room so thinking of the 704 S2 but then I see all the reviews for Kef LS50 meta bookshelf speakers. Which ones should I get?

I bought B&W 702S 2. Very very good.
Does the 702 s2 lack very in bass?
What’s the rest of your setup?
Pretty disappointed you didn’t do any type of demo with the subs. Your channel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ of 5

These are so beautiful😍
Could you do a comparison between the 703 and 606 anniversary
Hello,
Does the 705S2 use the same driver technology as the floor standers? The magnet system in the 705S2, is that the neodymium magnet?
Regards:Kris
Yes. The 702’s have three additional bass drivers.

Can you say why the 704 S2s are harder to drive than the 703 and 702s?

5 inch elements instead of 6 inch

@audio advice which would be a good surround speaker, the 706 or the 707? the front stage is 702, htm 71. Thanks..
With so many movies having a lot of full range audio in the surround channels, if you have the space, we would recommend the 706.
@@AudioAdvice Thanks for the info, will go for the 706 then..

They take a long time to burn in though.

Once again, no proper surrounds, no height speakers. Unreal.
