OMG! I didn’t think I could like you even more than I do already. YES!! Always adopt a retired raveling greyhound or those that flunked out of the training. My 1st 2 greys were liter sisters, were in race training together & flunked out together. They were fostered together & I was lucky enough to adopt them both. Best dogs ever! Kenzie went to some college classes w me & my professors loved it. After she greeted everyone she laid down & chilled. Security wanted to escort me out of 1 building but they didn’t dare bc I was talking to the Associate Dean 😂😂They truly are the biggest couch potato dogs. 💜🐾💜
I have adopted 5 greyhounds overall. Best family members ever! And mine don’t bark unless there’s a squirrel or a rabbit in their view. 🐾

The building Garth Brooks bar is now in used to have a place called Paradise Park Trailer Park Resort on the first floor. They had $6 FULL SIZE Natty Lite pitchers all day, every day. The floor was covered in astroturf, there was a junked up car, wood panel walls, license plates, etc. My favorite bar since moving there in 2013. Sad to see it replaced by something nowhere near as good :(

My dad died about 18 months ago, the last thing he purchased was an internet capable TV so he could watch football and The Orville. I am upset about the football thing on his behalf and we are in the KC market so we will see the game locally but this is probably just the beginning.

That story about Mark Zuckerberg makes me think of that 2021 movie “Don’t Look Up”. The ending of that was perfect. Question for those who want to get rid of plastic items…What do you do with them if you already have them and want to toss? We do not have a reliable recycling system here so I’ve been repurposing plastics for a few years from art to potting plants to other things that will keep them in use but not in the landfill. I just can’t do the toss without feeling bad because I know it’s out of my house but it’s now in the land. Such a conundrum.
It also made me think of Don't Look Up!!! Man I love that movie, I think it's a REALLY good and timely satire
Agreed. What are we to do with all of our plastic, junk, old stuff from mom and dad and not to mention how much we threw out when grams passed. So much stuff and they keep producing more stuff for people to consume and throw away. It’s kind of crazy how much waste is created per person every minute of the day. One could go crazy thinking about all the trash we humans create.

Someone else said it best, America does not have an obesity problem, America has a muscle loss problem, as a retired nursing home worker whose job it was to help people transition to home, the biggest struggle our fracture and joint replacement people had was strength. If you cannot get out of a chair using only one side of your body, you are screwed. Welcome to long term care. And don't just focus on lower body like so many women, you need the upper body muscle too. Sorry to preach but this is such a positive thing to start.
