Hey! Norwegian often offer Solo deals on other rooms - Inside, Ocean View and Balcony.. you don't have to pay 2x! It's actually half the cost of 2 people .. can be a very good deal.
I was going to go solo on the Getaway 03Nov24 in an inside room but found that a Studio cabin was $81 less. I got a Studio cabin on deck 10 so I am right outside the Studio Lounge! Just hope there's not too much foot traffic there during sleep time.
I got spoiled on the Epic in their Studio Lounge as there were bartender times and they had fresh fruit and pastries and always drinks available. I like the coffee/drink dispenser the Getaway and the Breakaway have that has so many available hot and cold drinks. I don’t remember Epic having that. Though the Breakaway 08Jan23-22Jan23 always ran out of everything even togo cups for drinks! Only a limited amount of porcelain cups as well. No fresh fruit at all!

Just Booked a cruise out of New Orleans on the Getaway on March 30th, a 7 day cruise, in a studio cabin. It will be the first time sailing solo and I'm really excited!
You have done an amazing job with your cruise videos I have travel with friends but we always have your own cabins or hotel rooms (over three days) We set a time to get together for dinner or a show but if they don't show up it only means the found something better to do...If you continue posting quality videos you will have 100 thousand subscribers in no time.

ohhh! the circular thing is a window to the corridor? so you can keep an eye on who's coming and going? did you notice anyone leaving theirs open? i'd feel like a department store display... 😀
HAHA you can’t actually see through the window to the corridor, it’s frosted so no one can see inside. I think it’s just to create the illusion of a port hole!

Very very different loungs design than on the Encore. The virtual window is also a different design. I had a solo room 2X on the Encore to Alaska. I plan on taking the Getaway for Canada and New England in October 2025. In a solo cabin of course.
This studio looks great! I travelled once on another cruise and had to pay not double but 1.5 of the price for a double cabin. Was the wine included in the price? What other alcohol or soft drinks were included? Or just tea and coffee? I would take a book or two not to get bored if there was a nonstop cruise for 5 days. Wine+a book would make me happy. And I like the solo traveller gatherings, great idea.

You’re right, George 👍 NCL now offers solo balcony cabins and inside cabins. People in the lounge were friendly but it seemed like everyone wanted to keep to themselves, which is fine! I did that too. 👍
Hi all, I traveled on the Breakaway out of New Orleans 2 weeks ago and I got a solo cabin with a BALCONY! They just started this about a month ago. Cabin 12774. I had access to the Solo Lounge on the 10th floor. Originally, I had a Solo Cabin on the 11th floor and was called to say I could get the Solo balcony room for $100 more for the week. Jumped on that with no hesitation. I always travel alone and Ben has hit all the positives about solo traveling.
@@jons43, really? I was on the Breakaway in Feb, and the only solo cabins I saw were in the middle of the ship. I'd gladly pay the difference, too, but didn't think it was a thing! And I just booked the Getaway for the same trip, a couple of hours ago, and my cruise guy never mentioned that solo balconies were an option.
Hi, I recently discovered that they have also other cabins available for solo's. You get the normal cabin but less wxtra charge and access to the sololounge. So if you feel uncomfortable in de studio you might try that. Also I've seen normal cabins for single use being cheaper then the studio. So beware ;)
You’re right, Maya 😁 I’ve seen balcony and inside cabins available for solo cruisers. I definitely wasn’t uncomfortable in the studio cabin. I like the fact the studios lounge is literally a 10 second walk from the studio cabin, you’ll be walking further from a regular cabin to the lounge!

Now that NCL has other cabins as Solo cabins all designated as solo will have access to the Studio Lounge on their card.
