weapons breaking is essential to the design of the game. It makes sure you aren't severely overpowered all of the time. I agree with it's existence, just think weapons should last longer. A weapon should last several battles, not break after one enemy.
Honestly, as a kid who obsessively played Minish Cap, the Mogma Mitts were an absolute treat for me. I would always be reminded of digging through the caves, making my own path, or meticulously spending twenty minutes just digging out every part and making a little base in there. For Skyward Sword, it worked for me because we were exploring and navigating tunnels, which felt similar, but different enough to make so happy, with a bit of nostalgia thrown in. Honestly, The Digging Mitts are my third favorite dungeon item in the game.
I like to jokingly claim that Skyward Sword is just a 3D remake of Minish Cap! I mean, come on, the Gust Bellows instead of the Gust Jar, the Mogma Mitts instead of the Digging Mitts, and an entire plot revolving around how an established blade (i.e. the Four Sword/Master Sword) got its start, and how it transformed with the help of magical elements forging it over the course of the game! And, uh... I don't know, Ghirahim kinda looks like Vaati. That's all I got. Oh, and there's even a race against time at the end of the game to save Zelda from the villain while enemies are in your way!
holy shit. that actually makes sense. And the gust bellows, I honestly love. It made stunning enemies really quick and easy, which made wrecking them with your sword super satisfying.
5:15, you know, that reminds me; I recently saw a rather depressing fan-comic centered around goddess-walls. It starts off with Link finding his first one and Fi explaining how they worked. Instead of drawing a Rupee or anything it would normally produce, Link instead draws Zelda. It ends with nothing happening and Fi telling a disheartened Link that it won't work that way.
6:50 That is a horseshoe pack used for camping. You wrap a sleeping bag and stuff you need in a tarp and tie it all together. It is very easy to carry and efficient as well. It's the minor details that make this game so cool
Chuggaconroy, I just wanted to let you know that you bring me much joy from all your equall humorous and helpful playthroughs. Your let's plays are greatly enjoyed, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. P.S. Happy late birthday Emile. (:

ShinyGoldBacon It's just an ongoing joke. During the first dungeon Emile pointed out a digging spot by calling it a digging spot x. Also digging spots on pirate's treasure maps were marked with an x so that might also have something to do with it.
I adore Xenoblade X, a lot more than the first game even. It's almost my favorite game. Second on my favorites list, maybe. It really needs more love. I often feel like I'm the only one in the world who's played it, let alone loved it. That depresses me. :(
I totally agree with optimization. I know so many people who say Nintendo sucks because their graphics aren't good or even "suck" but they rely on excellent art style and optimization so I love you stance on this. Keep going Chugga you are my favorite let's player
Hey Chugga! About five years ago I had to stop watching your videos due to circumstances beyond my control. Now once again your vids are part of my daily life. Thank you for what you do.
Me being asian myself, i don't know the point of the lions and stuff, but i do have an idea on it's purpose I think back in the day, like asian medieval days, they were probably used as a guardian and to ward off evil spirits and also a sign of power
I have to say... The only thing I remembered about this dungeon specifically from when I played it myself was the section with the lava flowing underground, since that caught me off guard the first time and I died to it (it's an instant game over if you don't get out in time), and thus the Mogma Mitts in general. ...In fact, it goes to show how weirdly uneventful the place is that I was confused when earlier, you got the Digging Mitts, and I thought they were called the Mogma Mitts to begin with. ...Yeah...
16:36 - Something I think would be cool would be of everytime a company made a new gen console, they released an updated version of an old game for it. e.g. Nintendo making a version of Mario 64 for every one of their consoles as they get released, Microsoft making a version of Banjo&Kazooie for every one of their consoles as they get released.
Chuggas Digging mits are evolving ... Digging mits evoled into Mogma Mits... Mogma mits learned a new move Tunneling does 120 damage 100% accuracy Ground type super effective on ground types allows you to tunnle underground
I think the whole "vomiting lions" thing is actually the idea of rivers of wisdom. In a lot of older cultures, rivers were seen as gifts from the gods, so they were literally depicted as flowing out of the mouths of gods (who, thanks to animism, where generally visualised as animals). Plus, remember, fire-breathing animals are a common part of many Asian lores. Also, design-wise, it's just a pretty way to jazz up an otherwise utilitarian hole. Kinda like how you _could_ just have a fountain spout, but some architects much rather have a cherub peeing the water out.
Chugga was saying earlier in the series he wanted to know what it looks like when Link turns around in a cave, now we know from the top down view. Teleportation magic
16:57-17:10 actually, I think they're not lions, but dragons. In East Asia, dragons are viewed in a positive light, as they're believed to bring rain for fresh crops and plentiful harvests, and therefore they're viewed as a sign of good fortune and luck, that something big happened to you in a good way. I'm Korean American and my birth nation of South Korea has had this belief due to Chinese influence, as the Chinese were the first with this belief and they passed it on to the nations they influenced.
12:13 ahhhh but you forget sir that I, the viewer have control on how many times you say something for all eternity!!! I can press the left arrow key and the video will rewind 5 seconds :D
fun fact Cursed Keese indicate what they are going to drop minus the evil crystal because if you look at the Kees at 16:14 you can see it has green crystal-ish eyes and that it drops a green rupee when defeated nice little detail don't you think?

Ooooooof
Every time I see him jump off a ledge, I expect to see the paraglider. oh Breath of the Wild, already spoiling us.
Hallaloth My thoughts exactly
Hallaloth when he was hitting the chain with his sword, I was worried that his sword was going to break. I love BOTW but curse weapon durability.
siriusgray I keep thinking chugga should just climb everything and steal weapons
weapons breaking is essential to the design of the game. It makes sure you aren't severely overpowered all of the time. I agree with it's existence, just think weapons should last longer. A weapon should last several battles, not break after one enemy.

The Wii has Xenoblade Chronicles. And you can't beat that.

"A piece of heart, something you don't see often in a dungeon" tell that to minish cap which has two heart pieces in EVERY SINGLE DUNGEON

The way it zooms in on his screaming face while fading dark makes it look like he just kicked the bucket.
What's with the constant remarks in this series about letter X being extreme? Is Xenoblade X or Megaman X the next series?
ShinyGoldBacon Hopefully Xeno. Love the original.

They should make another timeline split if link had claustrophobia .
That would change stuff

there isn't going to be videos for the next few days he said he want to get ahead of them. he got behind thanks to bad weather
David Jimenez Saw that coming. He can only go so long without a buffer.
Thanks for the update. I was wondering why there wasn't a video today.
when the mogma gets caught, can someone edit it so it has law and order
So many monster horns that are just sitting on their hips as they die
YOU MAY THINK IM ORDINARY BUT I'M ACTUALLY MOXIE! LEADER OF TEAM MOGMA!

Lion fountains originate in ancient Egypt. They symbolize the inundation of the Nile (which occurs under the constellation Leo).

I never noticed it before but now I can't unsee that giant sausage on that mogma's back...
that was a very smooth transition at 14:27
3:52 This blatant difference in reach between Link and the Archer Bokoblins is so unfair it's outRANGEous.
First time I played this, he asked me to keep it a secret, and I had a feeling another Mogma was listening in so when I said "...", I was right! Haha that was one of the funniest moments every when I first played this. xD
Try not to get caught in that underground lava flow because if you do, you don't just lose one Heart. You lose ALL of them! Yep, instant Game Over!
SPLATOON 2 ?
Um, what?
Can I recommend you shield bash a keese? (koose?) It's not an effective way of beating them but it lets you do a badass finisher
The underground sections look like they would be pretty claustrophobic, I mean the digging spots look barely big enough for Link to fit.
I can just imagine that mogma saying ''wait where" and leaving link he forever xD
The Eldin Volcano 2 items probably wouldn't feel as underwhelming if you didn't get as great tools as the Clawshots and the Bow in Lanayru Desert 2.
"Tentatek Scattershot" I know you said this in the last episode but, CHUGGAA STAHP IT.
