    Watching you and Matt run this has me psyched for next year. When you see a Bonsai 53 y/o ripping it up on an Original BETA 2t, you will know you have met the ORIGINAL BLAKE. Awesome videos of the TKO, me, my wife, kids and grandkids were laughing it up. Great job!

    I’ve had that feeling too! Once your completely exhausted you just go into an autopilot state and the bike does all the steering lol. Idk if that makes any sense either but I knew exactly what you were trying to describe

  • @jaredjasicki756
    @jaredjasicki756 7 лет назад

    lol, Zach, I was laughing so hard when you were talking about how the bike just starts to make its own decisions when you are tired. I 100% know what you are talking about. During my last hare and hound race, there were points when I just felt like a piece of jello sitting on top of the bike as we both went through the trail. I plan on coming to Tennesee next year so hopefully, I will see you there!

    I From the Southern Tier area Broom Tioga Zach ......congrats on making it to the next round! Great decision to attempt this race it will make every course you race in WNYOA ......just a bit easier to say the least!!! That's how you get better by challenging yourself forget about if you advance or your time. The important thing is your way out of your comfort zone!

    Looks like a fun race! Come out and ride in Colorado. You will come back and eat this terrain up! We have rocky nasty trails that will make or break you. More speed on those rocks will keep your momentum and in turn less energy spent. Awesome riding and keep the videos coming!

    WOW. Onto the next round. Good on you! I always said that if I made it all the way to Sunday's race... I'd just quit. Too much impossible stuff to ride no matter how bad I'd like to.

    I can totally relate to the exhaustion, usually happens to me the last few miles of an enduro. Glad ya made it!

    Congratulations on qualifying, that's impressive! I look forward to seeing the next round of the TKO. I'm training for my first race on 9/16. It's 90 minutes long so I know it's going to be tough, but I can't wait to give it a try

    I defiantly understand about letting the bike control you. In my last desert race I was so fatigued I couldn't even steer the bike correctly. And was struggling too hold on. That feeling sucks! Come out to SoCal and ride some rocks for a while, you'll get a hold of them!

  • @TheJustinside
    @TheJustinside 7 лет назад

    i know what you mean about the fatigue. you can't do the most simple things.. the bike is riding you! Good job in the wilds of Tennessee!

  • @luiscerrillos3542

    I understand you zack when you are so tired and your kinda just barely holding on to the handle bars and holding the throttle and the bike just kinda goes where ever it wants

  • @gabewilliams5993
    @gabewilliams5993 7 лет назад

    That's the great thing about 4 strokes, they don't tire you out as quick! 2 strokes however will always be more capable off-road.

  • @parv100
    @parv100 7 лет назад +1

    Great comments at 4.30. I've felt exactly that way due to exhaustion.
    ..... like you're just hanging onto the bike; that's all you're capable of .
    aahhhh exhaustion :)

    Also I agree that the bike will control you sometimes.

    I remember during my Triathlon years going all the way to Virginia to qualify for a race in Ohio. It was so hot for the run at the end around 90 with humidity, and we were running between two cornfields. And I said the same thing to myself.....I drove all the way here to do this to myself? LOL But it def made me better and I did qualifiy for the Nationals that year in Ohio

    Finally part duex! Lol anyone tjat has ever puahed their limits has been there. That numb zone, where in you are no longer putting control inputs to the bike, rather the bike is now dicating to you and you are reacting and praying to just keep the throttle open and your but on the seat while staying upright.lol A.K.A survival mode.

      ZachAtk1 I imagine if that fork isn't dialed, it was miserable. The air fork on my '17 deflects viciously.

    • @teddyf9438

      Wally Palmers fork seized and became locked out stiff 20 miles into the pro race. He finished with a rigid front end.

    Small comment: Zach, at the point of physical exhaustion, this becomes really to usher in your "Second Wind"!! Trust me, it works...just say (not think) to yourself: c'mon second wind...let's get ya' started! From a 69 --> 70 yr. old (fart).

    Hi ZachAtk1, loved the video fully understand what you are saying, been there. What you need to do is spend some time on a trials bike.Look at Graham Jarvis he has trials technique, doesn't waste energy gives you better control. Hope this is a helpful comment. Good luck keep going you will get there.

    • @za1racing
      @za1racing  6 лет назад

      Thanks Clive! Actually if you check out my latest video, I just got a trials bike and did my first event! I’m going keep working on it, and see how it goes for me this year at the TKO.

    I get what he is going through. Hard Enduro races are something different - some of the tracks have become impossible even for the top riders. Some sections look worse than moto trials. Overall well done - for the next time soften your suspension and get soft mousses if you didn't have them.
