Not necessarily. In lower ranks I see people throw out the same flowcharts no matter what they do. In higher ranks these flowcharts of course are depending on a lot of factors like conditioning or flow of the match.
I once had a match with a really aggressive Dragunov player, had the last of my lifebar and he wanted to hit me with that running RE3 Nemesis power punch, sidestepping is everything fighting Dragunov, for the sidestep option and Law players, when Dragunov comes at you with that running power punch sidestep 2 times be as quick as possible and give him a Law bitchslap ;) Most important is to learn your character from the inside out especially th defense moves and what you also need to learn is to combine the most powerful attacks not just in combos but in head to head combat. Tekken 8 is not just about learning how to comboshot someone, you find out if he is a good player when you can interupt combos coming at you and if your opponent is good in head to head combat, And not being predictable is rule no one.
