there's a lot of people out here who either can't afford or just don't have metal models . . . this should come in handy for those of us stuck in the world of plastic.
[ it seems like i've done similar repairs to about 40% of the things i own ]

Keith A repair is is still a repair. This video and part 1 shows your willingness and diversity to try something different. Excellent as usual.

I don't mind the non-steam stuff one bit. Whatever floats the boat, Keith!

I have a equinox 800 and am thinking of making my yoke ears stronger, as they break.. As I have seen. You seem to be the only one so far that i have seen in the repairing of the coils who has been smart in using the correct type of adhesive. I have not used Acetone to make glue but have heard of using it. Also MEK is supose to good at that as well... Thanks for sharing... Your repair job looked quite nice..

I like watching anything like this, doesn't matter if it's about steam engines or metal detectors, mostly like restoration channels (and there are hundreds of them now :)

Life is just one big learning curve. It's not that I think outside the box, but that I think the box is really, really big, with lots of room for innovation. I wish I had made that up, but I didn't.

Well done! Stronger than new can't be bad.

Put chips of abs (from lego blocks, colour match) into acetone and leave to dissolve. Then you have a putty which can patch and reinforce any other abs.

Keith< i forgot to tell you, my Patreon payment was made Wednesday and on Friday my bank called to make sure I was happy. Yes, I said, I'm very happy you dummies got such a simple process right. No, I said thank you, and everything is fine now. It sounds goofy, but there are unfortunately examples of elderly people being ripped off by scammers, and throwing away their life savings and so the banks are being cautious and looking out for us old folks.

You won’t learn anything thing if you don’t try and don’t fail.
