  • So many older coils or ones that are not correctly made can make noise when touched or moved around the cable plug, in most cases it is broken wire strands or bad soldering. It is a fairly easy repair but some care is needed as it is also easy to stuff it up. So follow this and fix up your noisy coils.#metaldetecting #minelab #detector

What do you recommend if the cable insulation is failing over the length of the cable? Use heat shrink or is there new cable being sold somewhere?

Buy a roll of nitro bumastic tape and wrap the cable and also keep it tight.

1-Does this cable increase the efficiency of the coil?
2- When welding the cable with the coil wires, is it possible to reverse the wires?
3- What is the appropriate length for this cable?

It is best to use this cable…not radio communication cable.
      Do not reverse wires.

F**k all these repairs. I'm urging everyone to STOP buying ALL Minelab products until they acknowledge that they compromised on quality, that they have fired the people who urged the lack of quality, and that they will never again make such outrageously cheap products. My SECOND coil's ears just simply fell apart into pieces.
