You remind me of myself when I was your age. I had land on the beach and I was building it. It was the most wonderful days of my life. I remember in the summer the temperature would reached 129 degrees (i live in middle East Kuwait). It was fun. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoy your videos.
You could add other colors, colors that coordinate…. To your sweater…. For example: Make the sleeves a different color, but a color that looks nice and appeals to you.
The cold is something many don’t think about living where you do. No doubt a challenge. I just subscribed. I’m enjoying your channel. My career comes to a close next March. I’m heading to Arizona and New Mexico on April 1st. I’ll be looking for my own homestead to purchase. Thanks for the inspiration. You have a beautiful spirit.
50 spiders will be living there❣️ _Bleaching by the sun_ That’s why people in India wear a lot of white clothes. They wash their clothes and dry them outside so I think everything just gets naturally bleached. I’m in Japan by the way. So seeing this desert is so different from Japan.
Hi Heather! I am happy you started up again after the holidays 😊 There’s just something very comforting about watching you build your little oasis out in the desert. We are originally from Alaska, I miss it sometimes, especially our kids (your age) and other family. We are in the Palm Desert area now, and will be here another 2.5 weeks. Keep up the good work on your sewing and crocheting projects too! You are making me want to try the patch idea, had never seen the kind with the grid!!
Thank you! You should totally look up "visible mending." It was pretty easy and is holding up really well. Other videos I've seen make much prettier designs than I did
What a relaxing watch :) I'm so glad your jumper unravelled so well! I also enjoyed the drone-shots and the explanations at the end. I'm curious to see what you will do with the window you got!
Crazy watching ur content, we r literally doing identical things in life right now, i just bought a fixer upper about 2 hours north of u and just been going thru the same stuff u r doing. 🤪 and yes! The weather suuucks rn!!! Spring is close tho.
Love that petrichor desert smell, must have been a delight, despite the other aspects of the weather. RIP bird feeder, any chance you can replace the glass element or was is completely unique? Was good to see an update from you. Watching from Ireland btw, thought I'd mention as you liked the Kuwait comment below. Stay warm, warm is good.
👽👽👽I just love your channel...my daughter (38) has 3 kids still at home in Idaho (12 YO twins B and G) and a 4 1/2 B and I can Totally see her eventually trying this. She has a good credit score but can't afford Idaho $. But I occasionally buy a lotto ticket hoping for the best 😉 Thanks for the new video 🌞
You are living in a very hostel and unforgiving environment. You will have to learn to adjust to it. It will not adjust to you. It takes a certain type of person to survive in the desert, good luck.
You will get better at sewing, gardening, fixing things etc the more you do it!
Nice unraveling, nice sewing!
Practice makes perfect. Don't give up on your mending. You could always dye your sweaters.
I am 69 years old and you are living the life that I always wanted to live. You are blessed❤
Very ☺️ Thank you for watching!

The skirt is so fabulous!
Hello from AZ, Sonoran desert! 🏜️ I think your hairstyle is lovely. Your dog is absolutely adorable. Thanks for another fun video. 😊

I loveee the pepper tree. I wish it wasn’t QUITE so close to the front door.
Omg I love the agility!
Loved the drone shots, they give new meaning to the space!
I sure wish I had “before”drone shots of when I got the place. So cool to see progress from the sky.
You did a great job with taking in the skirt! Kudos to you!
Thank you! I'm sure it wouldn't hold up to much scrutiny but from far away I think it looks alright!
Teddy is *sooo* cute doing the agility course! And he's coming along by (literal) leaps & bounds.
Yea he really had a breakthrough after these videos were taken. I'm going to enter him in a trial soon hopefully to see if he feels ready to compete
I enjoyed the line up of all your winter projects, definitely motivation to start on my long list! 🙂
you got this! 💪🏻

I definitely can't complain about winter weather to someone watching for Ireland! haha. I'm not sure about the glass but it seemed pretty unique.

There are homepages of women who unravel sweaters and make new sweaters out of them…
