Oh no! Poor dear. ❤ I know exactly how you feel. I'm also on five acres in the high desert and while it's beautiful and rewarding, it's a real challenge. People who live in the city or suburbs really can't comprehend what it's like to live so engrained in nature. Working with and planning for the heat (for me lots of snow), wind, critters, bugs, etc. becomes part of your everyday life. Injuries (yesterday was a blood blister on my thumb!) just make everything more difficult. You are doing it right though: one project at a time and taking time to refresh your physical and mental health. Sending good vibes down your way!
This.... high dessert is where I bought my property as well. I'm also building and fixing from scratch. But I'm definitely having a great time doing this every weekend.
I just binge watched a whole bunch of your videos and got caught up. I cannot believe how much progress you have made. You are quite an inspiration. You are very motivated and talented.
You poor Darling, how frigging inconvenient! Maybe you've been forcibly sat down to make you slow down because you do give it your all and work hard. All the very best for a speedy recovery. Sending you healing from New Zealand 🇳🇿 💙🌏💙🦋
It sure doesn’t feel that was since I’ve been cooped up for the last week due to the weather. I was really looking forward to actually getting something done. 😫 oh well. It is what it is now. Thanks for the well wishes.
Ouch! Hope you feel better soon. Cuddle your doggy in the meantime.😊My body doesn’t always cooperate either. It will be so nice to have your dad out and feel like you can make more progress soon. We had a little dust storm and a few thunderstorms pass through southern AZ. Cheers, from Jeana and Jasper 🐶
Uggh, I feel you on the spraying - you gotta do what you gotta do though, you are only one person and you don't have unlimited time to spend on the land. Hope you feel better soon, my arthritic knees send their sympathy. We had our first frost here in my part of New Zealand this weekend and my knees are saying "YAY, time to rest" :))
Awww. When you feel up to it look on RUclips on how to use a tire/wheel to leverage pulling a post with your van. It will work and you won't have to dig. That is if you don't get a tractor soon. Good luck and get well.
Sorry to hear about your knee injury. I injured my knee last year. It was very painful. Had to use a cane for the better part of 2 weeks. Please take it easy and give it a chance to heal. If those posts aren't bedded in concrete you're 90% of the way there. I had 4x4 posts with 80 lbs of concrete on the bottom end - absolutely brutal. Just take your time with them. Rome wasn't built in a day. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Oh my, what an undertaking. You wouldn't think Marijuana would grow in that sort of soil. You could rent a small trencher and trench alongside those posts to wiggle them out versus digging the whole area. I used to bury utilities in Idaho so if you know what's under there (utility locates are usually free)....

Homesteading is hard work. Sorry for the knee injury. Hope your project list is less treacherous ahead!

Hopefully that was the last hoorah of winter for the whole region. I’m ready for warmer weather.

Tractor dates are set. Thank you though. ☺️

Thanks. The wood ones have a little concrete but I feel confident that they can be pulled out thru the sand with a tractor.
@@MyWayofEverything That's the best way! 😀
Love your videos
Sorry, hope the knee feels better soon!
Thank you. 😣

Wood posts can be burnt away by digging a small hole and setting a fire over/around the post.
After further consideration, a safer way would be to use cheep charcoal bricks around the post to burn the post
I want to reuse them but thanks for the suggestion
Rest up & just imagine how cool your views will be when you get the fence down 😊
Yup! Thank you.
try a knee brace that may help!
What county is that located in
