- What Kreg didn't explain in the owners manual that I discovered and thought I would share with everyone, in the hope it will help someone else.
I know it's a 2017 video but I got the Kreg Drawer Slide Jig I just watched your video and I just learned from you how you Mount the sliding for the drawer thank you boss God bless you
Thank you for watching and I appreciate the kind words.
It just so happens that I am putting some of those drawer slides in today. Your video was very helpful. Thanks very much. All the best, Brian in Australia.
Glad I could help on some way. Thank you for watching
Messed around with these slides today then realized I have the Kreggjig in a drawer and wondered if they Would make it easier.. RUclips sent me here… you win today.. thanks, great tip.

Noticed the Rockler apron...Any experience or comparison with the Rockler drawer slide jig?
No I have not used it. But thanks for watching.
looks like maybe they have a deal with the high priced drawer slide manufacturers. Thanks for the info.
Thank you for watching
No, most people want quality and not cheap chit.
There's a "new version" of these jigs on amazon, but no indication as to what the "new" features are. Any ideas?
No they look the same to me.
I have bottom mount glides that I need a replacement part, the socket. Would u know where I can find this piece looked everywhere
You might try Rockler or woodcraft. Maybe they have the actual slide and you could just replace the whole thing.
How do you mount the drawer epoxy rail to the drawer with the jig ?
Just follow the instructions that come with the jig it’s fairly simple.
this is what Im looking for
Thank you for watching glad I could help
Hi. I'm thinking of buying this jig, but can't figure out how it works on the bottom slides. Is it in the instruction booklet? Do you know how? Thanks a bunch.
If you mean drawer slides that mount on the bottom of the drawers I don't believe this jig will work with those.
Here is a link to the instructions and they show under mount slides.

Thank you very much for the quick answer. Much appreciate. The pdf gave me the idea for the best self-made jig for the bottom drawer.
when i clamped it on it was not level on the inside and i checked everythings around it to make sure it was square and level
jeff oldham not sure why maybe the set is off you can try contacting Kreg, they have excellent customer service
AND if you’re doing face frames, take the lower doors and hinges off so they don’t get in the way, and use a chisel or putty knife to get rid of any ancient glue that is hanging around, and pre-drill your slide mounting holes…
Good advice
Ok, so how did you align those slides with the bottom drawer?
I used thin wood strips to set the bottom drawer clearance for the slides
How do I install the bottom drawer with the jig?
The bottom drawer slides cannot be installed with the jig. You need to use wood scraps as spacers to lift the drawer slide off the bottom.
@@thomrider Thank you for the insight and quick reply.
Newbie 🩹
What about bottom drawer ?
I could not get it to
Work
Bottom drawer you would use a wood spacer not the Kreg jig
@@thomrider thank you i appreciate
I could not get it to work and there was no manual.
Well after my video maybe it will be clear how to use them.
@@thomrider Yes helped so much. Got one drawer done! 10 to go!!! Tx
Epoxy? Enamel! Perhaps!
Thanks for watching. They are epoxy coated drawer slides. That's what I've always called them.
BACKYARD WOODSHOP Thanks for correcting me. I’ve now googled it like I should have before I commented to the contrary.
It is strange and frustrating that kreg jig doesn’t address the use of these slides!
I guess whoever wrote the owners manual didn't think to include a section on epoxy drawer slides but the designer of the actual jig made a special shaped channel for them.
Thanks so much for this detail which is not. And I'm french and manuals are not very well translated so your explanation helps me a lot. Thanks
Your welcome thanks for watching.
who even uses this type of drawer slide nowadays ? the ball bearing ones are far superior in everyday and still reasonably priced.
I use them when I get them for free. Thank you for watching
That’s probably missing because why use old technology drawer slides when updated full extension easy close slides are far superior?
Some projects you don’t have to use more expensive slides and the old ones fit the bill.
I see you've got two those $40 self adjusting clamps that don't really work all the time, I really hate these things, I really do. I wouldn't buy another, NEVER!
I paid $20 each for mine and I have had no issues with them. I appreciate you sharing your experience with the clamps.
Thank you for watching
used these all weekend, total waste of my time. A piece of wood and a clamp, or another pair of hands, that's all. Only thing these things are good for are cabinets in new or like new condition that were made right to begin with. My old ass cabinets made by a blind troll are easier done by the eyemometer. Also, the drawer install is only good for drawers without overhangs.
Thank you for the review and your experience with them.
