It's underrated because it strayed from the original material. Anne Rice fans love their characters and when you race trade them because the liberal media says it's okay you get a sloppy show like this. The movie was ten times better
@@sfvpeckerwood Actually, changing the race gave Interview more of a background & a better story line. This new series is FAR from sloppy; it is well written & amazing. As a die hard Anne Rice fan, I have to say, the movie was great but, the new series is even better.

I love Daniel still guiding the scene and asking questions. He got the role that perfectly fits the charisma he exudes
Only Sampire could be stuck inside a coffin and think "This is peaceful"

This show deserves a Best Writing Emmy nomination for that line alone. As a lover of the novel, I absolutely believe Anne would be proud of this show. If you're on the fence about getting AMC+, this show alone makes it worth it (though Fingersmiths and Trans Generation are also brilliant). I can't wait to explore more of the content

This show is great I don't need anything else but more. And most have no clue of the epic stories to come . The Vampire Lestst ,The Queen of the Damned, The Tale of the Body Thief,Memnoch the Devil,The Vampire Armand,Merrick,Blood and Gold,Blackwood Farm,Blood Canticle,Prince Lestat,Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis,Blood Communion. And That's Not including the Mayfair Withes Before the intertwine. Please pull this off AMC. The world should have this. I Stan the IMMORTAL UNIVERSE!

I don’t think 8 years is enough to finish all of that unless they mix in storylines from different books and mash em together. I don’t know if I would like it much but if anyone could pull it off it’s this cast and crew with Rolin at the helm. He’s made a believer out of me. I’m most excited to see queen of the damned. I just started take of the body thief, but so far book 3 is my fav.

I would watch this even if there were no dialogue and all love scenes. That might actually make it better. No one cares about the other characters we're all just here for Louis and Lestat

@Claudia Du Lac Lioncourt not only that, the whole plantation owner thing isn't ever brought up again in the books after it's burned down in the beginning of the first book. I have no idea why people cling to that one thing as if him being a plantation owner is some major plot. weird.
The more you dig your heels in about a white Louis, more pathetic you look.. Ann Rice was alive then and fully aware of the new direction . The show is better for the changes.

Movie was better. You know why? They didn't stray from the original material. Stop race trading tv or movie rolls. Anne Rice has plenty of different cultures and races in her books. No need for political standpoints in media. Boooooo.
