But I am too adamant of changing the story I fell in love with as a teen and that made me regain my love for vampirism.
And I separate the actors from the production and the tv channel itself; I know the actors are not to blame for the direction they're asked to follow up. I really hated Rolin Jones being condescending and all the executive producer too while selling this show in interviews and in paid reviews with a smear campaign against the 90's movie claiming this show is "truer to the books" when we all know that is some serious manipulation and gaslighting. They were constantly saying things like "we made the story more interesting" that made it sound like the fandom doesn't know how to consume entertainment or got no taste at all.
It feels like they completely disrespected not just Anne's work and her son's work too (he had written the first episode for hulu) but the whole fandom.
I wouldn't dare to hate them for doing their work, but this show is like Rolin Jones pirated a Wattpad fanfiction by a fan.
No way… Brad Pitt and Tom Cruse …this 2022 version is….
Is just diferent
The best because these two can actually act and not hating each other in real life like Brad and Tom
THERE WAS NO NEED FOR A REMAKE OF TOM CRUISE & BRAD PITT'S WORK ......
It isn't a remake though. It's adaptation of the books. It has nothing to do with the original movie. It's better than the original movie.
@@petboy5839 YOU MAY THINK IT IS BETTER BUT NOT ALL OF US AGREE ON THAT
@@virgoqueen8950 You haven't even seen the show. The movie seems like trash now that I've seen the show.
@@petboy5839 YOUR OPINION IS JUST THAT........YOUR OPINION.......LOL & SMH
@@virgoqueen8950 After you watch it you'll agree with me.
disappointed
no one asked
Please tell me they don’t have these stupid accents 🤢
You weirdo...
I'm sure your accent is just peachy.
Actors, you know, acting!!
Says a Lopez.
Jacob is English and Sam is Australian. They don’t have stupid accents, they are answering questions in their natural voices. They are actors. Watch the series Jacob speaks with an American accent and Sam speaks with a French accent.
Thanks to all this new age, pc crap, they ruined this. No interest in this at all.
Oh no, the characters are gay like in the books. Oh no, they cast a black guy as lead actor. Grow up.
@@Juleru Well said. The amount of narrow minded people is dreadful.
Not sure what's politically correct in this show. It touches on a lot of controversial and violent themes.
Absolutely disgusting show 🤮🤮🤮
LOL
It's really well done, actually.
wrong ☺️
Troll
Yes and it's glorious.
This show is a complete mockery of what Anne Rice did
You understand Annes son is gay and her whole story down to the bones was a allegory for how hard gay love is perceived by the outside world. They have literal sex in the pages of the book. Im convinced you've never read it and maybe just passively saw the 93 cocktails of pieces of the book and are going on that. That would be so low btw.
@@spoons250 everything in the books is implicit. I dont know what books you were reading. Their bodies literally die in the books. It is very graphic in the way they die. ALL of their bodily fluids go away. They have no use for sex. It is VERY clear on this. They are ASEXUAL lovers, and not in the way we think of lovers. They are not HOMOSEXUAL partners or lovers. They dont penetrate each other. I am not going to argue about this with you or anyone else. You are just wrong. The end
@@spoons250 Anne didn't write about his sons' homosexuality with those books, nor was about gay hardships.
Why is a black man playing Louie? It makes absolutely no sense if you have read the books and are committed to the characters! You cant change a book to fit a show especially when the writer has died!
Anne was involved with the production of the show though...Unfortunately she passed while in production, but she was involved and obviously so were/are the books. It's a brilliant adaptation that brings a lot of depth to Louis' story!
What are you talking about? Do you know how many movies I’ve had to watch Black and Brown characters be turned into white MY ENTIRE LIFE?
And for him to be Creole IN NEW ORLEANS?! In the 1800’s? You’re surprised?
