The way the fireteams were working towards the 1st Pershing felt like a U-boat wolfpack closing in on a target... well done bagging 2 Pershings! Just goes to underscore that powerful tanks are still mincemeat if support and situational awareness are poor. Excellent spotting and spotter-gunner coordination! Gunner (from the voice ... Nutti? or Jackson?) was superb - fast reaction and great marksmanship. I've rarely heard Vade lose his usual calm composure and sound like an excited schoolkid who just found a truckload of candy - but whenever he does that it usually means bad news for the other side 😆 @2:40 who would've thought the trees' ability to block all ordnance in PS would finally come in useful? 😁
Historical Pershing Info The first shipment of twenty Pershings arrived in Antwerp in January 1945. These were split between the 3rd and 9th Armored Divisions and were the first of 310 M26s to reach Europe before the end of the war. Of these, around 20 saw combat. I guess this video reflects the 20 that saw action. With such a lack of involvement in WW2, I’m not sure why the development team thought the Pershing should be in the game. Maybe for historical fiction or “what if” battles. Nice to have in the game despite the reality of the lack of the M26 on the battlefield.
The jagd tiger is also in the game and those must have been rare. If you really want accuracy, the game should make the Germans use panzer 4 and stugs way more often than the heavy tanks.
@@Nessman6wich they do. The thing is you can instantly choose the heavy tanks. And between 100 for the jagdtiger and 20 for the Pershing is still a difference. The annoying thing is that the Pershing wasn’t used until very late February 1945. While the jagtiger first saw action in the battles resulted in the German aim of recapturing Saarbrücken in early January. Those are the battles depicted on the maps were you can use them. I’m not too annoyed by it but it’s stilll a point that should be considered since historical accuracy is one of the biggest selling points of the game. Maybe it would have been cooler to just wait with the Pershing and add Battle of Cologne and Remagen Bridge and dropping it with them.
honestly the perishing is fine. they were added to give both teams a heavy tank. this also allows them to avoid the typical gamey balance of a heavy tank fighting medium tanks.
