You are totally right about seeing it in theaters. Audience was clapping for every villain when they first appeared in screen then again when Andrew and Toby came in. People were cheering when Andrew got his Gwen Stacy redemption by saving MJ. It was a whole vibe seeing it opening day, truly.
ngl, I am one of those people that used to roll my eyes when people applauded during movies. But this movie made me realize why people do it, the dopamine rush of certain scenes was too much to contain.
Personally, that's what made me not enjoy this movie at all. People kept clapping at every appearance, and whistle at every catchphrase, which was like every 5mns... Plus half the people in the theatre explaining to the people that didn't get that or that joke/reference was so frustrating. I didn't enjoy the experience of watching it in a full theatre. Went back the next day at midnight with only few people that already saw it and boy was it ten times better

I mean then again if he had shut tf up when homeboy was doing the spell or yk explained the exceptions he wanted in the spell he wouldn’t be in that situation
Seems to be great confusion about what was forgotten with the Strange Memory spell. Spiderman wasn't forgotten, MCU Peter Parker was. So everything he did as Spiderman is remembered. That includes the events from Infinity War and Endgame. They will remember Spiderman was there but not what his face looked like or what his real name is. The spell was made for MCU Peter Parker, so it doesn't effect other variants.
They didn’t know MCU Parker - they knew their respective Peters. That’s what got them there. So wiping the MCU world of Tom shouldn’t stop the multiverse since they never knew him to begin with. It’d have to wipe the others ya know
In venom 2, venom talks about how they have a hive mind that shares info through the multiverse. The reason Eddie's Venom showed up is because the OG venom knew, about Peter.

Holland’s spider man being the leader made sense. He had spoken to and gotten to know all the villains and understood how to fight with people when Andrew and Tobey have never teamed up with anyone. It made sense it’s not just about maturity.
It would’ve made equal sense to have Peter 2 be the leader, since he HAS the most experience not to mention a rich history with most of the villains, especially Norman Osborn. But ultimately it is Tom’s movie so the spotlight needs to be on him and that’s cool, too.
@@alittlebitofjessica think they made Tom peter 1 cause he has been in a team before than tobey and Andrew . But all three can literally be leaders cause they are all Spider-Man after all
It doesn’t make sense. It only makes Seanad if the other Spidermen lived in ice since their movies. Tobey and Andrew have decades more experience. Tobey even in his films worked with Harry and had actual teamwork in there. We’re supposed to believe in 20 years no other superhero existed in their worlds? Even in Amazing 2 he was working with Gwen at the end. Knowing the villains and knowing them as villains is completely different.
I noticed when you said the triple spoiler warning that the word spoiler showed up in three different fonts one for Toby one for Andrew and one for Tom. The 3 spidermen were epic!!!

@@Cpk86 Did you even pay attention? Spider-Man beat him, because Dr. Strange wasn't serious, arrogant and caught off-guard. He didn't go to another college, because every college rejected him. This wasn't just about MIT. It was about making people forget, that he is spider-man and putting his friends in danger.
Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man had the most swag and confidence out of the 3 Spideys. From the swinging, to the webbing, and the banter with enemies. *hope he gets a Spider-Man Story movie with Tom Hardy, if his Venom doesn’t make it back to the MCU.
Possible but not likely. Although Andrew loves the Spider-Man character, he is now much older and has moved on to other projects. Most importantly, Marvel wouldn’t take the spotlight off of Tom Holland who finally got his origin story and has reverted back to the classic iteration of the character. Sony on the other hand is focused on Miles Morales as Spider-Man.
10:10 I wouldn’t disagree more. The movie explained perfectly why holland became the leader, cause he has experience with working as a team whereas the other 2 don’t. (Amazing scene) ps: I never jumped on the hate train on Garfield. He is the best Spider-Man with the worst script. But he genuinely LOVES the character
They’re all great as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, but Garfield kills it in this even more than Holland imo. It is a possibility that we could get a (hopefully decent) Amazing Spider-Man 3.
All the Spider-Men were good in their own way, and I liked that the director gave them all a chance to be the best version of themselves without hogging the spotlight. Tobey’s Peter 2 was the wisened, soft-spoken Peter. Andrew’s Peter 3 was the charismatic, wise-cracking one, and Tom’s Peter 1 is the earnest, coming-of-age Peter. I don’t care that this was all fan-service, it was the closure these characters needed.
I love that since only the memory of Peter Parker was wiped and not Spider-Man, that means Ned and MJ now have all of these strange memories of helping Spider-Man and either being in love with him or best friends with him but with no knowledge of how or why. Not to mention Toomes who is probably losing his shit trying to remember who Spider-Man was since that was pretty integral to the whole climax of Homecoming.
I disagree a bit with Toby being the leader. I liked that it was tom bc it was his spell and universe that he was taking responsibility for. And he was the only spidey that has worked in a team with other ppl at this level. Whereas Toby and Andrew are independent spider men. But I agree the best is spiderman 2 with doc oc. He was my childhood, the nostalgia scream in the theater was amazing
@@Lobthebotomy well it was toms movie and universe and toby has only teamed up once with harry while tom teamed up more times so he would be better at it
I'm glad that they had Andrew catch MJ in this movie after what they made his effort to save MJ just killed her quicker! Also you know damn well that every theater in the world erupted in applause and cheers when Andrew caught Tom's version of MJ and at least taking some of the personnel hate he felt towards himself for his MJ dying!
We cheered at that. And he was all teary eyed and asking her if she was ok. That was the moment he relived for a long time: the decision to grab her with his web instead of leaping and catching MJ in his arms, then landing or slowing the fall. Arghhhhhhhhh it was such a heartfelt moment! Loved this movie for so many reasons 😄🥺😄

I think they didn‘t include the ‚bring back the dead loved ones‘ because it would be too much effort to get someone like Emma Stone into this movie and then have her for just a few minutes. Also the actor that played Ben Parker in Sam Raimis Spiderman died in 2011. So yeah I can understand that they didn‘t even try it because it would have been a useless scene in a already 2 and a half hours long movie to show them trying to bring them back and fail.

No... Lol no. Good God no. They are doing pre MCU Spidey, an Andrew Garfield Spidey which is good. But the next step is to now merge Spider-Man into Fantastic 4. The reason this movie did so well was it incorporated the MCU with the old Pre MCU... And it allowed them to retcon the shitty endings that originally did lol. It was a Spider-man tribute... A love letter... And a soft boot all going forward. To turn our spider man away from the MCU would be a death sentence for Sony. Yes they did great with the nostalgia... But there's only so much of that, that will work well. Overuse it and you lose your audience. What they need to do know is establish adult Spider-man that we all love from the comics... And establish that human torch and Spider-Man relationship. Bring Spidey in again as a side character to bigger MCU stuff. And the best way to get Fantastic 4 off the ground is to game Spider-man in it, boosting it along... Especially if they have fantastic 4 little cameos in the next Spidey movie of Tom's. That would be great! And then just focus on Spider-man coming into his own through the trilogy. But establish his next friends and next enemies. I think MJ will come back to him somehow. They hinted at that. But Ned, who knows?? I'm keen to know though if Ned remembers he was helping Spider-man as his chair guy or not, or of that's gone coz he knew more of Peter than he thought of him as Spider-man. We'll see. But I definitely want to see some Johnny and Peter action in future!!! They gotta be the BFFs they were meant to be damn it!!!

The point was that the spidermen could change the way they handled previous confrontations, they just didn’t want to make the same mistakes by saving these versions even if it means nothing will change for themselves which is truly a selfless act
I've always loved spiderman and each incarnation... but Spoiler Spoiler Spoilers for no way home The BEST moment of the whole movie... was not Tobey and Andrew coming in. It wasnt all 3 spidermen working together. It was the 3 meeting eachother... and seeing the real origin for Tom's spiderman.. not only does he finally get the famous words but different.. he grows so much... and both Andrew and Tobey had such a good performance.. honestly may be one of my favorite movies ever. The feels I had when the previous spidermen came to comfort Tom's version... best thing ever
Tbh after seeing no way home it made me rethink wanting Spider-Man in the MCU, like Tom’s spider man is good, but it’s made me realize how interesting and more in-depth they get with the other spider mans when they’re the only super hero in their universe.
Honestly you made a lot of good points. When it comes to Tom changing everyone’s timeline that was going thru my mind when he made the decision to “fix” everyone. Only we can imagine the repercussions. It didn’t cross my mind that strange making everyone forget Peter Parker could impact Tobey and Andrew and that’s kinda upsetting since it only caused an issue in the Marvel universe. Hopefully a true Spider-Man movie will be made after this. I love all the points you made in this video! I’m excited to see what’s next from Peter.
I saw it on opening night (Thursday) and on Christmas Day. Definitely wish I could see it on opening night again. It was insane. People were cheering when Charlie Cox came on screen, screaming when Andrew appeared, and bawling when Toby got stabbed. While it was really fun to see it on Christmas with my family, nothing beat opening night. It was truly incredible.
The thing about some vilans coming back, but not the loved ones is actually explained by Dr Strange. He actually said "some of them squeaked through" meaning that not everyone managed to come back and get through. But I agree, this thing about Electro is weird because he did not even know Peter Parker was Spider-Man. And about Electro, they also explained why his looks were different he said "in another universe ? That explains why the power looked different here" or something like that. Anyway, I totally loved the part where he said that he thought Peter Parker was black
I haven't rewatched The Amazing SpiderMan 2 yet, but I read comments that said Gwen shouted out Peter's name while he was in costume and that's how he figured it out.
it's not supposed to be taken so seriously, it's just a movie most classics have a plethora of plot wholes if you try to find them: its just entertainment.
@@channelname4331 ik but the Marvel films usually follow a logic - even tho it is sometimes kind of shaky. They usually explain everything that is happening in the MCU with science
My theory is that this Electro is from a different timeline - an alternate version of Andrew's movie that we never got to see. Or better yet, he comes from a Spider-Man timeline where Spidey is Miles Morales 🤷🏽♀️
I was surprised doc oc wasn’t more of a villain, and honestly I hated how this movie ended until the very end when peter was completely alone it made everything up until now feel like an origin story to peters we know from the game etc. and it didn’t feel like the end like he was going to meet mj and ned again
No way home was a definitely a treat, and I love how it gave Andrew’s Peter closure with MJ, and the chemistry between the Peters was great, also the ending where Tim’s Peter start brutally beating Green Goblin really hit home that he’s just a kid and he’s dealing with all this responsibility and loss only gif Tobey’s Peter to come in and stop him and save the Green Goblin really was something, the ending was really bittersweet and I’m excited to see where they go from here, seeing it in theatres really was something though
11:01 In TASM2 before Gwen helps Andrew she said “Peter" then Electro woke up. And electro being a Spider-man fan and Peter being “ Spider-man's camera guy" he probably know who Peter is
The only good thing about this movie is that its 200% nostalgia bait and that's enough. Thankfully there is enough call backs to make you forget that Peter started this to protect his friends and family, then immediately changes his mind to protect varified criminals that end up killing his family and taking away his friends. I know he's young but after all he's been through you would think he would be so damn naive.
I'm actually tired of clowns claiming this movie is "objectively" better than spider-verse. Give me a break lmao No way home manage to reach some heights, But the lows dude. It's basically the mariana trench
@@Fer-st4nb Agreed. Very much enjoyed, but in my book, wasn't even close. Still more excited for Across The Spider-Verse (with an ambitious Part 1 tag, I may add).
@mmm mmm none of the previous Spidermen were perfect after dealing with their first villains. They became more experienced but they still made mistakes in their next films.
@mmm mmm so Tom fighting everyday criminals and then the avengers in civil war is more realistic? Or how he went from fighting a vulture to one of the most powerful beings in the universe?

The villains didn’t grow from their last appearance because they’re dead. And our Spider-Men lived on. Also, I don’t think it was ever implied this spell would affect the other realities.
Andrew Garfield was actually always my fav Spider-Man even though I grew up with Tobey Maguire. I always cry when Gwen Stacy dies and overall just found the movies more engaging. It always broke my heart how much people hated on his movies and it’s hilarious how much some people are starting to see that they weren’t that bad to begin with 🗿🗿 and how they want him to reprise his role 🗿🗿🗿
Also you could argue that the spell only affected Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, like it was directed at him specifically. Which would track, because all the villains are being pulled to Tom’s timeline. It’s not the best explanation, maybe not even a good one, but it would at least track.

Nothing makes you happier than seeing the og cast of spiderman reprising their roles after all those years. These dude gave me the happiest earliest childhood memories and i couldn't be more thankful that i got to discover more of my favourite marvel characters.
doesnt this movie affect the ending of TASM2? andrews spidey is from the end of that movie but all the villains are pulled from their climactic moment it seemed, so when electro returns he could actually alter the ending, and andrews spidey could return home to find that his gwen is alive and also things are more upbeat #peter3 #tasm3 lol
the audience losing it was truly the best part of the movie (especially the second time i saw it when i knew exactly what was coming) also YES ON TICK TICK BOOM ANDREW GARFIELD FREAKING KILLED IT IN THAT MOVIE
Andrew was everything in this movie ! The emotion he brought up was crazzzyyyy !!! Tom was good too on the emotion but and now Tobey feel like such a OG with his calm demeanor through and through 👏🏾👏🏾
Out of every superhero, Spider-Man is my guy. I have only cried in, like, two superhero movies, and when I saw Toby and Andrew come onto the screen, my friend was like are you crying? She is not into superheroes, but came with me. Bless her heart that she did not understand that I've been waiting for this moment since Toby first stepped into that Spidey suit.
I have to disagree that 'you have to know the other movies to get this one'. 7:52 I brought 2 kids that didn't remember the other spiderman movies because they haven't seen them in years. They thought they were just different people and accepted it, no back story required. "What was the name of the Spiderman that needed a haircut?" 🤣 The youngest asked because he said he felt sad for him.
So I’m gonna try explain some plot holes. in regards to bringing back old loved ones, they probably would’ve came at the end through the purple rips in the sky as anyone who knew Peter Parker was spider man would come through, but that excludes uncle Ben as he wouldn’t know Peter was Spider-Man. The reason they’re not in the whole movie is strange said he contained the spell before more got through. As for them coming and returning to different times, as per MCU rules the timeline wouldn’t change per say it would just create another universe in which the timelines changes but the events of the movies would still be true for Tobey and Andrew If that makes sense. And as for when Tobey and Andrew go home, they would go to a world where nobody remembers them either which is kinda sad to think about. Electro coming though is something that can’t be explained really
The spell doesn't affect Tobey's or Andrew's Spiderman bc Tom asked for HIS Peter Parker to be forgotten. It's why all the other universes were collapsing into his world, bc they were drawn to him and therefore, they'd need to forget him specifically in order for the spell to reverse.
The thing about the dead loved ones coming back was actually supposed to be explored apparently but because of covid and the fact that Emma Stone was pregnant at the time, they were unable to travel for the film.
Wait if everyone forgot Peter Parker was spider man in the end, why weren't MJ and Ned still friends with Peter? They knew Peter as a friend already before they found out he was spider-man
logically, im just confused why peter didn't just ask Strange to get everyone to forget mysterio instead, but tbh idec about the rest of it, this movie was the best experience i've had in a theatre in a while
Bruh my face mask was soaked with tears and snot throughout this film. I knew about the leaks for months and stayed away from social media so much. The cinema experience is still priceless.
Yeah, I was lucky enough that my brother took me and other interested family members to go see it in theaters. And that the crowd we saw it with were loud fans like us. It was so awesome especially as someone who usually has to 'mask' to be seen as a polite theater audience member. And no not a mouth mask, if you know you know and if you don't you don't. But yeah so glad I saw this in theaters with my family and an amazing crowd. ^^
I always thought electro wishing Spider-Man was black was a reference to the fact that before they casted Andrew Garfield there was a huge petition to have Donald Glover play Spider-Man and people were mad "Spider-Man can't be black" and that's what inspired the creation of Miles Morales
My only complaint about trying to add miles morales is the timing would be horrible. They've reset Spiderman to square one. You need to have like a decade of him establishing himself before adding Miles or he can't be a mentor to him.
@@SomeDigitalGhost nah they can just have miles be an annoying kid next door, he doesn't have to be spidey yet when tom wants to go they can kill him off and replace him with miles
They are pulled out of different times and universes seeing that in the MCU every variation makes a different timeline and universe. Therefore Goblin is taken before he is killed, as well as Doc Ock. And sure he doesn’t save every single villain in every single universe, but he saves these ones, which is the point. Also, since every variation is a different timeline, tobey and Andrew just go back to their original timeline, not the same timeline as all the other villains, and therefore the repercussions of the villains being cured will not be felt in their universes.
this movie is so satisfying if you’ve also seen the toby & andrew spider-man’s, all the references and nods had me so ecstatic. i personally didn’t like the ending at all or the major character death but overall i enjoyed the movie
I love how no way home pretty much gave Andrew the closure he so rightfully deserves.

Yeah he was also in the avengers which made him used to being on a team
He had experience fighting with a team than the two as well
It would’ve made equal sense to have Peter 2 be the leader, since he HAS the most experience not to mention a rich history with most of the villains, especially Norman Osborn. But ultimately it is Tom’s movie so the spotlight needs to be on him and that’s cool, too.

(Amazing scene)
ps: I never jumped on the hate train on Garfield.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie with the closure for the other Spidey's. Especially the redemption for Andrew's Spiderman.
But I was hoping for them to introduce a live action Miles Morales.
I think he's still too young in the timeline. In Homecoming they had Donald Glover as his Uncle Aaron and depending on the snap situation he might still be a kid. Plus with the Across the Spiderverse films Sony probably doesn't want to have two at the same time.

I think they didn‘t include the ‚bring back the dead loved ones‘ because it would be too much effort to get someone like Emma Stone into this movie and then have her for just a few minutes. Also the actor that played Ben Parker in Sam Raimis Spiderman died in 2011. "Like he was being raptured." I'm dead. The best parts of the movie came from Spider Man pre-MCU and that's where he needs to go. #JusticeForGarfield
No...

When it comes to tobey I think they gave him some great scenes on the emotional front. He started the conversation about loss and how even with getting the man who killed uncle Ben didn’t bring him any happiness. Plus him stopping Tom!peter from killing goblin….it establishes tobeys spidey is the strongest and there’s no words in that scene just him looking him in the eyes. It was so powerful. This is my favourite No Way Home review yet. Toby being zoned out is exactly what I thought.

“Hey strange can you make it so everyone forgets what mysterio said about me?”
"When he said I love you to the other two, they should've said it back" had me dyinggggg 🤣
I haven't rewatched The Amazing SpiderMan 2 yet, but I read comments that said Gwen shouted out Peter's name while he was in costume and that's how he figured it out.
it's not supposed to be taken so seriously, it's just a movie

It was an open-ended ending for sure. I personally hope he does see those two again.
if ned doesn't know peter is spider-man, they might adapt the comics where ned becomes the hobgoblin
I can indeed confirm, working at the movie theatre these past couple weeks has been hectic.
And electro being a Spider-man fan and Peter being “ Spider-man's camera guy" he probably know who Peter is
I personally took the healing as Peter is giving them a chance what they do with it is on them but like his aunt Peter always gives people a chance

The villains didn’t grow from their last appearance because they’re dead. And our Spider-Men lived on.

Green Goblin may have been a good villain but he's going to be nothing compared to Spiderman's final best villain: Mr. Diktovitch

I just realized you haven’t done Dune yet. The streets need that from you.
Having Andrew's spiderman back in Hardy's univers would be AMAZING.
I had such a great time!! The audience was amazing and the movie was for fun. I loved it so much!!
The thing about the dead loved ones coming back was actually supposed to be explored apparently but because of covid and the fact that Emma Stone was pregnant at the time, they were unable to travel for the film.
That's really interesting, do you remember where you heard that?
Tobey and Andrew returning to this film literally broke me. Childhood dreams come true.
Wait if everyone forgot Peter Parker was spider man in the end, why weren't MJ and Ned still friends with Peter? They knew Peter as a friend already before they found out he was spider-man
the spell was designed so that everyone forgot about peter parker, making it like he never existed in the first place
@janelle okay thanks
the last review i've been waiting for
logically, im just confused why peter didn't just ask Strange to get everyone to forget mysterio instead, but tbh idec about the rest of it, this movie was the best experience i've had in a theatre in a while
He could've just asked Dr. Strange to make everyone forget Mysterio and his name would've been cleared.
"That's not how the spell works."
Plus he already said it was too late
TRUE
@@peabodysherman7116 not really but it's late at night so I'm not gonna start
“My Back….My Back” … so stuck in my head after my shifts 😂☝🏽
Do Arcane next! I want to know what you think of it!
The end really broke my heart a little bit
Captain America's first movie also straight up just had a trailer on the post credit scene for Avengers. It is indeed a pretty odd choice.
I appreciate the triple spoiler warning with the different fonts
I always thought electro wishing Spider-Man was black was a reference to the fact that before they casted Andrew Garfield there was a huge petition to have Donald Glover play Spider-Man and people were mad "Spider-Man can't be black" and that's what inspired the creation of Miles Morales
My only complaint about trying to add miles morales is the timing would be horrible. They've reset Spiderman to square one. You need to have like a decade of him establishing himself before adding Miles or he can't be a mentor to him.
@@SomeDigitalGhost nah they can just have miles be an annoying kid next door, he doesn't have to be spidey yet
when tom wants to go they can kill him off and replace him with miles
I'll say this about them, there were finally some serious stakes in an MCU Spiderman movie.
