Do not pay $65 for that benchmade sharpener. It's $40 all day long everywhere when you get the Worksharp branded version. It is the same sharpener and Worksharp makes the both anyway. I got one about a month ago and can't recommend it enough.

Buying Snap-On tools and complaining they're expensive is like standing in a bucket of water and complaining it's wet.

Worst thing to do to your knife is to use a carbide pull through sharpener. It tends to rip material off of the blade and the edge angles are always incorrect. Get the worksharp branded version of the Benchmade sharpener and you will really get the most out of your knife. Please don’t use this thing!

I've got an old Sabatier carbon steel chef's knife that's just destroyed by using a carbide pull through. It really needs reshaping but I'm gonna lose an awful lot of metal to get a usable edge again.

Thanks for the warning. I'll never use pull-through carbide rigs.

I expected I'd be able to find that same sharpener on the CRKT site, but no. (It doesn't help that their site is a hot mess - that design worked when they had 1/10 the products but not now.) It seems odd they'd custom design a product for Snap-on with the Snap-on painted and the CRKT molded in, but here we are.

Why buy the Snap On price for C.C.P. manufacture, and the Snap On name in cheap paint that soon wears off?
Then there's the sharp finger grip ergos, and the sub 2in stub of ceramic rod dwarfed by a Worksharp of similar size.
    Hard pass on this one!
