I can't believe this! Mariah is doing so much better now than few year ago. The main thing - she restored her midtones and this allows her to put all stuff in her songs together. Finally, this happened. She is not there where she was in early 1990s, but she is amazing and articulate her voice the way it was back then. It is again sounds like a magic river for me.
I don't think she lost her voice ever. I just think that she got lazy, then got out of practice in return. Now, she's singing again, and getting better. Let's hope this escalates continuously because this is the Mariah that I know and love.
Enjoying her performances is what I want, but I just can't enjoy them because I don't feel them at all. I love Mariah, but I love live singing too, and she almost never delivers a complete live performance nowadays. I look for her live performances hoping they are actually "live" but I always feel so desappointed after watching them.

The scale she does before the last chorus is great and live and the last adlibs are also great and live. I think people are too damn critical of Mariah and worse of all, the criticism is not objective and constructive but full of anger and scorn. That is what I hate.

The tour in Beijing was wise. Singing 13 post-butterfly songs out of 18songs, she can handle most of these songs which are in her comfort zone
