Someone made a 100days video in Svartelfheim with human npc mod and used the draconic mod. The npc's endedvup raiding him multiple times during the playthrough and were riding dragons
I love this mod, it is so nice to have a chance to get some rare resources so early in game. YES, I have been raided by the NPCs before. The first time it happened I thought I had accidently joined a PvP server.
If its the same as the ASE version of the Mod, Raids start once your base reaches a certain size, I think it's at least 12 foundations. You can also craft a Mod exclusive engram "peace" sign to stop the raids.
I saw the no raid sign but I didn't use it because I really wanted to see a raid. Maybe they didn't raid me because I kept having BBQ's and inviting everyone over 😆🍻
I used to ASE version of the mod, my base got ‘raided’ several times by these guys, my base was on an Island in Fjordur where there were no permanent human npc camps spawned, the raids might spawn less if there is a normal npc camp nearby. I built a separate base exclusively for all the human NPCs i tamed too on another island, and that base was also raided
The modding community on Ark is really exciting, there’s mods on the game now that have so much potential for creating a variety of world writhing the game.
I actually had a raiding party come after me yesterday, now that you mention it 🤣I didn't realize that was a thing and thought it was odd when it happened, so cool to know that was actually a mod feature haha. I was just crafting stuff in my smithy when I heard my dinos attacking something. Turned around and a few NPC bags were laying in front of them. Then I looked out a little bit and saw a few more NPCs and some riding Raptors were still on the way to my base. Quickly took them out, but if I hadn't had any tames yet? I'd probably be screwed haha.
For everyone having trouble with the spawning I suggest lowering the amount of NPCs to 50-70. You'll have encounters but not suffer from meshing and they will stop eating all the dino spawns as well. There's a command for consoles to do this and in PC the mod page details how to do it as well.
Not sure if I was using the same human npc mod or not but the one I used to use was awful. Every human npc was aggressive and aggroed on me right away. They were everywhere in groups of like 15. I want a mod where it adds like 4 or 5 camps around the map that are friendly (unless provoked) and 2 or 3 that are hostile. They may roam in groups to hunt, gather, ect and you can recruit them for your base automation
If you're on PC then this one gives you a heap of control via the ini files and you could achieve a lot of that. If you're like me and on console then we're stuck with the default settings for the moment 🍻
@zachfreedom644 I don't know since when but I have the mod in my world and can equip ascendant gear to them and they show the cliffans wardrobe cosmetics. Only thing to notice is that you must reequip the gear everytime you log in. Otherwise it will not show the cliffans wardrobe skin
What I like about this mod is for me mostly being solo adds life to the maps so I’m not the only survivor. I found it’s really cool if you like building bases or villages. There’s little to no animations, but when I make my villages these NPC’s really make my creations look like a lived in village. Also for PC users there is loads of settings you can play around with via ini settings. You can change how hard they hit, hit points, armor, what Dino’s they can use, how many NPCs can spawn or how many bases etc.. honestly it’s just cool for base/village role plays. Would recommend. 👍
Started playing not too long ago (solo island learning). I've seen one guy on a Rex. Also had failed raid attempts from NPCs. I have 3 Rexs and an Allo so I'm not in any real danger yet. But I'll be fortifying my defenses for sure!

I love this mod, I have fun watching them get into fights on the beach, the other day in front of my base there was one riding an argentavis fighting with a bunch of wolf, just out of nowhere he found himself in the water with the argentavis and the argentavis knocked him down in the water, after that his own argentavis started attacking him, I was almost making popcorn to watch all that chaos xD
Have been on the receiving end of a raid. They were riding raptors mainly, but I have the draconic mod turned on and one infact pulled up on a dragon so beware of the modded Dino’s you have
I'm reading a few people having some issues with the clothes but I didn't notice anything too major. I did however notice the hair didn't always render until you were right on top of them 🍻
I get raided every hr or two, wolf riders raptor and sabertooth, ptera riders, i saw one riding another dino from another mod cross tween baryonix and spino...they bola me and jump me, keeps my head on a swivel. Gives me the pvp paranoia in solo, love it. I also have the fantasy creatures with goblin and orcs n trolls things go south when i think its humans and it an 140 orc instead...lol
Update 2 months later, i am building a tribe of alpha humans, everything alpha mod, once they are all in ascendent armor upgraded ill pop primal nemesis mod in to die spartan deaths....
I’ve been raided several times and my word they go hard!! They’ll be turning up on direwolves and raptors, even terror birds - but that’s the least of your troubles! They knock you out in like 1 tranq arrow and one of the classes wields a sword, so if you get KO’d and there’s no tames near you to distract them, you’re getting butchered while you’re out on the floor! It’s very frustrating, but oh mate it is fun! XD

I play by myself and built a house in the woods, as I put the platform down three npc ran up on me and at this specific location I built they seem to raid my house like every other day if not every day. Non of my other houses get raided but that one and it’s very often 😂
It tested it in ASE in 3 days they multiplied and took over every bit of space on the maps they spawned inside my bases with no doors no openings comply floored and sealed in bases i could only enter by beds, they even got inside my tek force-field bubble. they swarmed over my bubble by day 5 and black out the sky i flew up and the entire map was covered in 20 feet deep on human bodies squirming op top of eachother from edge to edge even the ocean was overflowing. I never touch the ini so not sure what was causing it. I tested on other maps trying to keep there numbers down they would rebuilt and respawn in minutes even though i had no no trees rocks respawn settings on. So they are independent of the game spawn rate. all in all i decided they made the game unplayable as i had no control over them and what default rates they were using.
I'm doing great, thanks for asking. And no, being on PS5 single player I don't have access to ini stuff. I'm tempted to rent a server for a while to have a play around with all the settings and especially to try and trigger some raids 🍻
If you've installed the mod you need to activate it under the single player settings before you start. I think it's under mods settings in the single player menu 🍻
so far i cant get them to not attack me lol and do you know if the level of the dinos on the map have anything to do with the npc levels? they seem way stronger than me lol
That's very true. If you are on PC then there are settings in the ini file that are worth playing around with to see if you can limit their spawns to where they aren't as frequent 🍻
They spawn wild in random spots and set up settlements but there are actual spawn codes on their discord if you really want to spawn some of your own without going through the friend making exercise 🍻
I agree. A scaling of difficulty would be great but a real challenge to implement on multi-player servers. The mod author has been hinting at updates coming in the not to distant future so we'll have to wait and see 🍻

Finally, a good review on this mod!!! People with much more subs make abysmal reviews that are not understandable at all. Also, I've been raided before. They come in groups of twelve, they broght raptors, firewolves, and sabertooths. I didn't see it exactly happened in waves, tho. Their AI is absolutely terrible, and also prevent dino spawns. They do not harvest materials that well, but instead walk around and steal stuff from your smithies and storage boxes. Occasionally smacking a rock in the face.
As long as they are friendly just put some taming food in your last slot and walk up to them and hit the button. I didn't get a prompt but it still worked. I tried cooked meat and jerky but couldn't tell if one was better than the other 🍻
I'd love to experience a few raids. I'm on PS5 and I'm wondering if there's a setting that hasn't carried over. Still, I intend to keep playing until that happens 🍻
It shows up on the mod list on PS5. Not sure why it wouldn't be showing on xbox and I'm not seeing any mention of the issue on their discord. It's a weird one for sure 🤔
Yeah, unfortunately it hasn't been updated in a long time. The mod author has a new update in the works so hopefully it fixes a lot of the issues when it finally drops 🍻
I dont like this mod at all... the "wild" npc are kiling dinos I want to tame and are even attacking me without reason when exploring I delted it very soon after installation
Perfectly understandable. If you ever find yourself giving it another go there is an ini setting (if you're on PC) that can set the wild NPC's to friendly. But if you're on console like me then sadly that option isn't currently available 🍻
this should just be in the base game. i dont play multiplayer so if my freinds arent on with me this game is very grindy and boring. having other "people" to interact with would be bad ass
I think this is why we’re getting something similar for Ark 2 it’s a great idea especially for a game that feels so lonely and dead without other people
No offense, but it’s not even close. Your mod has no animations or anything so they just T-pose and hover around while completely still including their faces, they can’t do anything or help with a base, and there’s nothing like building settlements or raiding. It also hasn’t been updated since January. I hope to see it improve but it is completely broken and pointless as is IMO. It is pretty funny tho lol

Havent dealt with turrets but had a npc on a giga it was terrifying. Although it didnt like running off the mountain and it died to fall damage

A few people have reported the modded dinos as part of a raid. Would definitely keep you on your toes for sure 🍻

I'm reading a few people having some issues with the clothes but I didn't notice anything too major. I did however notice the hair didn't always render until you were right on top of them 🍻
@@CapnMcRummy For me their hair just looks misplaced on their head so u see the scalp. Only 1 that looks normal is the default hair.

That would be my guess too. It would make sense that their levels reflect the difficulty you have the map set at 🍻

How do you tame them
As long as they are friendly just put some taming food in your last slot and walk up to them and hit the button. I didn't get a prompt but it still worked. I tried cooked meat and jerky but couldn't tell if one was better than the other 🍻
I cant find the spawncodes for friendlies anywhere 😭 might be a good vid 😆
Don't tell anyone, but I used one of the admin mods to spawn in a few, purely for testing and research purposes of course 😆🍻

I have been raided by these guys several times and they will attack non stop in swarms like ants.
I'd love to experience a few raids. I'm on PS5 and I'm wondering if there's a setting that hasn't carried over. Still, I intend to keep playing until that happens 🍻

It shows up on the mod list on PS5. Not sure why it wouldn't be showing on xbox and I'm not seeing any mention of the issue on their discord. It's a weird one for sure 🤔

It's cross play so I'd imagine so. Check the mods list when you fire up the game and see if you can find it 🍻

Got attacked by npc, they came with tek gigas and must say it was interessting. 20 of my tames i hade out died very fast😂

They're too glitchy and run around mindlessly. The new NPC mod for ASE called Rise of NPCs is much better.

Yeah, unfortunately it hasn't been updated in a long time. The mod author has a new update in the works so hopefully it fixes a lot of the issues when it finally drops 🍻
@CapnMcRummy it was making my whole game sorta nonfunctional. It might be a single player issue
I dont like this mod at all... the "wild" npc are kiling dinos I want to tame and are even attacking me without reason when exploring

Perfectly understandable. If you ever find yourself giving it another go there is an ini setting (if you're on PC) that can set the wild NPC's to friendly. But if you're on console like me then sadly that option isn't currently available 🍻
this should just be in the base game. i dont play multiplayer so if my freinds arent on with me this game is very grindy and boring. having other "people" to interact with would be bad ass
It definitely feels fun to randomly encounter them for that very reason 🍻
I think this is why we’re getting something similar for Ark 2 it’s a great idea especially for a game that feels so lonely and dead without other people

No offense, but it’s not even close. Your mod has no animations or anything so they just T-pose and hover around while completely still including their faces, they can’t do anything or help with a base, and there’s nothing like building settlements or raiding. It also hasn’t been updated since January. I hope to see it improve but it is completely broken and pointless as is IMO. It is pretty funny tho lol

@ oh if it’s in ps5 it’ll be on Xbox then, can’t wait to try it out. Haven’t played ark in a while and my gf and I are tired of server hopping so we’re downloading a bunch for single player so npcs would be awesome!
