Regarding the preload (spring) adjustment, the technique that me and others use is a long sturdy screwdriver and a hammer. Lots of "taps" on the ring will allow you to fully adjust the coil compression. Yes, it does scratch the adjustment ring but that won't detract from your already scratched up V14 🙂
Marty, doesn't a coil over spanner wrench set work for you? They're fairly cheap and they work perfectly fine on my mountain bikes. (For the preload) never mind I just got mine and there's no way that wrench will fit in there.
I already made my peace with range after lots of videos saying 60km. Now you did 82! Very promising, can't wait to get mine 50s version from myewheel next week, v8f is screaming to retire after 7.6k.
It does have less range than the Patton. A friend has the V14, and he weighs around 60 kg. I am around 110 kg and my Patton has off-road 30% more battery than the V14. At 40 kmh and some off road, both wheels were at 50% battery.

I was into torque when the rs came out. Then I was into TOP SPEED when the master came out... now, after riding for a while, I realized that I'll never need to go over 65km/h and I prefer torque and battery life over speed. #Torque=fun
You know the tire plays a bigger role in the feeling, so 65 kmh feels different, i prefer a lynx over my master, but it has moded control screws on stanctions, or else it had a small ratle, . and it also is fast as shit, im going 83 on this wheel with 18% tiltback so its preety good

I went for the V14 for the torque and load carrying capacity, because I'm a big guy and I need it all and the V14 is the only one that gets me there. Another factor to consider for you lightweight "racing snakes". That said, I haven't taken delivery yet so I hope I will not be disappointed.
@@boulate Yes I have it, but haven't had a chance to properly try it out yet. I'm abvout 150Kg so I actually exceed the rating a bit, but I spoke with Inmotion about it and they just said "don't accelerate too hard and it'll be fine". The suspension does carry me without bottoming out and with a reasonable amount to spare. I will not be jumping or anything fancy so again I think that will be OK. You're only about 115 Kg which is well within spec. As I said, I've just gone around a rotary washing line a couple of times holding on to the line for bal;ance. Adam, thanks for the great first impression review, it seems that Inmotion have found their mojo with the V14 - tempting, very tempting. Regarding the stand - you could surely just chamfer/sand the sharp outer edge of the two stand ‘studs’ to help save your shins? 👍🏻🏴🖐🏻
Absolutely love your channel, thank you for the quality EUC content! Would you ever be willing to do a comparison with the latest wheels? Inmotion Adventure, Veteran Lynx, Begode Extreme, etc. Cheers!
As usual, top quality content. The kickstand on the Lynx is even more intrusive than the V14. I actually like the V14 charger because it is whisper quiet. What would be perfect is if it could switch between 3 and 6 amp charging with the fan working hard at 6 amps. Worth it over the Extreme? Yes.
@@gvarph7212 It is not whisper quiet as I first thought unfortunately. Now that the weather is warmer, I'm noticing the fan kicking in and it does make a noticeable fan noise. It is much quieter than the fan on the Lynx though.
Outside of max speed that thing is a very potent competitor to the lynx and is arguably the better overall Offroad wheel, especially if you like techncal trails
It’s very potent! For gnarly trails it loses though as the battery and pedals are lower. Much easier to fall, clip or not have enough traction with the 16 inch tire
Lynx really surprised me on black diamond mountain bike trails. I took myself in some spots where I just told myself I'm going to walk it and surprisingly I didn't have to!
@@Riceman-o1p it definitely is the GOAT....it's the wheel that dose everything good or great and has no real downsides. The good thing is that you can't really make something that is a meaningful upgrade to the lynx that leads to an incentive to focus more on the entry and midrange lvl wheels
Hey Adam! Part of the promise of this wheel was the swappable batteries. As you are an engineer, do you think you'll be experimenting with riding with fewer packs, or even seeing what it will take to custom fabricate our own form factors? For example, i love my v14 for daily commuting and for that i don't need much range. I would love to trade out some capacity for lighter weight and thinner form factor.
Hey there! I don’t think the FW will allow me to ride with a different battery pack configuration :/ I’d like to have that option you’re talking about but I don’t think it’s possible with InMotion’s strict battery-board configuration
Can you do a video of different tires and EUC walking up stairs for us city riders? My considerations is lifting the wheel up several flights of stairs vs walking or pushing them up since the wheels are getting heavier
This is the first inmotion wheel I would buy... I rode many and wondered why people bought them as the torgue was always meh... I like alot more than torque but this seems to have it. I prefer 20 inch for off-road and road so the lynx is very torquey and 20 inch so thats the reason I still havent bought an inmotion wheel. I am glad inmotion finally caught up and No the v13 was ideal for anything but road trips... Way to GO inmotion ... Now you need a proper competitor to the Lynx in a 20 inch Form Factor. Let the wheel go 55 mph too ;) (not that i go that fast but I like having the ability to) P.S> I do not like the sound when you land is that b/c something is lose or just the way all v14's sound... it is almost like you are bottoming out but I thought the progressive spring stops that.
I think the general rule for all things is that it should max out at double the working load. for example you purchase a climbing rope that has a max capacity of double what you actually want to load it with (your weight plus whatever extra gear). that way if you fall, it shouldnt break when it reaches full extension and stretches out. for power and torque on a EUC, you can get away with a much smaller margin of error in terms of acceleration, but I think braking distance is the most important factor where this rule comes into play. Conversely that's probably the factor that's given the least attention in any of the EUC videos. going fast is great until you have to stop fast. cars pulling out in front of motorcycles and bicycles is one of the major reasons for accidents on them. A person on an EUC has a much smaller visual profile than either of them, and drivers will see a person shape, and instinctively think "walking," they're not going to be expecting a person to be walking at 90 kph/56mph, so their brain is going to dismiss the EUC as "not dangerous" and focus on looking for cars. I wonder if wearing a helmet that looks like a monster's head would prevent that 🤔?
@@brightidea123 iF you are asking what the size of the battery is then it is a 2400watt hour battery pack. If you arent going fast then u get 45 -50 miles or 80 'ish km but much, much lower if you love accelerating.
@@sazzowl_gaming8203 about right :) although if the V11 works, many people like it. I won’t review the V11Y though because of the drumstick suspension and hyper complicated tire change
@mr_wrongway LMAO drumstick suspension, that is exactly what it is haha. Mine is 3 years old and the suspension leaks all the air out in about 2 weeks, so i understand the dislike for it tbh. It is still fun though
@@woohooivan got the battery replacement. High voltage error is still there. So wheel is still unusable. Apparently I'll have to wait another 4 months for control board replacement:(
some pretty bad rolling shutter on the shots of the display panels... are they flashing in that mode or is it steady on and it's just a refresh mismatch?
Cross over the straps, and consider making an extra hole front side, so you can fit them from low to upward where each button goes into the fixing point.
{tl;dr. Nerding out on design improvements.} Best used wheel of 2025-26. I can hardly wait!! The only thing that would get me to buy the V14 (new) would be if they replaced those stanchions with hydraulic shocks, making the v14 into a dual suspension system. ‘Berm mode’ appears to need a simple design update. The problem is that the cut-off angle measurement alone (a static metric) is insufficient for safe operations and needs to be supplemented with both accelerometer g-load calculation and rate of change of angular momentum (dynamic metrics), which would allow greater berm angles in proportion to the motion and momentum thus allow >90 degree angles or aerial inversions given the requisite parameters. This could also decrease the time the wheel actually takes to cut-off when its engaged in a spinning motion lost of control. {should be under a hundred lines of code because it’s just a legacy design oversight that needs upgrade for higher performance wheels}. A dynamic cut-off ‘Berm-angle’ calculation could also be used to keep the wheel spinning at a constant rate while jumping or de/accelerate the wheel if the landing spot is higher or lower than the takeoff speed (this calculation is no more difficult than ballistic trajectory calculations) and would allow landing with nearly perfectly matched wheel speed to ground speed. {Image not needing to keep pedals level while jumping.}
I’m still waiting for the Cannondale mono-shock design that allows full access for a tire change without needing to remove the wheel or shock. An Bose-styled electronic linear motor shock will eventually make it standard but that’s still about ten years away from being reality. That, and an Axial Flux motor would make EUCs unstoppable.
I have just received my V14. You mentioned removing the rear stand. How serious were you in contemplating that? It's a solid piece of plastic and appears to be a supporting link. I'm putting mine on for now, though the packs do feel very solid and strong without it. I don't want to do anything that could compromise the integrity of the unit as a whole, so I'll defer for now. I would appreciate a follow-up from you on that comment. Thank you.
Actually, I just answered my own question because in the box there are bumper guards if you do not install the stand. Although they are two-piece bumper guards, I can't figure out where the second one goes. There is no instruction manual, but I've already put on the stand and I'm happy with it that way.
Doubt it has more torque than the Lynx, also unfortunately the sliders are a 1:1 copy from Begode sliders but with a rubber wiper on each end added. Also regardless of IP rating the bearing protection isn't anything to write home about, friend already have bad bearings from riding when it was wet outside.
It says 2000Nm on the product page. Seems like thats a typo and they meant 200Nm? Thats not the highest in the market though; I doubt thats quite its ultimate peak? The 850N traction force also means it wouldnt quite be able to push you up a 50deg hill; so I guess that 200Nm is to be taken as a fairly sustained output, rather than a 10s peak or so? Either way looks like a solid wheel.
Hi Wrong Way. We're impressed by the V14 going up the 45 degree incline. Do these, in any version, make it up the 45 degree incline: Extreme, Patton, S22? Also, how do you feel about the low-end torque on the V14? Amazing videos.
Unfortunately, when you carefully read the conditions regarding the guarantee, water is a reason for exclusion at Inmotion, and any other gyrowheel manufacturer :/. Water damage is not taken into account in the guarantee. I really wish someone would prove me wrong but it's clearly stated in their own product usage :(
Every review of this thing, videos and chatrooms, its the same story. Gushing about how great it feels, great torque, super fun, easy to maintain, fast and water-resistant, just a blast, but LORD FORBID its not a Lynx 😂 A 16" tire vs a 20" is a pretty significant difference and I really don't think the two should be classed together.

I went for the V14 for the torque and load carrying capacity, because I'm a big guy and I need it all and the V14 is the only one that gets me there. Another factor to consider for you lightweight "racing snakes". That said, I haven't taken delivery yet so I hope I will not be disappointed.
I'm a big guy too (255lbs for 6.6 feet) ... And still hesitate : lynx, extrem, v14, S16 pro... Do you received it ?
@@boulate Yes I have it, but haven't had a chance to properly try it out yet. I'm abvout 150Kg so I actually exceed the rating a bit, but I spoke with Inmotion about it and they just said "don't accelerate too hard and it'll be fine". The suspension does carry me without bottoming out and with a reasonable amount to spare. I will not be jumping or anything fancy so again I think that will be OK. You're only about 115 Kg which is well within spec. As I said, I've just gone around a rotary washing line a couple of times holding on to the line for bal;ance. I have a week off next week and that's when I'll get to really try it for real.
Well, as normal, wrong way does it the Right way!!!!
I have the V14 so I know how great it is, but to hear it again such a reliable source is really satisfying..
😊😊😊💯💯💯💯👌👌👌👌👈👈👈👈👍👍👍👍👍love the ending tune quality!!!!!
You have the GB or the S and are you still enjoying it?
Yes.
Is it actually quiet? All the EUC chargers I've seen before were completely obnoxious
@@gvarph7212 It is not whisper quiet as I first thought unfortunately. Now that the weather is warmer, I'm noticing the fan kicking in and it does make a noticeable fan noise. It is much quieter than the fan on the Lynx though.
Very nice wheel 🔥 Banger review
Holy Shit I have a GREAT idea! Someone send me a V14 free of charge! Damn, I have the best ideas. 😊 Good video btw Mr Way 💪
What do you think is better - Patton or v14?
Patton doesn’t have a smart bms so it’s disqualified for me
@@mr_wrongway So the Extreme wins? =)
2:12 the Lynx wouldn't have scraped 🤷🏼♂️
Not
Outside of max speed that thing is a very potent competitor to the lynx and is arguably the better overall Offroad wheel, especially if you like techncal trails
Hey there! I don’t think the FW will allow me to ride with a different battery pack configuration :/ I’d like to have that option you’re talking about but I don’t think it’s possible with InMotion’s strict battery-board configuration
how is torque compared to patton ?
Yes please adam answer please
Can you do a video of different tires and EUC walking up stairs for us city riders? My considerations is lifting the wheel up several flights of stairs vs walking or pushing them up since the wheels are getting heavier
V12 pro is 20 lbs lighter. Is it worth considering it over the v14 b/c of that? Or is that nothing?
I think it doesn’t have a hollow motor so not worth considering
Salut Adam trop marrant d'attendre presque un bruit de motos au début c'est le pneu et le moteur qui font ça je pense 😜😁😋👶🛴🇨🇵🔥
Let the wheel go 55 mph too ;) (not that i go that fast but I like having the ability to)
P.S> I do not like the sound when you land is that b/c something is lose or just the way all v14's sound... it is almost like you are bottoming out but I thought the progressive spring stops that.
Battery life?
Just bought one should be here in a couple weeks. 😅 I can ride a regular unicycle so we will see what this is like.
Zbiera się jak ścigacz :D dźwięk robi niezły "gnój" :D pozdr !
Leci jak dzik po szyszkach :D
You urgently need a 360 camera and an invisible stick
I love your vids thanks so much for getting the v14 ❤❤❤
How's the torque vs a begode extreme? Is it equal or better?
Better than Begode Extreme Torque
@@mr_wrongwaydam I want one then
Heads up Inmotion. This guy is going to sell a lot of V14’s!
First like! Im really keen on this wheel, it seems like a super upgraded v11 and i love it
It’s on a totally different level!
A super upgrade is funny haha....they are not even in the same galaxy.
The difference probably bigger than if you switch from a V5F to a V11
@sazzowl_gaming8203 wow thats almost hard to believe considering how much i already enjoy my v11. Im so hyped for my eventual upgrade
They look a lil goofy but still gonna get one they're bad asf !! 🔥
Hey man great video! ... would this be good for a beginner like me? im gonna doing uber eats & want to use this.
Oh man, the "pooping dog statue" with flies all over it LMAO. Epic
It has a special place in my heart. There’s several dog statues scattered around Warsaw
making a compatatova which would be better? the Begode Extreme, the Veteran Patton or the Inmotion v14 50S???
Another awesome Inmotion wheel. As Inmotion V12HT user I am very interested in this wheel. But the price is just too much...
I went from the V 12 HT to a lynx. I would rather have my lynx than my car!
You got made skills. A video with you a chooch would be sick
thank you for this excellent video
My pleasure! :)
Z niecierpliwością czekam na testy s16 i s19 😁
Weird how different the prices are in Different markets. In USD a similarly specd begod is maybe $400 less. Can also get the v13 for effectivley $2850
Lynx or v14 for jumping?
For me it’s still Lynx
Got my wheel yesterday. Faulty battery pack out of box...v14 50s😢
Is it fixed?
@@woohooivan not yet
@@woohooivan got the battery replacement. High voltage error is still there. So wheel is still unusable. Apparently I'll have to wait another 4 months for control board replacement:(
@@woohooivan Inmotion informed me that they will work on software to resolve "high voltage" error issue. When it will happen I don't know...
@@edgarkazak5228 4 months!? They won’t even send you a new wheel to make things right?
My man goes to one Masters of Dirt event and now he's an adrenaline junkie.
I was already before but MOD did open me up a bit :D
Balls to the walls always Adam
I noticed that you stopped using an insta360 (since you can see the stick), what camera do you use now?
Most of the time I use the DJI Osmo Action 4. I also use the Insta360 One R every once in a while. My GoPro is retired
some pretty bad rolling shutter on the shots of the display panels... are they flashing in that mode or is it steady on and it's just a refresh mismatch?
Never seen you ripping a wheel like Chooch tech lmao
Should show me how to put on my Leatt shin-guards, mine just fall down my legs. (Suspenders?)
Keep practicing, I think you are getting it.
Cross over the straps, and consider making an extra hole front side, so you can fit them from low to upward where each button goes into the fixing point.
Try Nobleman. They are awesome and they never fall down and they have a sleek design, super comfortable too.
I’m curious. As you were going up the steps. Did you raise your left toe hook up for ease of getting in and out? Thanks. Cool video
{tl;dr. Nerding out on design improvements.}
Best used wheel of 2025-26. I can hardly wait!! The only thing that would get me to buy the V14 (new) would be if they replaced those stanchions with hydraulic shocks, making the v14 into a dual suspension system.
‘Berm mode’ appears to need a simple design update. The problem is that the cut-off angle measurement alone (a static metric) is insufficient for safe operations and needs to be supplemented with both accelerometer g-load calculation and rate of change of angular momentum (dynamic metrics), which would allow greater berm angles in proportion to the motion and momentum thus allow >90 degree angles or aerial inversions given the requisite parameters. This could also decrease the time the wheel actually takes to cut-off when its engaged in a spinning motion lost of control. {should be under a hundred lines of code because it’s just a legacy design oversight that needs upgrade for higher performance wheels}.
A dynamic cut-off ‘Berm-angle’ calculation could also be used to keep the wheel spinning at a constant rate while jumping or de/accelerate the wheel if the landing spot is higher or lower than the takeoff speed (this calculation is no more difficult than ballistic trajectory calculations) and would allow landing with nearly perfectly matched wheel speed to ground speed. {Image not needing to keep pedals level while jumping.}
Nice! 🤙🏽
No one going to mention the kid getting his butt kicked on the playground at 42:58 😅
holy shit, I didn't even notice that!
It was staged by Adam 😱
Kids going to grow up with respect. I c great things in his future.
V14 Ascender
Great name !!!
Nice Vid thx Adam 😅 BTW what bell helmet is that exactly? Thx!
Thanks! It’s a Bell Super DH
Unfortunately, when you carefully read the conditions regarding the guarantee, water is a reason for exclusion at Inmotion, and any other gyrowheel manufacturer :/.
Water damage is not taken into account in the guarantee.
I really wish someone would prove me wrong but it's clearly stated in their own product usage :(
from v8 now at v12 next is 14 when i can afford it lol
What’s the difference between batch 1 & 2 with the 50GB battery versions?
What are your settings on it and the only problem with the wheel is the range
How do you shred any terrain so easily?? I have the v14, but don't accelerate that fast, nore can I just jump in place. What are your tips?
What happened? Did the InMotion endorsement check arrive for everyone suddenly? 😂😂😂
Please bring it to me if one exists :D
Thank you!
just got this wheel after my v12 HT had a second battery failure.
You can't turn on kickstand v11 too. Always been annoyed by this.
Also the price difference
