Thanks Craig for the ride along. This ride is one I do every year. Last year I used it for the Motorized Bicycle Enthusiasts ice cream challenge. We stopped at the Dari for ice cream. We are looking forward to doing it again this year. My spouse and I used to go there for their all you can eat fried chicken. It was always very good. Here's a little story. We're sitting waiting for our food and this couple walks in and both were carrying a big tub of baby wipes. Guess they came prepared to put the hurt on some chicken. LOL.
I ride this trail all the time - it's only takes a few minutes on bike from my front door. It's a nice trail and Hebron is easy to get around in. There isn't a lot of traffic on the trail, so it's a great way to spend an hour or so.
@@Cynical_Zombie Hearts Salon has some good food. The local bike club (Treadhead Cycling) stopped there for dinner after a ride a few weeks ago - pretty good food. Dari for ice cream - always good, but cash only. Hazel Diner for those early morning rides. As you found out, Crandall's is easy to get to and a good choice. Hoop's is good, but I've never ridden there - it's too much of a PITA to ride 47, even for a few hundred feet.
Crandalls is a awesome place, great chicken. I found it during the covid years while exploring Illinois by car.
Good to hear! We will be checking it out for the first time in July. Thanks for watching! 😎🤘🏼

Awesome story! 😂🤣 What would you say if I said we should do this together as a dinner ride sometime this summer?
@@Cynical_Zombie I would say that sounds like a plan to me. 😎👍

Very nice! Let me know what the best restaurants in Hebron are. 😎🤘🏼

@ptraz76 Thank you!
Looks like McHenry County still has some rural areas left. It's not all just Chicago suburbia.
Yep, there’s lot of farm land in McHenry County still! And if you haven’t checked out the Prairie Trail in McHenry County, you definitely should! 😎🤘🏼
Cool video.
