Gustavo (nice reference to Breaking Bad), feel free to provide sample scenarios of people who lost money despite investing responsibly.
Crypto is like a reservoir for the excess money the federal bank produce, so as long as the fedral bank continues producing bank notes the will still go up until they crash. Assalamualaikum Brothers @The3muslims, this is all very interesting but you guys haven't address the fundamental question "is bitcoin halal or haram", or maybe I should be educated first about the nature of bitcoin being hahal or haram somewhere else, before continue here? #BringTheShiekhBack
I don't see any reason why bitcoin will be haram. I heard some sheiks saying bitcoin is haram. This makes me angry because they clearly don't know what they are talking about. The reason they give is that bitcoin is decentralized. Decentralized is good thing not bad. Gold is also decentralized. What I think is going on is this kind of sheiks are told to speak against bitcoin by their government or they made a mistake by repeating other sheiks words..
@@hassendelft3907 well that the thing brother, I was hopping to hear a discussion on the podcast about why is it halal why some thinks it haram? once that are clarify then we can discuss all the good things that comes with it. decentralized, future centric, all the good stuff. but until then, First, I have to understand why some of the ulama said its haram, and some said its halal.
@@AbboyTopan brother there is absolutely no reason why bitcoin will be haram. If you go back in time people were discussing cars are halal or haram.. by default everything is halal except when there is a good reason why it will be haram. Fiat money is actually haram because riba is fundamentally involved in fiat money. But because we have no choice it's halal. Like pork is fine to eat when the is no other food. Don't expected too much from sheiks from Arab countries because there is no freedom of speech.

@@hassendelft3907 "Everything is halal except that for which their is evidence from the Quran and Authentic Hadith". That is the usul (you were a little off). Also for OP, as the Sheikh said, he has videos up on his site about why bitcoin is permissable. Remember that his speciality, as he said, is in Islamic economics so a scholar who specializes in Hadith, or Jurisprudence (fiqh in general) can't refute him on economical matters. It has to be someone equally well versed in the fiqh of finance and economics (for the above mentioned they would have to get themselves acquainted with Islamic economics before endorsing a ruling). There also has to be a detailed explanation using the Quran and authentic Hadith as to why the proposed thing is haram. Both individual opinions and government stances mean very little if they aren't backed up with the Quran and Sunnah.

@rashid the arab 1. If I put money in and get electric digits back? 2. Say what you will, I have no idea who is controlling this thing. 3. It sets its own value? I'm not buying it. How does it go from $3-$18 or from 20K to 14K or from 90K to 45K? 4. Was mainly used for illegal activity because its untracable. 5. No electronics = no money Damaged or corrupted USB = no money... Sure you could argue "you can lose you wallet". I personally don't see it the same. 6. I believe it is involved in interest related transactions. Something about the transfer of money between two parties and then there is a trickle down which ends up as a bit coin... I'll be honest I don't fully understand every part of it since I didn't look way too deep into it due to things like the above factors. To me I would rather see money return to being based on gold, and not replace one corrupt style of money with another. Meaning even if one was to tell me the currency today is not based on gold but is based on the Petrol , Petro dollar so to speak. Or interest based inflation.. still I don't see how replacing it with Bitcoin helps bring money back to halal.
@rashid the arab not to mention that the advice that Bitcoin was going to make a lot of money was told to me by a good friend who was also part of the free mason group ,who was told by his friends in the group to buy! buy! buy! Bitcoin. Also recently my brother went and put so much money into another type of this alt-coin... I hope it doesn't disappear or get reduced to zero value. I don't know who is controlling this thing and why the free masons knew it was going to go up in value exponentially. On a funny note, I look at the names they sound like scams. Doge coin ie. dodgy coin. Ripple ie.rip all
@@HappyBloke81 My dear brothers, it shows that you didnt do your research properly. As answers on your question (and I am not here to convince habibi, I just want my brothers and sisters to make financial sound decisions). 1. Bitcoin should be compared to (digital) gold. If you buy gold from somewhere, then you put money in and you get some material (gold) back which we all agteed upon that it has value. Same as with Bitcoin. 2. Everyone controls bitcoin. That is the whole idea behind decentralized finance. The ledger is spread out on thousands of nodes, which makes it impossible to tamper with. 3. And value is set based on demand and supply. All other monetary instruments are regulated and under control of governments, therefore, if demand or supply is out of sync, then they step in (for instance in the supression of the silver price)
@@HappyBloke81 4. I didnt see teh rest of your questions. But first of all, transactions are traceable. It's just that you cant link transaction to a certain person. But you see all the transactions happening on the network. And regarding it being used for illegal activity. That isnt even an argument habibi. Money is used for bad things as well.
muslims need to understand how to spend money, like many buy insurance which is haram, waste it on pointless holidays where they do haram, and the biggest waste is subscription services
He is not really educated in finance. It doesnt seem like it anyway. Everything he said is basic info. And his argument for crypto being something, is that is work behind it and therefor it's worth something,. Cmon? So if I dig a hole and then fill it up again. Is it worth something, NO , but it is still work behind it. And whatsup with lookin at things and thinking how you can do something haram in a muslim way, just like he said. Either its haram or its halal. The value of cryptocurrency comes from you thinking you can sell it to a higher price than you bought it for. Its nothing else, so its all a speculation. Its a gamble. Thats not regulated. And we are destroying our world that allah gave us by making more of the cryptos ,all because of greed. Its so haram it can be!!!!
Finally someone thinks critically! (from the top tens of comments I have just gone through) Indeed, I agree with you, from someone who was involved in this and was on the verge of benefiting tens/hundred of thousands of dollars from cryptocurrency and then retracted with only my capital, and got rid of the increase Wa Alhumdulliah. To make thinks clear, almost everyone these day go into crypto for the "going to the moon" idea and hope for the tens of folds profit. Hiding behind words like "technology", "out-dated methods", "the future" to justify profiting from this. I am not giving Fatwah here, but if you would like to get involved in this, and you cares about you Imman, then be honest with yourself why you are going into this in the first place! There is the issues the brother here mentioned (suspicion of gambling, unuseful work and wast of energy), and also I would like to mention another important one, which is who is really benefiting from the animosity of bitcoin in the real words? Ofcourse, the scammers, organ dealers, weapon sellers and all nasty people on the dark web, as the bitcoin was originally used for that market before it get hyped up by the media. Think about putting your HALAL money as a fuel to this market. At the end of the day, the dark web dealers has the tens of thousands if not hundreds of bitcoins, especially those the once who were trading using it when it was less than a dollar, and those are now more than thrilled with the hype and the liquidity of the market, such that they can wash their black (haram) money. Even if everyone is doing it, and even if the alternative isn't 199% halal, this doesn't make cryptocurrency in THE CURRENT FORM right or halal. We don't like the control of governments, but keep in mind that we share some interests, with respect to preventing drugs dealing, tracking scammers and preventing other haram stuff to great extent. There is more aspects to talk about, but I guess if someone is looking for the truth, these should be enough. Remember always, your Risq (sustenance, money to get) is already written by Allah, and you won't die until you get it all (as our profit said PBUH), so as believer, why you bother involving in shady/grey area if the first place, knowing that "who ever leaves something for Allah, Allah will compensate him for better of what he left".
Btw, my involvement in this is not only by trading, but the whole technology around it is what we study and research at our lab in university. I am one of the developers of blockchain-based decentralised applications, and currently working on several project in this field, Alhumdulliah. The technology itself is great! Don't confuse it with one of its applications, i.e. cryptocurrency, and its current state.
Both of you don't sound knowledgeable, and went into it just to make a quick buck (i.e. gambling). The Sheikh explained the fundamentals of how the current monetary system works and how/why Bitcoin is different. You couldn't even discern the difference in his explanation about Bitcoin vs other crypto, and why Bitcoin is more closely aligned to Islamic Economics - which sounds like it was either too deep for you, or you didn't listen to it fully.

It is not correct that Islam is decentralised. It is how we live it today but thats not the way is meant to be. We have in Islam the concepts of caliphate and imamate. In Islam vigilance and accountability are essential mechanisms to ensure justice and the preservation of the religion. So if his premises are wrong....
I've made more money on stocks than crypto (actually lost money on crypto because crypto is basically being held by whales) and invested the money I made in property. The housing market is something you know won't pop without governments getting involved.
Don't trade crypto you will loose because the whales manipulate the market. If you like crypto just hodl. I personally never sell with loss

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaat. Thank you for the wonderful presentation. I'm a Muslim revert and wish to invest in halal cryptocurrency but I'm a newbie in crypto. How can I start to learn on how to invest in this business?
I have an important question guys
Is tokenomics halal?
Tokenomics for me is kind of like dividend gains if you’re into stocks - but the crypto version. I don’t see anything personally wrong with it but I’m not a scholar.

No Shitcoin!!

As-salamu alaykum. I'd like to know which books you'd recommend to laymen like us to do Halal business in this era.
Start with Cryptos for Dummies (no joke - its really a very good book!).

i think bitcoin is too risky and too good to be true, no one talks about the people who lose thousands
That's because they buy high and panic sell low. If you just hold onto BTC you will never lose in the long run.
I guess OP posted around July time, when BTC was around $30k. Anybody who bought before the year 2020 and not sold would have been in profit. For those who bought in 2021, many of those would now be in profit as long as they held.
Gustavo (nice reference to Breaking Bad), feel free to provide sample scenarios of people who lost money despite investing responsibly.
Crypto is like a reservoir for the excess money the federal bank produce, so as long as the fedral bank continues producing bank notes the will still go up until they crash.
Now non western country try to ban mining to in hope they don't help with the dollar related inflation because of the federal bank policies.

Just take ur time to watch it, maybe in the weekend

@@kamalahmed5057 uh, may Allah give u time, so basically, what was said in the video is that Bitcoin can be very practical and that we should invest in it, everything has its advantages and disadvantages, but having bitcoins, is clearly good for ur future and u could profit from it very much, if u believe in a future were peopme wont return back to swords and arrows, probably investing in bitcoin could be the best thing u ever do, so it is halal of course, there are also other cryptocurrencies, but the other one are not important, they are called shitcoins. If you wish to delve deeper into the reality of modern monetary economics, I would highly recommend inviting shiekh Imran Hosein specifically for this topic.
I’d advise watching one way to paradise video on him
@@العقيلي-ف7و Yes i know his stance on particular subjects are not 'mainstream' But you cant argue with his understanding of modern monetary economics.
@@hassendelft3907 Thank you brother, I'm literally watching Sheikh's RUclips Videos right now.. try to understand and learn..
Interesting stuff.. Alhamdulillah jazakallah khairan.. and may Allah grand us more knowledge.

I was against Bitcoin when it was $3 and im against Bitcoin today. The explanation doesn't work for me.
@rashid the arab
5. No electronics = no money
Damaged or corrupted USB = no money...
Doge coin ie. dodgy coin.
Ripple ie.rip all
@rashid the arab Amin, may Allah reward you . In Sha Allah. Thank you.
But we are all earning more from being overworked lmao. It's a crazy pointless game when we chase materislm solely
(from the top tens of comments I have just gone through)
Indeed, I agree with you, from someone who was involved in this and was on the verge of benefiting tens/hundred of thousands of dollars from cryptocurrency and then retracted with only my capital, and got rid of the increase Wa Alhumdulliah.
@@curiouscore18 exactly, they are projecting, they can also see themselves gambling with it, when in reality there is a growing movement to build an alternative money system using bitcoin.
From my understanding, staking is more or less akin to owning dividend paying stocks. Wallahu A'lam
