- I recently discovered the power of minecart contraptions in Minecraft Create Mod! So, I decided to utilise this to it's full potential and build a giant moving factory/base. I filled it to the brim with machinery, useful stuff like a bedroom, crafting, storage and of course power for the machines!

If you did not already know you can put super glue in your off hand to glue the blocks you placed
You may be able to turn it into 3 stackable contraptions.
Clear all the superglue except the top floor and add a block, rail, minecart, & contraption behind the stairs 2 below the 2nd floor ceiling, pick that up. Super glue the second floor, add another block, rail, minecart, & contraption below the 1st floor ceiling and pick that up. Try supergluing the rest and picking up from the original minecart location.
Hoping that dividing it this way stops you from hitting the contraption block limit, as I've seen some huge mining machines before and suspect you are just a smidge over the limit at the moment. Maybe you could split it into 2 parts, floors 2 and 3 with floor 1 and wheel base.
OR a bit of a rethink with the multiple contraption solution considered beforehand, for example a power contraption, storage contraption, a sorting contraption, multiple modular machining contraptions, and a mining contraption. Setting standard locations for interfaces between the contraptions to move items in or out and to provide or pass power between themselves so a single toolbox could hold all these variations allowing you to have, make or collect any item where ever you are.
I imagine it like this... out exploring thousands of blocks away from base with your contraption toolbox and want to make train tracks back...
Drop the storage contraption to get started with what parts you have. Drop the tunnel bore contraption pointed back to base, fill it and start it up. Drop the sorter contraption onto the storage contraption interface and the train machining contraption onto the sorter. Drop and ride the mining contraption to collect ore, pick it up and interface it onto the train machining contraption to dump the ore and start making new rails which will be sorted and sent to the storage contraption. Etc...
When is the hardcore series coming back
You can add some copycat on the train station ground to create some perspectives cool effects (or anywhere else btw)

A setting or two that has limits removed, can result in the character/world crashing in older versions. So there might be a higher limit but could possibly become unsafe.

You should make a crane near the entrance of the mines with a minecart going up and down the staircase so it looks like those people down in the mine sending stuff up
You could also just have it place rail as a self propelled contraption. It would be pretty awesome to see it drive around
If you go in the create config there if you dig around a little you can change the max contraption block size
One mod that is one of the best (in my opinion) is framed blocks, it is just like the copycat panels, but with so many different blocks. I think you should look into that,

I love what you’ve been using for music. Used to watch your builds and returned to you with my latest Minecraft binge! I know you’re partial to RS music which is of course goated. But the things I’ve heard lately from the banjo games and Diddy Kong fit perfectly with this series. Just bangers.

One solution you could do for your create contraption is to separate it into smaller contraptions. For instance, you place the first minecart which consists of the wheels and the first floor, then you place the second minecart. On top of that, which has the rest of the floors. It would be a little inconvenient but it would allow you to use the whole thing. Also, if you really want to get fancy you can make the wheel spin by making them windmills using wool blocks. Just add Framed Blocks for all those details, it's not a big mod and is pretty much essential for building in modded I think
Be careful though, they are very resource heavy in terms of computer resources, they've crashed my computer before (granted it isn't the greatest.

Using Mechanical Rollers in front of a contraption and running it along your rails will make filling blocks waaaay easier. Cheers.

XD, great job on the build.
You will not be able to increase the size of the contraption any bigger. This is a limitation within coding as all block info for the contraption is stored in that one contraption (its why it lags your game). So the best you can do is increase the max limit of a contraption size which you have already done.
There´s not much you can do so moving base will not move 😢

About your crane issues :
Re-sending a redstone signal into your sequenced gearshift won't reset it if it's already executing actions. Use a "wait for new redstone pulse" instruction line.
It could look like this :
"Turn 135° Forward
Wait for new redstone pulse (here you detect it's executing 2nd instruction, and you send it a new redstone pulse and make sure it's not already powered)
Turn 135° Backwards"
You detect it's stopped, and you power it to re-launch it, once again making sure it's not already powered.

Only a minute and a half into the video so my opinions may change, but for now I keep thinking about mortal engines.
I like the idea of a wagon, and I would REALLY like to know what you plan to haul it with.

substitute the wall of the train by copycat panels to make slim and dont get hit by him when closer to the rails
You should have put superglue on the off hand when building it will automatically apply glue on every block you place 😉

I think you can add andesite casing onto conveyor belts, it makes them look nice. If you click onto the conveyor belts with andesite casing, it will work

You could add a giant crane off the side of the movable base! And maybe a couple cogs too... Just to decorate it a bit better

Unfortently for your contraption you can't do all that much with it, once create offroad comes out you can make it a fully working machine like you expect. for now, you could probably turn it into a train with phantom tracks but machinery doesn't work on trains... *Yet*
The Create Contrapstions are part of the physic mod group, they are planning on updating everything with areo to allow fullying moving bases, with machinery!
Since you have the diving suit you can build some underwater base/factory etc.

Bro it’s soo crazy because recently I started getting interested in the Create mod because of Dawncraft. It’s soo wild how I’ve been LIGIT seeing this mod for a few years now and I was just way to afraid to mess with it because it’s not vanilla and it’s also soo much to learn. But now that you’re messing around with it I might also.

Add create aeronautics when it’s out and use that for a flying base. Everything will work inside it thanks to it being built on create simulated.
Drivetrain is the main Shaft and the other things are called axles. btw you can hold glue in your offhand and it will glue blocks you place together

You should ad two spouts, one for lava and one for water. Just so you dont have to swtich everytime. You could also ad some tanks for lava and water, so you dont have to carry an army of buckets
this thing is movable , but you can make it moving by itself . just place it on cart with furnace and use arm thing to place rails and rail destroyer to remove rais behind . (and you can also place cart into the base , just make blocks auto placing in front)

This may seem tedious, but since you can go underwater now, it would be cool to have an underwater factory or building of some sort

when you do pick up the base (after changing the config), the liquid source blocks will stay behind.. you can have water/lava move with it is in buckets inside dispensers

A building big enough to fit it, and it could even refill any of the storages on the contraption

You could add a power generator onto the mobile factory to make passive stress (probable a lv.3-4 tho, due to space) Or just put it on the roof top of your mobile factory to make a lv.9

PLEASE!!!!! Add a specific pet for every build you have. Like you have a horse for your house, maybe a cat in the alley of the factories, a dog in the wagon, axolots or dolphins in the waters, ect. (pets match the aesthetic of the builds)

Hey I have been trying out the create mod and found out that if you put a bell on a train it actually rings along with the whistle, so you should try putting one on yours

To my knowledge you cant change the maximum limit for picking up a contraption because there would be too much data for the game to handle and you would get kicked from the world
