Got sony ZV-E10 that was "used" for around $400. The previous owner hadn't taken many pictures with it. If any. I know it doesn't have viewfinder and stuff but im more of a video focused person anyway. I think it was the best deal ive ever done
@@kraigpruett yeah thanks! I was a bit shocked when i actually got the camera because part of me didn't expect it to turn up. But i guess when you're on a budget you have to take risks
Just picked up a Nex-6 body and separately a PZ 16-50 lens. Almost got the 5T cuz I actually liked the idea of doing NFC transters but the 6 wasn't too much more. I didn't time the market as you mention in other videos cuz I really wanted to get hands on!
I have the Sony A7III which made me extremely happy to see you highlight it at the end so thank you! I was primarily looking for a cheap option for my wife as she's selling her old Cannon SL2 to get a Sony body so we can share lenses and split the price to buy new lenses so this video has been great!! Thank you!
@@kraigpruett that’s awesome! I’m fairly new to the world of photo and video, but I would love to eventually get into some music gigs such as that! Do you have any advice on how to pursue that avenue? Thanks!
Just remember shutter count, you may just have to replace the shutter. It could happen now, in a year, or a while. Your new to you used camera may have already had the shutter replaced. I hear for sony's you usually have to send it to sony in America, some repair shops won't do it for sony, but that is what I've heard. I was watching so many videos on "Sony a6000 in 2024" etc. Not a single content creator mentioned shutter count. I went out and bought the Sony a6000, the physical condition looked pretty mint, but after 20 shutter releases, the screen showed "camera error: turn off camera then back on" but really you have to take out the battery for the error screen to go away. Anyways, I got my money back thankfully. I came from a Canon apsc dslr. Did not know or even think that shutter count is a thing or a wear and tear thing. For the amount that the new shutter and labor, I would might as well just got a brand new camera. I payed 500usd for the body and kit lens. Then plus new shutter. I could get an a6700 for a few hundred more.. Keh, nor mbp show shutter count in the description, or specs. So be cautious of shutter count and issues when taking the used camera route. I'll buy used electronic lenses all day, but I'd think twice about a used camera body now. Ps. You wont find an a6000 or nex for less than 400 with a kit lens. $250 in todays market will be a "condition: bargain". Which is really just a parts camera.
Orginally was going to get a A5100, but went with a A6400 as my patents said you need new cameras as they don't trust used cameras for some reason, Im using the Sony zeiss 85mm f/1.4 with it, love it overall
Got a used A6000 body with 14k fotos taken for 200€. Just need a lens, probably gonna search for a kit lens for around 50 bucks as I‘m probably only gonna use this cam as a webcam and I‘ll get a much better video quality than any webcam in this price range. So I‘m very, very looking forward to it.
What do you think of the Sony a5000 if it can be gotten for a good deal? (~$110 with kit lens) This would be as a complement to an a7II, to have a smaller "pocketable" camera to carry around everywhere. Would you choose that over a more expensive Nex-5R or a5100?
That’s a great deal for the A5000. There are some problems with it that I dont love but it is pretty solid. I have a more in depth review coming out soon about it!
Can you please make a video comparing modern day flagships vs nex camera i really want to see how a old dedicated camera stands in compared to modern smartphone with computional photography ❤
Hi man, it is still an outstanding camera. If I had to pick the top 2 for photography under $250, I need to recommend cameras with a viewfinder. But rest easy, that camera takes the exact same photo quality as the A6000, so the sensor of the A5100 technically makes the sub $500 list. It is just that the A6000 has the viewfinder which is better for most photographers. You made a great buy with the A5100!
Main reason is no viewfinder. I love the ZV-E10 and I have included It in many lists for video and just top overall value, but if you want a camera to take photos I would prefer having a viewfinder

A bit small, but I would consider the a5100 as well. I use it when I don't want to draw too much attention. Great video, by the way! 😊
That camera made my top for video list!!

i got sony 6300 with sigma 16mm i never regret . i also use sony nex 5r for casual daily .
I'm almost positive I've seen you behind the camera at a 116 Concert haha. Great content brother!
That is a very high probability!! I have shot a lot of shows for Andy, Lecrae, and the rest of Reach!

excellent video, but which is the best for Sports Video?
On this list I would go for the A7iii or A7Rii, or A6400. I will see if I can make a dedicated video about this exact circumstance.
Thx for the list

Can you make a video for the best sony cameras in style of cinemetography.
Did you get your hands btw on the alpha 9 III?
That would be a fun video. And no I didn't to unfortunately... I am too small for Sony to send cameras to lol.
can you make a video guiding us how to properly clean our camera sensor? i always wanted to clean my sensor but im afraid i will ruin my sensor 😢
That is a great idea!

what happened to a5100?! I got the a5100 because of your last round up :(

Why you didn't include ZV-E10? It has cool screen and better autofocus than A6400?

this picture were edited or raw?
So what would you recommend for a beginner photographer? I mean it doesn’t even have to include these.
You think he's just going to take the time to write a response and you talk like that?

Thanks so much for tuning in!
I bought a Nex-7 from a friend but can't find the hotshoe here in Japan! Anyone knows one that fits that I can find in Aliexpress?
