Love it! Im glad to watch this all thru the way and I respect journalist for covering deep insides. Thank you for what you do Maria ressa and to your colleagues as well.
I was really impressed by Pia in the documentary as well as the other young reporters featured. I have hope for the future.
MR is amazing.
A truly amazing documentary!
your wacked or apart of the global elite
Maria Ressa- you inspire us to fight the good fight. We are listening. Your courage does not only impact the Philippines but also the other parts of the world (ie US) where democracy has been trampled over.
AMAZING WOMEN!!! NEED TO BE HEARD , NOT ONLY JOURNALISM, ALSO BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS!!!
Maria is so well spoken, better than 99.9% of us. Her thoughts translate to words and come out crystal clear and there is no hesitation, no obfuscation at all. It is refreshing.
I am reminded of the last verse in Dylan's song A Hard Rain Is Gonna Fall:
And what'll you do now, my blue-eyed son?
And what'll you do now, my darling young one?
I'm a-goin' back out 'fore the rain starts a-fallin'
I'll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest
Where the people are many and their hands are all empty
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters
Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison
And the executioner's face is always well hidden
Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten
Where black is the color, where none is the number
And I'll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it
And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it
Then I'll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin'
But I'll know my song well before I start singin'
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard
It's a hard rain's a-gonna fall
I’m sorry but to me Maria resa only speaks. I don’t see the wisdom. Everything is a product of her fantasy. A conspiracy theorist
Filipinos should be proud of Maria. She's intelligent, well-spoken, and fighting for people's rights and democracy.
No one thinks of themselves as stupid but we all are.
@Lewis Pusey Umm...no.
Keep fighting the good fight, Ms Ressa. ✊
Maria I'm praying for you and your family! I wanted so bad to hold you hostage here in the STATES, BUT if you did that they would WIN! WHEN YOU go-to court it's a slogan in back of the Judge that sàys In GOD WE TRUST! HOPEFULLY THEY'LL Find durte for lying on reports and any other crimes he has done the poor has suffered
The documentary wasn't widely promoted or shared in the Philippines which is a bummer. I've been sharing it to my social media accounts but it's still different if large media companies will share it. I've messaged some of the media companies but no response from them. YT algorithm should work on recommendation in the Philippines so that it'll reach a lot of people. Fake news here is very rampant that it's scary.
Um.... Where is the movie?
you still need to figure out the difference between democracy and a republic
She is fighting an imaginary battle. She is as free as everyone else to criticize the government.
She has 11 cases all government-sponsored. What imaginary battle are you talking about?
@@ayo6510 if only she know how to pay taxes like us ordinary citizens.
@@ayo6510 but are the cases due to anything she wrote against the government?
@@ekisadventures8179 no, its not but it is politically motivated. After Duterte banned Rappler reporters in the Malacañang Press Corps, the attacks began. Duterte was friendly with Rappler before running for President until the first year of his presidency. He even granted at least two meetings with Maria Ressa. But it all changed when Ressa and Rappler wrote about Duterte's Troll Farms and Drug war.
@@ekisadventures8179 Ressa payes her taxes. She is also a Filipino citizen like us.

WE NOW OFFICIALLY LIVE IN A BANANA REPUBLIC
Are you from the Philippines? Your country is far from being a banana republic. I can’t even believe it’s a developing country, the cities are so modern.
@@nmbnmbnmb IT'S a developing country..
@@nmbnmbnmb and read his name he ain't from the Philippines lol
@@IsidroEstranghero I know he’s white. He said he lives in a banana republic so I asked if he’s from the Philippines, not whether his ethnicity is Filipino. There are white people in the Philippines, right?
@@nmbnmbnmb instead of asking him...why not check his channel..a glimpse of it already shows he isn't living here...
also it's prolly a sarcasm quote.
Yes that's right. It was just a story of Rappler and not of the Filipinos..
91% of the filipino approve of Duterte that's all matter in that country
Then your country deserves its downfall. You’d have no one to blame but yourselves. Hopefully, the next generations produce wiser voters.
@@nmbnmbnmb downfall?, Blame our selves ? ,For what?, Almost all journalists and the media are one sided ,and it's clear that Philippines could be a mess if Robredo or Aquinos are still in ruled,
@Giaro Jaze Do you know what rich nations have in common? Educated voters. They’re hard to come by in countries like the Philippines but just check out whom the highly educated are voting for and go with that. Trust in their wisdom and you’ll see progress.
Also, I wouldn’t trust the opinion of a blind fanatic like this Jayr who thinks the only thing that matters in a struggling starving country is the undying support of the people for a selfish violent president.
The Philippines has rejected liberalism. Let them be.
“Let them be” in this case means “let people suffer”.
It’s the current administration that rejects liberalism, not the people.
Aman "it is not my job to do research" pour. Seriously. She said that. Look it up.
Stop the genocide in Tigrai intentionally deliberate by Ethiopia government!!!
We need to protect Julian Assange as well. He needs to be in all these discussions. We have to protect them all. Philippines is going through difficult times but if we let one fall, they will all fall.
What do you mean difficult?
It’s funny how it’s one sided always!
Everyone has their own agenda including these reporters. Nobody and I mean nobody is unbiased. Especially individuals who tell you they are unbiased.
Bias I can deal with. Liars are the ones that infuriate me...and right-wingers thrive on lies.
Maria is so much more eloquent than Amanpour
No but they both are
a one sided documentary..
Evil media

Gross!!

Thank you for your vital input, Cletus.
What kind of a bull crap is this
More like "a thousand lies" 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry but they don’t hand out Nobel Peace prizes without knowing the FACTS. I don’t know where you get your information from but misinformation is a dangerous thing.
I totally agree with you
A Nobel will never be given to someone who lies. Some Nobel Prize laureates include Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Martin Luther King, and the Dalai Lama. Nobel Peace specifically signifies good moral values, selflessness, and honesty.
A Thousand Cuts of FACT to be precise. And then, they arrange them according to their twisted mind. Just by removing the FACT from the title says it all about them, totally hideous.
It bears repeating: disinformation is dangerous.
Maria ressa is not truthful a liar
Frontline has been making amazing documentaries for many years and telling stories that you don't hear on the bigger networks but Christiane is just another liberal journalist who's main job is to complain about Trump. She needs to stick to her Amanpour and Co.
Do you actually know what “liberal” means?
Lmao really digging to the bottom of the sh.t pail now!!
Thanks for your “insight”, sport.
@@SuperTonyony your welcome tiger!!

You’re repulsive.
she's a proven liar
Amanpour is a right-wing DINO. Do we need this? Really?
Right wing???? I wish
Nonsense. She’s not stupid
