I was in an F1 ~ scared to death. I can’t even imagine anything more. It did over $20,000.00 damage~to structures ~ more to clean up. That’s an F1. Unimaginable ~ a bigger one. God Bless everyone that has experienced a tornado of any size.
Pro Tips:
Keep a few microfiber cloths in your vehicle. Use the cloth to clean your wiper blades before and after every chase! Buy a quality windshield washer fluid and keep your reservoir filled up! Spray the cleaner on the wiper blades to keep them lubricated. | After chasing all day, it's good practice to check your vehicle's oil level before starting it the following morning, it'll show the truest reading. You don't wanna blow the engine running it without oil and be stuck out in the middle of nowhere!
If you need to check your oil everyday that vehicle shouldn’t be on the road, and unless you have deep pockets buying premium washer fluid is a waste unless you dealing with moist to freezing winter weather and a lot of bugs in the warmer time of year.
@@juniorjuss4543brand new cars are burning oil these days dont check your oil level wait for the motor to seize up way easier than checkn the oil bahahahahah
@@Norwisco you must drive some overpriced junk then,I’m not now nor have I ever had that problem.
@juniorjuss4543 it is likely you are not traveling 700km a day to chase a storm. Some serious miles can be had each day. In this instance Reed's vehicle's engine gave out. I'm wondering if it were the oil 🛢 🤔 😅
@@marleymcleay9228 I do drive that far and more everyday,I’m out here 24/7, are you?
I love the fact reed stays happy even when dumb stuff happens to him every single time
You caught some amazing footage
So glad the trailer music was only in the intro. You totally get it😃🔥
Thank you for not screaming and cussing. I subscribed.
Lol when they get excited they get EXCITED i was like how is he soo calm ....Pro Mode Reeds yelling is always funny tho
Thank you for the support! I enjoy taking it all in versus hearing myself talk, lol 😂
Wow, I loved your framing throughout. The "letting the picture tell the story" in silence is a nice switchup from the other yt creators.
Glad you enjoyed it!
it's nice hearing a storm.chaser talking in a clam way. No shouting or cussing.thank you.
Watched this on my big screen TV. What can I say? Wow!!!! Incredible video!! After watching a storm chaser last night, with such blurry vide, this is a delight!! That first storm looks like a big ole space ship!!! But beautiful cinematography!! I’m just amazed at the beauty of the landscapes, and of the incredible beauty of the storms. Thankyou!!! God bless you and stay safe!
You were really stuck. Reed ran his car until it died. He had some some video of all the chasers that gathered at that gate. Quite the video of that tornado. Good work.
So often I hear storm chasers yelling "violent tornado!" And I'd think--like there's ever a PEACEFUL tornado. But I almost felt like this one...was. One unnerving thing, though, is if I watched at higher speed, it appears to do a lot of wobbling and direction-changing--even back-tracking. Especially around 30 or so. Which made me wonder about how "safe" any position near a tornado really is.
We had a tornado warning very near home in cen tex a few weeks ago, the rotation was about 15-20 miles north of us and going well north east. Almost always that means we were clear. But all the sudden that thing literally teleported directly on top of us. Like it went from defined rotation going nrth east, to nothing, to bam, tight rotation 15 miles directly south. All within a few mins, maybe a radar scan update. I think theyd say its 2 dif rotations but it was like the rotation transferred unpredictably and quickly. Looked just like the storms n how they move when they seem to burn thru the atmosphere like fire, quickly building and moving around randomly
@0ptimal Wow. I wonder if that was what I've heard called a "hand-off". One tornado dissipates, but another one forms shortly after within the same supercell.
The colors of the storms, plus the red and yellow bluffs, were especially beautiful. I wish I had the $ to purchase a still of it.
Best tornado channel! Thank you for all you do. Be safe and Godspeed.
An Arizonan glad to be in AZ, 7,300 ft elevation.
It was absolutely breath-taking to see in real time! I really wish cameras could do justice for the real life views! I appreciate your kind words and support! You stay safe out in the AZ heat, too!
@@TornadoWarned
Thank you, but there's not much heat at 7,300 ft. elevation. 😁 😊
all of you storm chasers are amazing at what you do just be safe and Never stop chasing
Beautiful video. Did we just get a sense of how occlusion works? All of a sudden the sky shines through and the Tornadoes life span is shown.
Awesome footage and I very much liked your keeping quiet vs yelling as some chasers do. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed 😀
At the end I can hear Reed in the background talking about his engine. lol
What an incredible storm😮
Great video as always, Ben. You deserve way more views & subs. Love your videos❤
Thank you so much! That means a lot!
Incredibly photogenic tornado.
Glorious lighting in some of the shots.
The tornadoes would have been an unbelievable case study if we had DOW associated with this event, but I thoroughly enjoy open field chases as hit back more to home than you feel; this texas panhandle, SW Oklahoma has been insane this year to name a few - Hollister tornado, El Dorado and now this family of tornadoes; its been distribution-wise very active in certain spots, including even SW texas out there there's been some crazy chases such as Robert Lee tornado, Pecos valley tornadoes, Midland tornadoes, and even in western Iowa; we really are already looking into a historic season, but I'm glad your here for the chases to show us the amazing but extreme of mother nature @TornadoWarned
Yes, I enjoy nice open field chasing too! I never enjoy a chase that involves tornadoes impacting peoples houses/property like has occurred throughout NE/IA this year! The Robert Lee and Pecos Valley tornadoes were pretty cool too! I was guiding for a tour during those days so look out for that video eventually!
Great videography, loved it. I subscribed 😊
I Had no idea the Texas Panhandle was Beautiful ❤ Never been up there. I live in Temple
Despite getting stuck, this was a great chase day! Well done.
Yes! Thank you!
Beautiful but scary looks like a huge alien ship.
👵WOW !!! That light colored coral w/the dark cloud looming behind it would have beena winner. . .!!! Thankyou 4 posting, it was awesome. . 🤗❤️🙏
Amazing coverage..I don't know..poltergeist? Why does it look alive?
Are tornados actually growing due to living organism in the atmosphere they are occupied with?
This sounds serious careful❤
amazing storm ben, Good video
When will you upload the videos of Hurricanes Ian, Laura, Delta and Isaias to RUclips
This is a great question! I have more than half of Ian done, but I haven't been home for more than 2 days at a time since April. I'm hoping for a break in July to catch up on video editing!
@@TornadoWarned Enjoy your holidays Benn 👍
Thank you very much...
Great video!!
Feel so small or tiny next to these skies!!
36:10 You know what that tornado reminds me of….your coffee cup turned upside down with your coffee being poured out. Only for a minute or so does is look like that 😂
Wowsers! Those are some scary clouds
So, the roar was like a passenger tour train instead of a freight train 🚂?
Great chasing. Excellent Capture. Awesome. :)
Getting these views is true dedication to a purpose!
Oh my God that is frightening
That is so cool
Be careful out there
Quakes are few and far between …Tornados go on and on, year after year after year
8:16 poor tree out there all alone.
Is there not storm chasing (or more broadly road safety) etiquette that applies to the following time stamp? 26:55
I looks as though he/she has simply parked their car in the middle of the road, oblivious to the danger they're putting both themselves & others in.
Why is it that most chasers don't report tornados to authorities to warn others??
They do. I've heard them call several times, or tell someone else to call for the. If they're busy. This video is clips put together. He may have called, but cut it out. Or perhaps the NWS already knew about it.
@MarianneWilliams-ht8wu ^ This, there was already a confirmed tornado warning issued by the NWS and the local FD was blocking roads (as seen in the video).
@TornadoWarned yep, some people are so eager to assume the worst in people. It's sad.
17:46 Absolutely Gorgeous! Wow
Reed who?😆😆
I agree violent tornado....why does any one scream that. Obviously tornadoes are violent. And all the hysteria going on in there car is so very disrespectful when people are loosing there homes and belongings and sometimes there very lifes. If you can't be a professional at least don't post your videos on line. Put yourself in there shoes and feel there losses. I understand that tornadoes are exciting to some, but tornado watching was and IS to watch for tornadoes and WARN the public. Don't disrespect professional watchers or those who are in the line of the storm. What if it were your family, how would you honestly feel. Be safe
Is this comment correct for this video?
The reason Reed screams with adrenaline is because when there is a tornado his first thought is to get in front of it and intercept it (strength depending). Most others don't actually intend to do that. It's the difference of fighting in the UFC or just going to spectate.
Hahahaha all that for what?
