    quick note

The 70a o-ring makes the spacebar pop nicely, though i feel like 50a alphas are a bit nicer. Nice board

    👀👍!
i still cannot wrap my head around this keyboard being $290 and sounding this good. This just might win the Keyboard Of The Year Award for me ngl. What mount out of these 3 did you like the most?

50a o ring wins for this one, but can't go wrong with the top mount either. 70a is a bit too aggressive

Very hollow tbh, sounds like the Browns weren't lubed, which I imagine is the reason why. Cherry switches just usually have leaf ping which is why a lot of people lube on or behind the leaf, sometimes both to try and mitigate that a bit. I can tell here the overall tone of the board with this plate and the switches is good, but definitely feels like either the batch of Browns wasn't the best, or he just didn't want to lube them, which is fair, though I personally err on the side of lubing my Browns.

Holy shit, this sounds really good actually. I'm confused, did you do something differently compared to last time? The MX Browns on CF top-mounted was very different-sounding in that video. I think the top-mount sounds pretty fantastic here, but there is a little airiness you can hear on certain sides of some mods that isn't really as apparent with the 70a durometer ring. The spacebar tone is a bit brighter but thinner. Both are very very good though. Would be interesting to see a Viton ring if those can even be found in the right size.

ah, i have a 90a viton o ring i could have maybe tried, but it would most likely be too much stiffness for an already stiff board.
i do agree, i think this proto does sound a little bit better, but we'll see how production goes.
viton material itself is a little less responsive then nbr, so will lead to a probably even more clacky sound.
