In this series, I will be revamping my entire Pokemon Home Living Dex, by catching EVERY POKEMON in their original generations while catching them all in POKEBALLS ONLY!
This episode is Generation 7, the final generation before we move onto the Nintendo Switch! Generation 7 is BY FAR the smallest generation when you factor in forms, gender differences, and regional variants. So this one wasn't too difficult to complete!

Have you completed a Full Living Dex? What was the easiest generation to complete?
When I did my living dex, the easiest way was Gen 8 or 9 considering all of the Pokémon are in one game

For me it has to be all the wifi gens where I can have people from around the world trade me the the game exclusives I can’t get on my own
Definitely gen 4, since BDSP and PLA are so easily accessible.
@@jemaroo9514 yeah! Lots of later gen games give you access to a lot of Pokémon! Especially since you can just trade and breed for version exclusive!

As someone who took on a similar task I commend your efforts and dedication, this series is always nice to come back and watch. Does make me sad seeing myself and peers struggle with the mythicals for our living dexes tho so in that regard I'm glad you and others have managed to snag 'em when they were available.
My living dex is currently ONLY missing Marshadow so while I can't have it I'm waiting for the POGO event to try and grab one or get better luck with the trades.
Yeah the mythicals can be tough but anytime they’re made available it’s always good to grab them! They don’t all have to be from the original events!
This is dedication on another level, i tried to do a living dex for just scarlet and violet and just could not find the patience, mad respect you deserve so many more subscribers than you have

Also it was such a relief hearing someone else not like the GO symbol in home! I'm doing a shiny living dex and I'm avoiding using ones direct from GO because of that lol
This journey started over a year ago at the end of my junior year of high school, and has continued during right here at the end of my senior year, and a week before my graduation. It’s ironic that as of right now, you left before generation 8, my first Pokemon games. Thanks for keeping me entertained @thedomination

I didn’t seriously push myself, but I did do the same thing with a full National Living Dex back when sword & shield released.

It was my very first mythical when i played Pokemon Moon:D
Thank you for reminding me! Yeah this era of Pokémon I was getting every event mythical so I wouldn’t miss out like I did for some of gen 6 so I couldn’t remember every one of them 😅
i love this because years ago i started only catching pokemon in pokeballs just for fun and i still do it to this day 😂😂😂 just for me so anytime i see people doing it (which is rare) it makes me smile like oh shit i do that
It’s so fun seeing other people have similar challenges for a living Dex! I also love watching people showcase all the Pokémon they have in their homes!
I was recently in my crystal catching all the gen 2 mons for this exact challenge and found a shiny onix, he’s now an absolute unit of a steelix

That’s awesome! I actually was taking a break from Gen 2 and started playing through my copy of Pokémon Black in preparation for future transfers. Was looking for a Drillbur for my team in Whispering Cave and ended up finding a full odds Shiny Woobat! Good thing I need a flying and psychic type I guess!

there was a marshadow event in sw/sh too but only in japan and europe
You inspired me to do this with my home only issue is i dont have sll the original games so im doing it using the games i have and its fun as hell just started 2 weeks back and just finshed gen 1 using lets go eevee mostly with my other games subbing in for the exclusives

I'm very close to being done with the 3DS era now. I just bought a Japanese 3DS and a Japanese copy of Y so I can catch the rest of the Vivillon I need.
Something else I've been doing as a side quest is going around and doing all the in-game trades in each game. I think It'd be neat to have them all collected.
I've also been Leveling up each Pokémon to level 100 as a side quest, witch is actually really easy by sos chaining chansey in gen 7, and using the daycare method and leaving my DS on overnight in the auto loop in lumiose
Nice! Good luck! I’ve actually had a few people ask me about if I will go for all the npc trades. I definitely won’t count them for the living dex but it could be something interesting to add to the collection when I’m finished!
I had alot of fun doing this on my own. more than I thought I would. sun and moon pretty fun honestly. keep up the good work homie!
edit: ultra beasts in pokeballs was not fun lol, I couldn’t spore some was a pain
I gave my smeargle the move soak! That turns them into water types and allows them to be affected by spore!

I always pick rowlet but popplio was my second choice!
@ThedomiNATION Rowlet is always my last choice, mostly because I absolutely despise Dartrix. I'm in love with Primarina. It's one of my favorite Pokemon of all time.

So, I'm curious about the "Totem Pokemon" that you can get in the ultra games by obtaining all 100 Totem stickers. I know that some of them are unable to be deposited into Bank/home, and that they lose their special size difference when transferred out of gen 7, but perhaps you could add them as part of an optional "extras"? Anyways, keep up the good work! I'm excited to see the gen 8 video come out!
Because they lose their totem status when sent to later games, there’s no point in adding them to a living Dex as they are just regular Pokémon that I’ve already caught. It would be like needing every alpha Pokémon from legends arceus for a living Dex which is definitely not required
And this gen and it's games are severally underrated

Trying to complete black and white right now and I am very greatful for the DNS exploit. Smeargle with the perfect false swiping moveset has been great for catching everything I need.

Different pokeballs really bugged me. So, ever since I was a kid, everything i caught was in basic pokeballs. Certain gender forms I do not have. But other than that, I have every "noticeable" form of a pokemon (#1-1025)*if possible*. And it's always the pokemon with the highest catch rate that takes the longest for me😂.

What are you going to do with the Hisuian Pokémon? Are you going to just bundle them into the Gen 8 video or a separate one?
The hisuian Pokémon are part of gen 8 so they will be part of that video!
Starting gen 7 living dex soon. I find myself getting burnt out after each gen at the moment with the amount of playthroughs needed.
Good luck! Yeah I usually take a break between generations. Catching and evolving everything and especially editing the videos for these makes me not want to rush into the next gen right away lol
How about the Gen-9 Video? Will you do it before Legends Z-A comes out and do a Z-A video separately(Probably Z-A could have new forms/regional variants/pokemon) or wait until Z-A comes out and bundle it into a Gen 9 video
It’s gonna be a while before legends ZA comes out and if it adds any Pokémon, it’ll probably just be a few. So I’ll do gen 9 most likely before it comes out
Great work! Now, regarding the needed forms, I have a doubt regarding the Zen Mode Darnanitans and Female Salandit. Could they be considered different forms internally? One is acually changing form and the other is able to evolve when its male is not
I actually looked into zen mode darmanitan because of the internal forms of mothim and scatterbug, but it is only just an ability change! This is probably because you can just use an ability patch to change its ability while zygarde it needs to specifically be the zygarde cube to change its ability.
As for female salandit, it’s not a separate form. Just a different gender. They just have it set so only females can evolve (like how female snorunt can evolve into froslass and male kirlia can evolve into gallade but the opposite genders cannot)

Unfortunately the only way would be to know someone who is local that can get them or get yourself all the different region 3DSs and different region games 😕

I do not as they are just the regular Pokémon I’ve already caught with my OT and ID

Just go between the breeder and the miltank and charge while wiggling the control stick left and right!
In later gen games or remakes, if the mythical Pokemon not in regular pokeballs could be caught in the regular balls, in raids or story events similar to Pecharunt, would those count in the living dex?
It depends on your personal preference. These are just rules I’m setting myself. No one is required to follow them exactly. For me, I include any mythical that I obtained in the original generation first regardless of pokeball it’s caught in. After that, I would probably include mythicals you can catch in later generations in pokeballs (like meloetta in SV or Keldeo in SWSH). For Pokémon like Pecharunt, you can catch it in a regular pokeball and in its original generation! So it’s the best of both worlds!
A note about GMAX Melmetal/a new Home account - there is no way to sign out of Home on mobile and afaik you can't claim the Melmetal through the Switch version

Super suprised you still haven’t found a shiny I moved on to Gen 8 just last week doing extra runs for Urshifu (getting ones with G-Max factor as well as w/o) I’ve gotten a vullaby in Gen 5 mudbray in Gen 7 and wooloo in Gen 8. Hoping you have some of my luck going forward as we both continue on.
Yeah my shiny luck has been terrible lately both random and during hunts. Hoping I can get something soon! (I have a feeling I’ll get at least one in gen 9)

20:39 is there a reason that you didn't just catch 4 oricorios then use nectar to chabge them (they can be bought in sv)
I needed to catch other Pokémon like the ribombee. Also in gen 7 some of the nectar is day/night exclusive. Overall it didn’t really matter but I asked chat if I should catch 4 Pom poms and change their form or just catch each form and they suggested I catch each form

I found your channel while watching Pokémon rumble videos! And I was wondering how to download it on wii with those files/ emulate it? Im not sure how todo that. Anything helps from anyone!
Because the eshop closed down so many years ago, the only way to get rumble for the Wii would be to homebrew your will then download the game to an sd card and put the game on your Wii from there

I don't know how else to ask you but do you know why the pokemon home sprites on Microsoft excel are not working also when I go and check my email where I shared it to me from it says owner deleted it
@@user-mh1dv1qh2r I’m not sure. I’d recommend doing a direct download to your pc or laptop and don’t try to download it from a phone if that’s what you’re trying to do. I don’t own Microsoft excel so I don’t know what exactly how or why an issue is happening but I haven’t gotten any other comments of it not working
I always use only poke balls even for legendaries idk why just seeing a random ball being used is an eyesore for me 😔
They at least look cool when the ball matches the color!
This year on Pokemon Go Fest Marshadow will be available for the first time in a Pokeball! However this is a paid event

Always slowly working towards it! My current goal is to get a full odds Kanto shiny Living Dex and I have a playlist for it on my channel. But I also hunt other shinies that aren’t Kanto from time to time!

I know 50% came first (XY), but wouldn’t it make more sense if the 10% ones were placed before the 50% ones?
It just depends on how you want to organize your living Dex! It would make sense for 10% to go first but I personally like organizing my living Dex based on the order home has them listed!
I tired listening to your gen 1 video and go in order. But the amount you glitched, cheesed, cheated took me out of it. Was exciting about this series and now not worth watching.
