And using flour sack towels is brilliant. Some of the new towels are made of some “unusual fibers” that aren’t very absorbent and more difficult to work with. Great tutorial!
Hi Margaret! I liked the first towel, but I absolutely loved the one you created! I don't care for my towels to be attached to something, as I'm always grabbing one and keep moving. To have an adorable loop hanger is perfect for me! I think these are perfect year round creative stash buster ideas for self, or gifts!Thank you for this video! As always you're an inspiration! 😊
Thanks Margaret we do use the flour sack towel here for several reasons LoL I have some my mother embroidered on when she was younger and I buy them now to use in our kitchen love the gingerbread cooky toppers
I make the towel holders using either a 3" ring available at Hobby Lobby or some strong cheap bangle bracelets from Walmart. I was already thinking of using this and adapting the pattern before you showed your pattern. I HAVE to make these! Thank you so much for showing this. I will have to make a snowman and maybe a Santa too.
I've heard of the bangle bracelet idea but not the 3" ring binder... that's genius, Lindaann! You can remove it before placing it in the washer so it doesn't clank around in there! And how fun to have a whole holiday collection!
Adorable! Love to watch your videos & do "Repeat Crafter Me" projects. For the 2nd version one could use a rubber ring from a canning jar. Thanks for calling this to my attention, Margaret. x
I love flour sack towels. I am doing gnome toppers for them this year. The towel makes the beard. It has a hidden ring to hold the towel so you don't wash the whole thing.
So cute! I found a crochet hook called Edgit Piercing Crochet Hook. Comes in a two pack on Amazon. It goes right through fabric or terry. They are small but great for doing the first cast on.
Yes! Some people have used cheap bangle bracelets and someone else mentioned a rubber canning jar ring! (So much easier than crocheting right into the towel!)
Third idea ... do a combo of the 2 don't crochet the loop and attach the hands to clips and the clips to the hanger. Then attach the towel by the clips. When I 1st saw it I thought the 1st one did use clips.
Oh, ummm... I think that was Herrshner's Worsted 8. Needle size? Just a tapestry needle that I would sew the ends of a knitted or crocheted project with. Or do you mean what hook size did I use to crochet the gingerbread mean? That was either a 5mm or 5.5mm. I followed the direction in the pattern I linked in the description box.
Until yesterday I haven't seen one of your videos in a while. I just thought you were very busy, plus this has been a hard year for me health wise. So I went to your channel and saw that my bell notification had been turned off. I had heard other RUclipsrs mention that this had happen to them but I thought I was getting all my channels. And that it was a youtube glitch, I thought I had been lucky but no, they got me and turned off my notification to a channel, that was probally the one I had subbed on the longest. weird huh
Look in the description box for the links to the original patterns. (Remember that it's illegal to make a tutorial of someone else's pattern without their permission.) In this video, I linked the original patterns and showed you the modifications I made.
I didn't mean to imply you were attempting to make a tutorial! I was explaining why I didn't do a beginning-to-end tutorial for these projects! I could only demonstrate my modifications.

Very clever! Bravo to you both! Cute as can be!
Thank you! 😊

Glad you liked it, Sue! Have fun with it!
Thank you for all the ideas
You are so welcome!

How nice to have some with your mom's work!! (We have some pillowcases my husband's grandmother did but I'm scared to use them!)
Thank you, Margaret. What a fun project!
Hi 👋 Margaret, as always your videos are fun and interesting. Thank U. 😎
What a nice compliment, Betty! Thank you!
Love this!!
So cute
What I like about your version is that you can use any towel, if it gets stained, no sweat, grab another. Thanks Margaret.
That's true! Another advantage! (And it's so much easier, too!)
Adorable.. will definitely make.. thanks 💕
Great idea, so cute👆☃️

That would be perfect! I'm gonna have to try the rubber ring idea. :)
Ooo! That's a good one, Pat! I've heard of cheap bangle bracelets and bendable wire, too!
I love flour sack towels. I am doing gnome toppers for them this year. The towel makes the beard. It has a hidden ring to hold the towel so you don't wash the whole thing.
I've seen some of those! So cute! (Not sure if I've seen the ones with hidden ring, though! Good idea!)
So cute!! I love them!!
So cute! Thank you for sharing😊
There both both adorable looking❣️😍❣️
And we can thank Sarah Zimmerman for that, Bonnie! She's so clever! I LOVE the little hands and would never have thought of that!
Love these
Thanks for sharing!
Hi, Connie! (I love to see your name pop up!)
Coooooool! Love your videos! Blessings
Thanks, Betty Jo!
Love these!

Oh goodness! Just what I needed and didn’t have a clue it existed! Thanks!
Cute idea for nursing homes for walkers.
Sort of a decoration?! Or maybe that loop kind could be used to hang other things on??
@@sheepishlysharing The toppers by themselves. Decorate the walkers with love.
Thank you for sharing.....
You're so welcome, Cindy! I love to share cute things like this!
Hi‼️it’s very cute
You can always count on Repeat Crafter Me for adorable ideas!
You could crochet around a plastic ring as well for firmness
Yes! Some people have used cheap bangle bracelets and someone else mentioned a rubber canning jar ring! (So much easier than crocheting right into the towel!)
We still have some of the towel toppers my grandmother made. She also did freehand machine embroidery.
Glad to bring back some grandmother memories today!
Leave it to you to upgrade a pattern. Thanks for the two options.
It's hard to upgrade any of Sarah's ideas... I think I just gave some "additional choices!"
Third idea ... do a combo of the 2 don't crochet the loop and attach the hands to clips and the clips to the hanger. Then attach the towel by the clips. When I 1st saw it I thought the 1st one did use clips.
Ooo, Donna! That's clever!! Thanks for sharing that!
Hello, what brand of yarn did you use to make the gingerbread man ? and also what size of needle :) thanks!

Yes... that's happened to me from time to time! Glad you're back, Cathy!
I really love this towel topper but I can’t find it
Look in the description box of the video for the link
Thank you and I have but can’t find her. I think it is adorable. I am with her I don’t like traditional crochet towels toppers , but love her
Where I can find the video tutorial?
Look in the description box for the links to the original patterns. (Remember that it's illegal to make a tutorial of someone else's pattern without their permission.) In this video, I linked the original patterns and showed you the modifications I made.
@@sheepishlysharing I not going to make any tutorial, I want to make one for my kitchen 😂

Could u send me the link to do shara gingerbread thing?
All links are in the description box.
6:45 That seems to happen to me a lot. I come up with great ideas only to discover someone else already did something similar.
Yes... oh, well! At least we have confirmation that we have good ideas!
Margaret, these are adorable! I'm going to put them on my Christmas crafts to-do-list. I just love them, thanks🎅😊🎅
