Saw BR live in St. Augustine 2 nights ago and Jamie was on fire the whole show. Man was doing crazy fast fills and singing backing vocals, and he didn't miss a single beat. BR is collecting amazing drummers like infinity stones
i fucking loved Brooks in BR. he's on a different level... some of my favorite drumming. Jamie is also really good and his style fits their pre-Brooks stuff very well.
Holy sweet jebus! I love this song, but the drumming is sooo bland! It was the first song I learned to play in full. Miller cranked that shit up to 11 and made it his own! I would love to hear a re-recorded version of the song with these drums. That sounds amazing!
@@AlmostaFlipinSkater Brooks did a great job in the studio, the problem was his live drumming, adding too much stuff to the old songs, Being a drummer myself, i can understand what happened to him, the original versions from Pete or Bob were at a level that was way below his skills as a drummer, so he felt he needed to add his touch, but sometimes it didnt work for a punk band. Jamie on the other hand, clearly has a lot of skills but his approach is a lot more straightforwards, he keeps it simple, and hits hard, and thus the band sounds a lot more powerful, kind of replacing Greg Hetson, because Mike Dimkich sounds thinner than Greg.
@Francisco R. That's a fair perspective and Bobby and Pete are great drummers. However I can't view being extremely talented at one's instrument as a burden. I favor the most talented drummers in punk and I think Travis's debut made blink release a percent album with Enema. Brooks is an absolute machine and I love his additions on Generator and American Jesus live (I miss em too), his antics with Graffin, and his Sinister Rogue drums. The Defense is a perfect example of Brooks unprecedently improve Bad Religion. Around 24 seconds he goes around the kit on a brief yet incredible fill, then again in the next phrase. His departure legit made me sad. I miss Brooks but I'm so stoked that the world gets to finally see his talent, and myself too. The guy's a god. Him, Brett's return, and Bad Religion back on Epitaph revitalized Bad Religion with even more musical talent and taste. Since Brooks, every Bad Religion album has been incredible and diverse. Process was rooted in updated 21st century talented Bad Religion mixed with the classics, Empire expanded on that, New Maps was heavy and dark. 52 seconds. Dissent was folk with sprinkled speed, True North was 21st century retro, and Unreason is unique and expansive Bad Religion with new sounds and experimentations. End of History. Brooks and his Christmas album are my favorite Bad Religion albums. But so is Against the Grain, Generator, Suffer, Stranger Than Fiction, No Control, Recipe For Hate, Age of Unreason, How Could Hell Be Any Worse? Jamie is talented as well, but I do miss Brooks on a song like Chaos From Within.
He really toned down his drumming the past 2 years and it’s making the live shows a lot more boring. Especially with Greg just standing there with a stand.
Boring and Bad Religion should never be in the same sentence, I saw them play two nights ago and they were absolutely insane if that's boring to you god help you

I love his 90s style of punk drumming
After all his excellent work in Snot and The Start, this guy deserves a big break like Bad Religion. Stylistically one of my favorite drummers.
you mean Snot from th nineties????
@@uglymusic2603 yes.
@@uglymusic2603 hell yea man check out Snot footage you’ll see Jamie Miller going at it!!
Holy shit, I was a fan of Snot. Fuck, he 's so hard hitting and has such a hardcore thrashy vibe. It's all coming together
This version sounds so much better and Miller has STYLE!!
I was worried when Brooks left as he has huge shoes to fill, but Jamie more than filled them. He brought his own.
Best job in the world in the best band of the world!
Very good drummer and he did an amazing job mixing the Decades shows BR did.
Agree very much
Always loved this combination of energy and precision in his drumming for Snot. Glad to see him in BR now.
some much energy ....Is the best for bad religion....new blood...from Argentina cheers
One of my favourite drummer especially when he was in Snot
I feel like he makes bad religion sound a lot younger, sick ass drummer, gonna see them in huntington beach California in October;)

Jamie miller is unreal!! So slick
i fucking loved Brooks in BR. he's on a different level... some of my favorite drumming. Jamie is also really good and his style fits their pre-Brooks stuff very well.
Yeah he can't quite do brooks' parts as well but Brooks is one of the goats. He makes the Bobby era sound better though.
This guy. 🖤💙

Holy sweet jebus!

I totally agree, the studio version sounds a bit meh, but it's always a blast to watch when Jamie plays it live (or Brooks before him too!)
Great fucking job. great energy ;)
💯
@ 01:43 🤩🤩🤩
Does anyone know what ride this guy uses
Gives brooks a run for his money!
Some seriously punk drums
Dopo brook Wackeman il vuoto siderale
i hated brooks "technical" drumming for a burning punk band like br. The drums on No Control were the best
The drums on No Control were all the same. Brooks made Bad Religion better.

He seems ok but hard to get over BR without Brooks who was a truly tremendous drummer but this guy is solid enough but lacks finesse.
The best BR drummer is Pete Finestone Jay Ziskrout Bobby Schayer Brooks Wackerman Jamie Miller
JAMIE MILLER! SNOT!!
Jamie >>>>> Brooks.
I prefer the original drum part.
A bit overplayed and showy
bruh shut up
