Me too although I was very fortunate to attend an academy with a huge music emphasis as the principal sang with The King's Heralds. So we did music for everyone and everywhere. We traveled a lot to sing and play band/orchestra. I loved it. Camelot years for sure.

This is my preferred Hymn. My Psalm chosen because of my personal life is the one which is written twice in the bible on Psalms 18 and chrónics 22. The psalm of Jesus, His hymn as it's written on the Bible that He sang His hymn priorly going to be imprisoned and crucified for me and you, maybe psalm 118, because, in my opinion, is adequate to the person and life of Jesus as any other.

I just wish the reason why Baptist and most Christians worship on Sunday to celebrate Jesus and that he arose on Sunday becomes true to all. the Sabbath was instituted at creation , being made holy by God. it remains the 4th commandment and was never changed. people have made the change from Saturday to Sunday, not the Lord. because Christ rose from the dead on Sunday Is no where in scripture given for a reason for the Sabbath to become moved to Sunday.
While there is nothing wrong with worshipping on Saturday, the Bible (through the apostle Paul) does make it clear that the Sabbath was a shadow of things to come. He clearly tells us that some of the OT things were designed point to Christ. The Sabbath is specifically listed as well as other Jewish Holidays. (Colossians 2: 16-17) 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
there is more than one type of Sabbath in the scriptures. the annual feast Sabbaths were a shadow of things to come. these Sabbaths existed after sin had come into the world and were tools to teach the plan of redemption. the 7th day Sabbath was blessed and hallowed at creation. it was from the beginning, before sin. it is not a shadow picture and is not what Paul was talking about in colosions. the 10 commandsments were all written on stone by the finger of God. The other commandments were written by man on a type of paper. the 10 commandments were stored directly under the mercy seat. the other commandments on a side pocket. God has made extremely clear distinctions between the 10 commandments and other statues. from how they were given, to what material they were transcribed upon, to where they were stored. they are forever as they all existed before sin, and are not temporary shadows involving the plan of redemption.

Lovely song. Would be nice if the guys didn't dress like disheveled slobs with their shirts haning out. Looks rather ridiculous. The only shirts designed to be worn out have flat hems (and usually slits in the sides) like guayaberas or batiks.
