Finally a real welder on youtube. Thats how a good welder works
Awesome job. Hope your customers appreciate your work. Really relaxing to watch, love the format, loads of work, not too much chat and cool background music.
Keerp sharing fella! :-D
Thanks 👍🏽
Great video, great work. Top marks all the way round. Lovely to see real work being carried out by a bloke who really knows what he's really doing.
well done. 2 years in retirement and I'm jealous. BRAVO
Thanks 👍👍
@@ARCONEWELDING where you are from?🤙🤙
WELD ON Calvin. Your vids are a joy.
Thanks 👍👍
Hey Calvin, nice work there kiddo!
You are doin it!
Success!!!
We did some mig root pipe for some Texaco water injection stations back in the 80,s. It was internally coated which the mig ròot was perfect for. It was then filled and capped with 7018. Worked in some fab shops that used weld positioned and the same 7018 fill and cap. Feather edge land. Bridge tracks were standard. Fit and tacked by one crew of welder and a fitter then passed onto the positioner.
Great vid Calvin, lovely to hear a Brit accent on a welding vid. Really good content, picked up loads of tips. Particularly licked the use of counter balance to aid in rotation. Have never considered that but tbh do very little pipe & never to this size. Really don’t understand the 3 thumbs down though. Will now watch your other vids. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it, ill make a video soon making the counter balances. You cant make everyone happy dislikes just apart of it
Брат Вы Профессор по сварке 👍👍👍👉💪
Another great video Thankyou loving learning about pipe welding and the 1 handed welding spot on I would be all over the place lol. Look forward to the next 1👍👍please keep them coming.
Glad you enjoyed it
Your Welding skill is better and you make good videos thankyou🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Thank you so much 😀
Nice work man. About time to see a brit welding on youtube, I'm in. Keep up the good work Calvin.

우연히 보게되었는데 편안한게 잠이 잘옴ㅋㅋ
Love to see real pro work!!
Man cool in it just like that 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Nice work there brother!
Any chance you could do a vid on how to use the tools properly when working with jig / pipe? -
Tips n tricks to get job done good
Thanks
also, make some dogs ( we call them ) just a piece of plate with a big bolt on one end. tack it to the bevel and set the pipe on the bolt ( use 2 for fitting up ) and adjust the bolts in / out to get your proper fit up. works sweet on bigger stuff like this when doing 90's and such.
Hey mate do you have a photo of one of your dogs?
at last finally i found the real ONE....tnks for the video ...everyone can be a experienced welder.. but.only few are gifted
Man got skills 👌👌
Um alô aqui no Brasil.
É muito bom o teu trabalho cara. Parabéns 👏
Салам. Бро. Красава. Удачи. Тебе. С. Казахстана
Love your pipe welding videos. We usually in a fab shop weld various big air ducts for production industry. We do pipe rarely but nothing serious just for water or air systems with little to no pressure. So I always watch your videos and try to learn something new. Thanks.
If anyone wondering what is song name playing at 11:50 > Daxten, Wai - Rumors
What products are flowing this pipe work? And is there any ndt on the welds?
So when you put you’re flange on is there a certain way the holes have to position or does it not matter???
All flanges are fitted 2 holes at the top so they will fit everywhere
well done.
I Have multiple tickets in Canada that's nice work in oil and gas u can't weld anything on the pipe to spin never worked in fab shop
Only in the field refinery all up hand great job how much do u get per
joint or by the inch
Very nice brotha! Appreciate you sharing 🤲🏼📐😁
My pleasure!!
Hello Dear, excellent your work, thanks for sharing your experience, for my part I am a beginner in the matter of pipe welding, very little experience. I'live in buenos aires, argentina . Usually, these types of jobs are done by large companies. To the external welders contractors there are no possibilities. . I would like you to send me information about the welding machine you use and where you are.
Regards .
Alberts.
Awesome work 👍💪💪👏👏🙌💪
Thank you 🙌
งานแบบนี้ต้องประสบการณ์ล้วนๆ
What type of welder are your considered??
Nice job...
Skills awesome video and description.
Glad you enjoyed it
very good
If I may try running @7 with 19.5 try on some scrap piece first and see how you like that adjustment, for the root pass, or also give your 19.5 another .5 to 20 with that 7, tell me?what you thick?
I’m pretty sure he knows what he’s doing
Amazing skill...
hi, please make a video review of the tool hanging on the blue board
tienes algin video soldando hierro ductil?
Zajebiscie gościu 👍👍👍🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱
Love how you make that machine sing, on the cap pass, but CLEAN your GAS NOZZLE!! stop chocking your gas coverage! It makes a difference.
Мужик! А где ты работаешь? Я всё это умею и могу! Можно к тебе на работу устроиться?)))
Buenas. Primero agradecer el material que compartes con nosotros y para el mundo,Ahora mi consulta .en un trabajo con material mixto osea acero al carbóno y acero inoxidable existe o se puede aliar con sistema Mig Mac y que tal son los resultados? Muchas gracias y estaré atento a vuestra respuesta. Desde Calama Chile atte Rodrigo Balacazar .
Pretty awesome how long did that take?
in finland we welding pipes by using tig welder, kemppi minarc tig evo 200
we do all mig where im from
Nice job, those weld,s do they get x ray is there presure on those pipes when in use
naa only some pipes get xrayed most dont and its all low pressure under 10bar
Oke looks good
I was just wondering why you don't tack @6 o'clock as well as 12 o'clock, if it's level horizontally, and then vertically it would be ok to then tack two places, just before removing your spider! then it's just checking the opposite sides right? it's just a lil faster that's all, less wedge work!! Keep'em guessin!!
What kind of MIG setup is that? Mine would be spattering all over the place.
Thats pulse welding for you, no splatter
Bad azz bro
Hard work ,👍👍
Thanks 👍
when your done do you have to clean/grind the inside welds flush?
naa the way you see it is how you leave it
How come you don’t fill and cap with flux core, I’ve never seen pipe being fully welded with solid wire
i didnt know it was needed, thats how everyone i know does it
It also depends upon whether there is a weld procedure to be followed which has been done with all solid wire. I agree, flux/metal cored is so much better due to metal deposition and speed but solid wire does the trick. I'm just glad he's not doing it with tig, I'm so sick and tired of seeing jobs tig welded when they should be mig welded.
Thing is flux core is a lot stronger than solid wire , all depends what will be going through the pipes
@@billharris3650 because tig has become fashionable to people, never mind it taking ten times longer.
some applications yeah for sure use tig.
I don’t do production anymore so in my garage I like TIG...so much more sexy and easy to control.
should invest in an 8" lathe chuck, fab up a spinner on your table. i fit all my spools in my chuck, handle everything one time. Also, bevel those damn pipe pups. lol
Hey man, amazing work, so cool. what sort of stuff are these kind of pipes used for? Also really noice looking welding machine. 🧐😁🇬🇧
How you weld whit one hand i nead two
Ever try to shut off the auto focus?
My name is Calvin and I’m also a pipewelder
Twinning
All these comments about uphill but I've never seen someone run an uphill root with mig...
It’s not possible. We had a guy at our shop try to do it and got shut up instantly
Nice work, how did you get started
started welding structural first
QUESTION, Just wondering what hood setup with respirator you are running and would you recommend it to others. Thank you.
It looks like a 3m hood that is air fed. I used to have one but i upgraded to a miller t94i-R. its an awesome hood. These hoods are expensive and cost a bit to upkeep but you can't put a price on health.
check the description
você e um centelhe profissional parabéns
Ha need gaps that big to see the joints nowadays 😃
What size bolts are you using for 2 hole
i dont have flange pins so i use the size bolts that would bolt them together
Does the UK still have a formal apprenticeship system for the trades similar to Australia/New Zealand? Great videos man!
yeah there is but there isnt many
Yo man, nice work. Is this your own shop?
Cheers, pipefitter from Canada.
I wish! im in a huge fab shop, thats just my bay
Hahaha no doubt. Maybe one day bro. Keep up the fine work. Appreciate the videos. Cheers
Hi, how do you cut pipes?
We have a 16" saw
@@ARCONEWELDING in Russia we cut everything with a grind
Show us the rootpass
How long did this take you in real time?
around 4hrs
Show 👌🏽
🤙
Isn't supposed to be uphill welds ?
I don't have much faith in vertical down welds....especially on pipe and pressure vessels, any ticketed welder knows thats a sin....
I worked in a shop welding pipe with MIG all up hand the welds are shiny and no spatter 100 percent xray on the thicker pipe flux Cor with gas fill and cap no down hand MIG
He's rolling the pipe, so it's not really downhill,
Not when a process/procedure calls for it. Goddamn, you people.
do not think the pipe work is to the highest standard if it was he would not be welding counter weights to the pipe, his caping runs look and sound like he is using spray transfer high current and speed of travel in this mode you can also tell by the look of the weld profile.this guy is paid by results which makes him to do what he does as any body in his position would ,and is making a bloody good job of it,been thier and done it,you learn your trade in this environment. Vertical down weld using spray transfer is a problem but he is not coming vertical down but on a incline.could go on but it would bore the tits of you all .
@@trichards7981 its downhill the molten puddle is moving down hill. If the pipe rotated the other way and he was carrying the puddle upwards it'd be vertical uphill-rolled. Damn was used to have to do cut outs just for striking a arc outside the arc zone and hes purposely tacked pieces to the pipe... this cant be high pressure or for the oilfield. Probably arent xrayed welds and only run about 10-12 bar pressure in them... So god work for what they are.
your welder sounds funny :D shoulden not the welder sound like bacaon fying?
great vidoe mate :D
The fronius uses pulse so sounds different
It looks like your stoving the root? Shouldnt it be uphill? Like when you do a 6g you dont drag it up or stove it down you go uphill? That's what I've always done in TIG MIG n MMA, drag fluxcore & stickwelding too unless vertical.
Bro
Excuse me in what mode do you weld the root
manual
@@ARCONEWELDING thanks
