As a user pointed out, I made the mistake of assuming Phoenix had 250 weeks, when in fact it should be 350. Sorry for that.
This is so good! I’m pretty well versed on advanced techniques, but to have the updated differences outlined so clearly means I have a chance to adapt before DX is released in December!
Thankyou for this video. Even though I do not know much about advanced raising mechanics, this was still delightfully informative about the kind of rebalances I can expect now that English versions have been confirmed for December (and will apparently have online play against the Japanese versions...which makes sense since they're just uploading and downloading monsters)!

Oof, monsters like Joker and Dragon getting only 250 weeks now is rough. Not as bad as Monol and Gali, though, who now have mediocre statgains AND 250 weeks.
What if we enter the tournament, is there any different methode to move back to the normal schedule as before?
I wish there will be an english version of this legend, asap. How do we get new monsters? On PS1 we use other game cds, is on the current version we should use other catridge?
You search through an online database of CDs provided by the MF team themselves, which you access in-game

This raising method isn't practical unless you have a lot of money built up to start considering you also need easy access to magic bananas which don't unlock in the shop until you reach a specific rank. A modified version of this could work if you are winning consistently until then though.

I had no idea of these hidden stats when I was playing, so I could never reach the highest ranking with the monsters I was raising. So I just hope I can do this again on the rereleases.
Well its not like they put the numbers on the sheet, the closest thing you got to gauge stress and fondness by are raising type and the things that colt says at the beginning of each week. So a lot of guess work at that point.
How can you tell when you get the -10 stress effect on the magic banana?
Your loyalty should shoot up by roughly +10. If you're loyalty is greater than 90, then it should add more than 5 to it; if it's at 100 then it should stay at 100. Remember that loyalty is actually (spoil+fear)/2

Oh you definitely should, especially now that the +10 loyalty from banana will help them do successful HDs faster. though you might need to make some adjustments for the early-stage, Errantries to learn moves, shouldn't be too hard though as long as you deploy them on a week 1 + errantry glitch has been fixed
When you reach S rank they are usually old enough to die!!!!!! Thats why combine , combine , combine!!!!

This is my raising method to produce great monster stats and longer life.
When doing training only accept Success / Great after training save it and if the monster failed reload memory card and start again. That way monsters will get a clean training slate no wasted week.
It really took me some time to raise but its worth it.
My stats is focused in the type of monsters im raising.
Pixies and other smart monsters i focus on
int / skill / speed
If i raise dragon or offensive power monsters i focus on
Power / skill / Life
When on battle as soon as the time starts i will attack and hope for the best lolx
For me plant monster has the longest life of all the monster i raised.
I saw this today for $23 in apple store its cool for a mobile app but i will rather play in ps1 if only i can get a memory card 😅😅😅

I raised a lot of phoenixes, and I remember thinking to myself "this bird will never die!"

My longest living monster was a Blue Kato, that’s what help me go to the final four and win

If you're familiar with the PS1 release, most of the menus should still be the same
