He for sure got paid good for the Rampage fight. Fight was hyped up from TUF and it did good numbers on PPV. He also got KOTN and FOTN bonuses several times in his career not to mention he headlined 8 PPV cards.
I liked Rashad a lot during his time fighting and he went to Michigan State University and I'm from Michigan. I hate State when it comes to the State vs UofM rivalry, but it's always cool when people like him have a connection to Michigan.
It depends on how much business you do and how much they like you. Rashad was a draw on that tuf season. The only people that have had problems with Dana are Francis Shaub Cotoure and Tito
Difference when rashad made money to the donkeys now is that soon as they get paid they more interested in buying a Lamborghini or the next fuck of chain to put around their neck. When it comes to retiring they just are not better of as the fighter 10 to 15 years ago.
Yeah, I'm sure CondomDepot was paying the mortgage... Everyone talks about 'six figures', which is a number coming from Brendan Schaub, who probably just over-reported to make the UFC sound bad.
Now that UFC is corporate and I might be wrong but I have a feeling that these bonuses are well and truly gone. I mean, nobody has spoke about extra money for many years now.
Rashad put on some great performances for the UFC. I think back then the fertitta brothers cut checks out of their pocket for those guys. PPV points were big money back then also.
And people think UFC fighters don’t make good money! He just said he got a extra 1.5 million which would’ve been his cut of the PPV most likely for his fight vs Rampage! He was already making 1.5-2.5 million base pay at that point I bet! So he made at least 3.5-4 mil for one fight, but I bet he made 150k to shoot the ultimate fighter before he even started his camp to film a reality show for a few weeks. Rashad likely made around 9-10 million in his career, maybe even north of that. Could be as much as 15. I would go back and become a fighter if I had to do it all over again! They all have a career afterwards in some form within MMA if they want, especially if they’re well spoken like he is. Definitely not chump change like many people think, UFC pays the elite guys well and Evans was elite for several years! Then after you’ve put your time/effort into the company they always take care of the OGs!
Yal must remember he won ultimate fighter -6 figures Fought when you could have sponsors-easy 7 figures Was a champion fighter when UFC was at its most popular in terms of entering new homes. And he fought when people were startin to get acquainted to it. Im sure him vs Ice man liddell made more money than current super fights
There’s fighters that still fight who have complained. You cant have it both ways. Any person satisfied with the UFC is actually just scared to anger them? That’s ridiculous and childish.
Rashad was a really good coach on tuf.
He sounds really grateful that's refreshing
He for sure got paid good for the Rampage fight. Fight was hyped up from TUF and it did good numbers on PPV. He also got KOTN and FOTN bonuses several times in his career not to mention he headlined 8 PPV cards.
He fought back when they had individual sponsorships
We need another story time with rashad❤
I'm from the Buffalo area originally so I have always had a soft spot for Rashad being a fellow hometown guy.
I liked Rashad a lot during his time fighting and he went to Michigan State University and I'm from Michigan. I hate State when it comes to the State vs UofM rivalry, but it's always cool when people like him have a connection to Michigan.
Chael also got paid back then. I guess it depends on how good you are as a fighter and a negotiator
It depends on how much business you do and how much they like you.

Lennox Lewis rip off lmao
😂😂😂😂 chill but I low key felt some was off with rashad with that hair style
He made more with sponsorships back then.
True.
A fighter like him was easily making 6 figures a fight for just sponsorships. Maybe more in his prime
Yeah, I'm sure CondomDepot was paying the mortgage...

Still shit I mean 1 million pay-per-view? should’ve seen nothing less than 8
Rashad is a champion and will always be
Anderson Silva, Rashad Evan’s & GSP are the reason I really become a massive fan of the ufc
Everybody in that era tbh
Why would Rashad lie about that? People are so stupid..
Because people are so blind they can’t tell the genuine truth from a blatant lie
He was totally honest. The UFC pays what you are worth. If you cannot put people in seats it does not matter how good a fighter you are.
@@paulbenoit6076That's not true lol. If he was a boxer he would have gotten paid way more
Now that UFC is corporate and I might be wrong but I have a feeling that these bonuses are well and truly gone. I mean, nobody has spoke about extra money for many years now.
I think if any fighter does get a bonus, its probably from Dana personally
DC talks about the bonuses too
@@georgegarcia6999 Sure he does but he fought before Endeavour took over the company. Nobody since then has mentioned the back room bonuses.
It was the Fretitas. But I guess fighters are getting paid well still.
Most try not to talk about it to keep away leeches.
@@xwhite2020a few years ago figgy got his 50k bonus in cash i think because it wasn’t immediately rewarded

Certain fighters are just grateful they are getting paid to fight. The smart ones, know not to blow it all.
Cormier said he got 1 mill from Dana after the jones fight, said on top of his base pay.
His energy is so calm , I always thought he was a great man and champ ❤
A class human
It's true, the UFC takes care of fighters that fight and don't complain
Man’s got paid for back then
IRS bout to come take that crystal
Bring back sponsorships i miss the cool shorts

Nailed it
Still crumbs compared to what you made them. Sad that to be grateful you gotta lower your standards
Y’all sold over 1 million in pay-per-view and probably didn’t even make 3 million that’s absolutely ridiculous
Most champions who respect the company are treated right I do with they got more $$.
Always like Rashad Evans. Super humble dude that is honest with others and himself. A real man.
Rashad the predator evans vs luke the soyboy. Why is the camera zooming in on your small package😮
So they pay individual fighters to say good things about their corrupt model
It’s mostly the fighters that didn’t draw crowds and were losing fights that are complaining about the UFC. Most didn’t go on to another promotion.
Yal must remember he won ultimate fighter -6 figures
Fought when you could have sponsors-easy 7 figures

I had my first son the day Mr. Evans stopped by at Octagon MMA. Sorry I missed you and everyone from that camp
In that era ufc was paying there fighters Awsome money and endorsements were a huge bonus
prefect gentlemen.Anyone would be honored to have a son like him
Rashad Evans was a star. 1+ mil ppvs buys ufc 92 in 08’ that was all him.
If they gave him $1.5 million then you can be sure he was worth double, triple or more to them for that fight.
Glad to hear this
Rampage was his greatest and biggest fight should of been paid more
You need to become a superstar first before you can demand how much you're gonna be paid.
Rashad and Dana were close
when Rashad refused to drag the UFC, you could feel Luke's soul getting crushed
Luke is a liberal fruit basket
for real. if this was a former PFL or ONE fighter, he would have never asked the question. Ariel too.
I have seen multiple times now where fighters have said they earned way more than reported for their fights
Yeah they get you to sign a bad contract, Rashad was on the TUF contracts which was low and then pay you a bit more. Congrats
I so appreciate his humbleness.
You need to fix your vibe G!
Now all that attention is on Powerslap
Nah bro! That sound like some company man shit
And why do you trust people who complain then? Everyone could be lying
So, you’re saying Rashad is a liar.
Every curve has outliers
That hair needs too go
he still works for them, how honest can he be?
There’s fighters that still fight who have complained. You cant have it both ways. Any person satisfied with the UFC is actually just scared to anger them? That’s ridiculous and childish.
That’s true, he’s a company man.
