- Here is the latest update on eVisa from the Home Office.
Do these if you want to travel in 2025. I don't want you to experience challenges at the UK borders. I share the information you need to ensure a smooth journey as an immigrant. The UK government has extended the use of BRP and BRC till March 31st 2025 but not all expired BRP can be used.
This doesn't mean that you shouldn't go ahead and apply for your eVisa and link your passport to it. Everyone must have an eVISA and it is your responsibility to apply for your child's eVISA.
I am not an immigration advisor or consultant. Kindly do your own research and follow the guidance on the UK government website.

I just travelled on my Evisa. Did not get any message from Home Office. Got my visa in December. I linked my passport to it the day of my flight. Only issue I had was when I was to check-in on my return ticket from Jamaica. Jet Blue flight attendant at the desk had to call the supervisor to be advised how to check me in. I showed them the online information and he used that. Had no issues connecting in New York JFK to UK. No questions asked anywhere. Just make sure you have your visa status on your device. I screenshot it incase we had internet issues.

No. Now in getting the share code, there's a 3rd option (in addition to Right to Rent and Work), there's PROVE YOUR RESIDENCY STATUS share code option. That is what you should enter as "permit number"

After I’ve com-leted my forms and application, couple of days later,I got a text message to tell me my photo couldn’t be linked to my a/c so I will need to retayeke the photo without my classes. I’ve been trying to get this done so I can have my account well before Christmas and sadly, the system is not allowing me to do so. I’ve tried calling the them but hmm it’s been a nightmare to date
Try repeating in low peak periods when most people will not be attempting this.
You can try using another phone.

Hello.. I got my skilled worker visa vignette stamped on my passport yesterday.... after making ukvi account and completing the id check via ukvi phone application, when i logged in again to my ukvi account to complete my evisa form, it says application number not found...has been stuck on that page..not moving forward...kindly help....

Try reporting it tomorrow if the suggestion I made doesn’t work.
What did you use to do your application?
With an ILR, you are meant to make an NTL application and sometimes they complete the eVisa application on your behalf so that all you need to do is access the eVisa by going to the view and prove your immigration status.
Try accessing it directly. Try the steps to access it in this video.

I tried to update my passport document in my evisa but is shows that document which u r trying to upload is already in our system but when i login and check only brp is there passport is noy showing there….. what should i do now ?
Some people complained about this.
Did you create a UKVI account with your passport previously?
Contact the eVisa resolution centre to resolve it. Others had to contact them.
Kindly share the outcome if it is something one can correct from home. I doubt it as the last person that shared said the technical team resolved it.

Yes because is only ur brp that they have. I ceze of that go to update of indetity status., you will now see a question where you will hoose pazdoort detsil along lone. They will still ask you ur brp number that is how u will then follow instruction about pasdoirt chip and other informationn

Report it. Do not accept the name in the app.

Hi Cynthia, I’m having an issue with my eVisa application. I initially created an application using my BRP details but accidentally entered the wrong name. To fix this, I created a new account and logged in using my passport details. I completed and submitted the application, but it’s been 15 days, and I haven’t heard back yet. If possible can you guide me

Did you complete the BRP application?
There is nothing you can do at this moment but wait for a response from them. It takes from a minute to weeks to get the “View your eVisa” email. If it takes longer, contact them and report your problem.

In evisa BRP consists National Insurance Number RZ 11 23 33 C, it is BRP No. Or NI No. Can you inform me this clarification on this.

What is written beside it?
If it is national insurance, it always states national insurance number.
If you are on a skilled worker visa, your national insurance number is likely to be displayed in your details.

No, you don’t need an eVisa for any visa less than 6 months.

To be sincere, I don’t know. I believe that it applies to ILR holders, although it seems like they didn’t send this to those with ILR.
The information in the email is similar to what was published on the government website about travelling with an eVisa.

I know some who arrived recently and they didn’t ask her for an eVisa.
I am not an immigration advisor, I am only sharing my client’s experience.
In my opinion, it is not needed if you have a vignette visa sticker in your passport. You can create your UKVI account and try to use your passport to create the eVisa.

You can only apply for an eVisa if you have a visa that is longer than 6 months or indefinite leave to remain.
