Loving the new AI videos, as someone who only plays against bots it’s interesting to see how the pros do it as most of the time it’s multiplayer matches.
Still waiting on that Drongo/Beasty team up against the AI. He did say if you beat them it would happen.
With Beasty wanting to transition into focusing on viewership more than progaming, could be willing

I have a challenge for you try to beat this absurd AI with every civ
I beat this AI with russ, I made the challenge "no early agression". I went straight to the castle age and started picking up stones and wood for the defence system, because at this point it's dificult to challenge AI with few units. I think I achieved in my 4 attempt.
11:07 Drongo I cant believe you are an english main and not me and I have to tell you this but if you shift click the white tower after a production building to put it in the same control group. In this case if you put the white tower in the same group as stables but you click on the stable first then the horsemen and knights even on the white tower would respond to the same hotkey as the stables. Same goes for other production buildings
Drongo is the only guy that can put a farm in the from of his base and pause for a moment to think of why he lost vills lol.. Drongo, Production in the front, Eco in the back lol And for the love of baby jeebus put a tower up to gain line of sight.
That villager at 3 minutes was handing out union cards, keep your eye on him!

Walling ai in and building wall towers gets them good too
The British are my main and this strategy is how I beat the new absurd AI. Although I admit I lost almost thirty to forty times before winning once cuz I'm no pro but I like to think I'm pretty dang good at RTS games.
I am very glad they added these difficulties because the old hard difficulty was far too easy

I have a question. You say the counter system works on a 3 tier basis of trash gold and siege units so if he has 1 of each and it looks something like crossbows spears and mango, is it best to create counters on a tier by tier basis like in this example archer crossbow and springald or can we borrow units from any tier and keep the answer simple like horsemen and archer combo?
It's a good thing the AI keeps chopping wood on the far side of the forest from their TC. If they learned to keep villagers closer to safety, you'd have a much harder time keeping the harassment on.

Hey players and Drongo. Very weird stuff happening with the AI. Do you also see a bug with the AIs since the new patch? The old "Strongest AI" became insane sometimes. I'm against the Chinese and the "Strongest AI" so with no cheats went directly to castle age at 2:21. WTF?!?!? And Imperial at 3:12 haha. And built a marvel at 3:40. I have the record for proof lol
You can check the replay to see their build order and stuff, maybe that'll show what's going on?
bro i laughed so hard watching this, i have been trying to beat absurd ai for weeks and i just cant do it hahaha xD
French is top #4 when it comes to the absurd difficulty, you should try a hard one next time.
Drongo one thing that helps a lot against these cheater ai is having multiple towers within your base layout with either Arrow slit or springald and if your China it's even better with handcannon slits combined with a two tc play it becomes doable so long as you don't push out too far and focus on the using units to defend
Great game :) I rinsed hard AI ready for hardest next. You say AI cheats I noticed if I don’t harass early even on hard then later it’s pretty relentless waves… how does it cheat?
Can you do this vs Abbasids?
Please take on the Malians , I think they are harder than the French.

i beat it by being very defensive with my units
since the ai can cheat as many resources as they want when they reach pop cap they cant make more units and if both sides hit the point where they have all techs and all the resources you can want the one who uses this resources better wins
