You are one of my Favorite guitar players ever I study your style I have learned alot from you Thank you Andy Timmons I have been playing guitar for 52 years now and I still learn from Awesome guitar players like you Thank you so much.😎🎸🙌🎵🎶
Some day, people are going to be hunting them down like an old Laney or Hiwatt is now. They are tremendous amps that cut through a mix way better than the Marshall's of the same age.
I'm eyeballing a 1x12 combo locally. People on forums complain about how bright it is. I find that it sings and cuts through very well while holding a lush bottom end. Absolutely has that mesa flavor. @@jimfromoh8944
Not just a great player with unique tone taste, that speaks somewhere deep inside of your soul, but also kind and humble man and someone you would want to call a good friend...
Oh yeah, Andy's playing is some of the most soulful playing I've ever heard, whether it be something like gone or even his harder stuff like his cover of freedom or even Groove or die, his playing is always enjoyable and so enticing, it just makes you fall in love with it. His stuff is absolutely amazing, for those who compare him to eric johnson or vai, satch, etc..., I'd have to say they are all really great and they are all definitely unique ! There is no comparing them, just enjoy them !
Met you Andy while working @ guitar center when the 1st local opened off the toll-road in Dallas , you came in with your clinic , hung out with us and bought me a sprite , Ive talked of you as a guitar hero ever since .
I just HAD to purchase a Stiletto after watching this vid. I wonder how many others have done the same? The clean sound on Channel 1 really is breathtaking with a delay in the loop.
Really want one of these amps I feel like they will be rare collectors items someday. They have a really unique sound. I heard they blow up from a few people, then theres others that swear by them.
Such a wonderful player, one of my favourate tones with such rich harmonics. Might have to start getting a few Boggie amps - my bank manager wont be happy!!!
That's it, I just saw a Stiletto down at the local used shop. I'm on a mission to get it. Andy you've done it again, first it was the BB Pre, now it's on to a Mesa!
@Troglored Absolutely agree. But you don't have to pay 2000 or so for amp. I found LoneStar and Stiletto Ace for about half in local Guitarcenter. It's a lot of cash still, but that's like nice used one, but you get full warranty. I was looking for something for half grand, but honestly these guys are so much better than anything in that range. I got in the trouble at home with wife, but couldn't resist and put one on hold. They are real tonal factory and well worth even full price.....
Man, the sound he's getting out of that amp! Maybe it's just his playing, but I think he convinced me. I was considering a Stiletto Ace combo for my next amp and this guy might have sold me. :)
the stiletto head costs $3000 in UK alone plus the $900 2x12 cab, I agree, Andy can play through anythting and it will sound better than US playing his rig lol
i didn't know till recently how expensive they are there. I baught the floor model at the music store by my house for $1000, and the 4x12 cab cost me $900
1 minute in and i'm sold. I'm going to attempt to trade my Peavey 5150 and/or XXX for a deuce. Wow, I'm officialy an Andy Timmons fan...great overall playing! hyper acurate WITH feel! YES!
I find it always a bit underwhelming when someone talks about EL34 tone or 6L6 tone. Just think how much in common twin reverb and 5150 has. Both use 6L6 in the power section. And using EL34 in dual rec does not turn it into a Marshall or Hiwatt. It really should not come as a surprise to anyone that Marshall and Hiwatt cleans are right up there with anything available now or then. Ever tried 60s Superbass? Cleans are very lush and epic. And loud. Andy said use your ears, that’s still good advice.
Andy's tone is to die for! Warm and full! love it.
I had the pleasure of having a lesson with Andy. Incredible.
I just bough a Stiletto haed + 4x12 cabinet yesterday... It has heavenly tone....
Andy's playing is so tasteful and his tone is just amazing. What a perfect combination.

Great stuff. What a beautiful song! Now I want a Mesa. Love the sound he gets from the Tube Driver.
The stiletto is so underrated.
Stella B I totally agree. Love my stage 1 deuce
Almost as underrated as Andy Timmons.

I got a mesa trident. They are amazing. I thoroughly recommend them.

amazing tone . the best clean tone i've ever heard and his overdrive tones sound so thick ....
Met you Andy while working @ guitar center when the 1st local opened off the toll-road in Dallas , you came in with your clinic , hung out with us and bought me a sprite , Ive talked of you as a guitar hero ever since .
I just got hip to this guy and I am blown away...
he has the best tone I've ever heard
the crunch of the stiletto is just amazing
What a great guitarist and he seems a genuine nice guy, I've got a Mesa Nomad but now want one of these babies.
I just HAD to purchase a Stiletto after watching this vid. I wonder how many others have done the same? The clean sound on Channel 1 really is breathtaking with a delay in the loop.
andy timmons- resident mesa boogie badass. IMO he has one of the best whammy vibrato techniques
Really want one of these amps I feel like they will be rare collectors items someday. They have a really unique sound. I heard they blow up from a few people, then theres others that swear by them.
Andy Timmons could play on a 5-watt battery powered amp and make it sound amazing! Great touch and dynamics.
Such a wonderful player, one of my favourate tones with such rich harmonics. Might have to start getting a few Boggie amps - my bank manager wont be happy!!!
cleavey100 lol@“Boggie”
I saw Andy live with Danger Danger. Totally awesome...
That's what you get when you mix exceptional equipment with exceptional talent.
the clean tone is so beautiful !!!!!!
he is so underrated :/
Ah man hes so underrated.
Anyone else agree?
That's it, I just saw a Stiletto down at the local used shop. I'm on a mission to get it. Andy you've done it again, first it was the BB Pre, now it's on to a Mesa!
The sweetest mesa i ever heard
is $1000 a good price worth he money?
Jade Pascual
Maybe, but it think all mesa product are the best
M.Reza Akbar what about the cab clone?
he so reminds me of steve vai!
the hair, the ibanez, the tremolo.
i think he's now my second favourite guitarist
It looks a metal head...but the clean tone sounds like heaven
I discover something special every day in this amp. Is orgasmique !
shit man, i thought mesa were only good for drive/high gain sounds. that clean tone is one of the best if not the best i've ever heard!

Great.Nice touch tone for days.
Actually, I've found that Andy's tone has never been better. Mesa FTW!!!
1:09 the prayer / the answer .... god bless mesa
Excellent!!!
Grandma Mary
Man, the sound he's getting out of that amp! Maybe it's just his playing, but I think he convinced me. I was considering a Stiletto Ace combo for my next amp and this guy might have sold me. :)
listening to clean channel makes me wanna cry
Someone have to call 911 because this is amazing
Anyhow thats just my two cents, I love all of their work !
~ Sean
6:26 incredible tone!!! Delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
awesome guitarist
@foxtrotalex thanks! I might be getting a replacement neck for my strat and putting new neck and mid pups in there.
Andy Timmons is the GOD of Tone!
I’m convinced that none of the tones are coming from that amp and they’re all coming from his fingers.
"And your fingers will sound different of course..."
Magnificent tone. Andy tell us your secret! I gess GOD's hand is working in this tone!
dimarzio: cruiser, chopper, breed. Most of the mid output alcino 5 pickups from Dimarzio are great.
5:30- 5:45 put a big smile on my face!
The clean with Tube driver creates such a fat, Eric Johnson meets Steve Vai sound!
man this sounds soooo awesome. the tubedriver into clean channel blew me away. WOW! is the reverb in the amp or is he using a pedal?
the stiletto head costs $3000 in UK alone plus the $900 2x12 cab, I agree, Andy can play through anythting and it will sound better than US playing his rig lol
i didn't know till recently how expensive they are there. I baught the floor model at the music store by my house for $1000, and the 4x12 cab cost me $900
Thats surprising for EL34s. Sounds more like 6L6s! wow.. super clean..
Master of the stankface. Amazing player.
Try them both in stereo. Mine works great with my Roadster...
So nice.
this tone for me is literally God's voice
1 minute in and i'm sold. I'm going to attempt to trade my Peavey 5150 and/or XXX for a deuce. Wow, I'm officialy an Andy Timmons fan...great overall playing! hyper acurate WITH feel! YES!
the tone is on the fingers
For me Andy is the tone's god
I find it always a bit underwhelming when someone talks about EL34 tone or 6L6 tone. Just think how much in common twin reverb and 5150 has. Both use 6L6 in the power section. don't hate the bandit :(
He says it right at the beginning... Stiletto Deuce 2
@meta1983 Steve Vai has said, Andy Timmons is the best guitarist on the planet.
Lucky you. Mesa just discontinued the Trident...
@stoneybaksum All the other modes are amazing as well...
@ThomasMetal75
Exactly the thought I had.
Why do so many people hate the stilleto!
That is one sexy fingerboard.
Stage II. Watch the video, and the light of the power status is green (the stage I amp have a red light)
So what are some pickups that really work well with the Stiletto's?
What was the name of the CD I think I missed it!?!
The CD is called Resolution.
@bluebrowne13 can't exactly go out and buy that now can you?
Agreed.
@davem04ify Considering this came out so long ago, I'd guess stage 1.

Why doesn't he mention which Stiletto this is?????? Is it a big secret?
@c9chord
dimebucker,emg 81+85,emg hz,dimarzio yjm,dimarzio superdistortion.!!
never heard of this guy until now but from what I heard I loved and thought it was awesome but I wish he didn't hit the tremolo arm so strongly
Is this amp still made?
hey peavey bandits rule!
Anyone know which Stiletto this is? 50 watt? Deuce II?
Activate automatic subs and, in the guitar parts, some random words appear, as if the guitar is speaking (poetic post)
His tone is too good. I can't stand it. Damn.
what gauge use andy on his guitar?
Is this amp the stage 1 or 2
@rsl84416 No - unfortunately you can't...
@nickyatestheblaze
I actually instantly laughed out loud and looked stupid.
Clean tone is beautiful....but seriously....Andy Timmons could make a Peavey Bandit sound beautiful!!
so sik of digital crap lol goin back to tubes!
The Tube Driver is hands down the fattest OD ever created, yet everyone wants a damn modified tube screamer
1:09
you have just met God...aka Andy Timmons
... He's a musician, not a magician.
cualquier equipo de mierda suena asi con un poco de reverb
This guy is such a yuppie!!!
The codex is still the same...
MESA BOOGIE IS THE BEST!
mesa boogie ftw!!!!!!
