Thank you for this, very informative and concise! I had to take a long break from SF6 and am now finally going back to the diamond grind to master, this video was a great refresher and even taught me a couple of new frame traps! Already see an improvement in my play!
Stop playing for awhile bout to hit diamond 💎 5 with Cammy … it’s always good to go back and refresh up on her tools and see different approaches to her playstyle
Ah, yes that lk is a frame kill, it will make the chp meaty, it will hit on a later active frame. Normally its +7 on hit and +1 on block, when applied like this its +9 on hit and +3 on block. So you have more options. In hit you can now combo into hp instead of cmp normally.
Just picked up SF6 (my first SF coming over from MK so all the notations and button layout is completely different) I was struggling to work it all out on my own and so far this guide has been great, I'm struggling a bit with certain inputs but getting there. (I'm playing on an Xbox Dpad)
Welcome to SF! Cammy is a good character to learn with, simple but effective gameplan and her inputs are the same as shoto characters (ryu, luke, ken, akuma, sakura etc) so you can easily pick up someone else down the line

I'm not familiar with the different archetypes yet so that's good to know, I tried out modern controls and for some reason I find it harder than classic, I think it's because apart from the extra 2 punch and kick buttons t feels more familiar to me, plus I can't deal with not having a D1 (You call it a crouching light punch) I haven't taken her online yet, I think a bit more time in the lab is needed as I haven't built muscle memory yet for some of the Dpad notations as I'm not used to rolling my thumb
I just want to know who decided to give Swing Combo and SHP/Heavy Spiral Arrow such similar inputs. So I can smack them with a joystick. I can never pull off the DI Crush Combo in the corner consistently (especially if I'm on the 2P side) because half the time it doesn't read the stick movement, and just does Swing Combo instead. 😛
Build it up, no need to do all the things at once..just start with anti air, ending combos in medium spiral arrow and knowing what to do after that knock down (dash into mp, cmp). If you have any specific questions on the more advanced stuff im happy to help

Does whiffing the kicks before the C.HP give the frame advantage or is it just for timing purposes?

Only if she wears it with the cap pointing to her back..for aerodynamic sake. A fireman hat could also make for a serious upgrade wdyt?
