With COB lights, I use them bare most often, and then shape light with floppies and bigger negative. Fresnel ain’t bad either. And of course I use the spotlight to bounce and be specific. But if you want to mimic sun, with a 600, the most natural way to do it IMO is with no modifier. But.. sun on film doesn’t need to be natural. It can be heightened with a fresnel or reflector.

@stephencaserta2969 ahhhh yes. I simply mean do not use the aputure 2x fresnel on a 600D. They fit together but not designed to work together. For a 600D you will want the f10 fresnel!
the 2x fresnel should not be used with a 600d. it is fine to use up to a 300d. but for the 600, you should use the f10 fresnel or any other fresnel from another brand that is rated for 600 (LED) watts!
@@BlaineWestropp1 glad i asked. i have a 300x and have been popping the F10 fresnel on it at home. if I happened to have them flipped with 600d and 2X fresnel instead, I probably would have broken the LED from overheating ouch
@geilin2394 yeah f10 is fine for 600 and 300. I think the worst that could happen with a 2x is the light shuts down if it gets too hot, but the 2x fresnel could get damaged. So overall not recommended to pair the 2. It’s good you have the f10!
