Didn't Dacian gold keep Rome running for a long time? Battle of Teutoburg 3 legions. World famouse. Many movies done about that. Rome had 14.000 -22.000. When Trajan attacked Dacia he had about 150.000 warriors with him. There were 3 Dacian wars. Rome even had to pay tribute to Dacia. 0 movies about this. Very sad.

The Dacian Draco, the falx, Murus Dacicus, the Sarmatian allies on horses, the continuous raids by the free Dacians, the alliance with the goths and the invasion of Italy. So many unique elements compared to the old generic barbarian movies, truly a missed opportunity to make a series.

The Dacians from the Arch of Constantine are taken from the Trajanus Forum. Also other parts of the arch. In that era, they do not have a similar good stone working art. However, those Dacians' sculptures symbolize the return of the Empire's glory (but Constantinople has replaced Rome as the center of the Empire).

true however, not entirely accurate, is still interesting that 200 years after, Rome had Dacian or Thracian origin emperors who took all sorts of actions to revenge Decebalus like wasting huge amounts of money on questionable projects like building grandiose marble latrines on inappropriate locations, symbolic places for Rome oh and not any marble, Trajan column one ;) to even change the name of roman empire into Dacian like Galerius for example witch almost did it around 302-305 only a lucky twist of events prevent this from actually happen :)

Why did he biuld these towns South of Danube river? Do you know that the Romans called Dacia whole the land nord and south from Danube and Dacians all the population there? Why? Because the population was one ethnos - Thravians. Now Bulgarians and Romanians. Bulgarians are stoll keeping its old language Romanians created new language with the help ot some Great Powers less than 2 centutes ago.
