Thanks for watching lovely beings! This is definitely not a tutorial as I am sooo not qualified to do so. But I can still post the measurements here in case it will help anyone! Total Length: To longest part of the "U" shape : 75.5 In. To shorter sides of the "U" shape : 70 In. Width: 45.5 In. Hinge length : 18.5 In. Hope this helps and hope you enjoyed my fun video about the process! P.S. I am back from my camping trip and it was such a success! Stay tuned and subscribe to see my next video :)
Jeremy Young we just used the foam we bought from Lowe’s and stacked a full size memory foam mattress topper on top. It was I little tight for the fit but squeezed in nicely. So I think a twin would fit but not if it’s extra long. :)
Of Course! Total Length: To longest part of the "U" shape : 75.5 In. To shorter sides of the "U" shape : 70 In. Width: 45.5 In. Hinge length : 18.5 In. Sorry I couldn't do much else to make this video an official tutorial! hope it helps you a little bit :).
Awesome build Except for not upholstering those two bottom pieces separately that was definitely a okay but it will work I know I'm picky picky but being in the Upholstery and antique restoring business for 45 years I'm just that way LOL
You should do more of these type videos. The entertainment factor made this so enjoyable, not to mention that I just bought a Forester and am considering something similar.
Love this I drive a forester too. Its an old one but might get a 2019 forester this video gave me some ideas to do. I cant wait to go on some adventures in my Subaru
I don’t want to sound negative, but that sheet will make both people in the front seat instant paraplegics should you get rear-ended, even at relatively low speed. I don’t know about your vehicle registration laws but a car like that would be defected by authorities where I live. Surely you could come up with a design that would collapse in the middle in the event of a car accident? On a positive note, the video is fun and well made.
@@LivandCreate 🤣🤣 I like this guy's idea. But I would make it foldable and bigger ruclips.net/video/2gti74xvq-M/видео.html. Still have lots of head room

Hey! Quick question, did you guys just use the form pads for a mattress or would a twin mattress be able to fit? Thanks!

I may be wrong but isn't that a tent set up on the rooftop already?
Haha yeah you’re right lol we didn’t like how the rooftop tent worked in the wind and rain so decided to make a bed inside of the car!
@@LivandCreate I hear ya. We set up a sleeping situation inside our Subaru and I think we're going to stick with it.
