Thought you were kidding about that and I looked it up and the song only exists via Bioshock Infinite. A great song, through and through. No doubt about that! But just WOW how honestly rare this song is! o0o
In the open part of the states North wind swooped on The Great Plains and down come from the sky a pretty meadowlark sat by her side and he called her his Wild Prairie Rose his Wild Prairie Rose. Clipped her with his beak, and he held her to his yellow breast, then up in to the clouds, where she and her meadowlark bound. (Chorus) And he called her his Wild Prairie Rose, his Wild Prairie Rose. He called her his Wild Prairie Rose, his Wild Prairie Rose. So higher and higher they flew, and they did so for days and days, but without her roots, all her petals were wilted away. So down to the ground they did come, and he laid her in the gritty mud. Her life had seen its last moments, and he flew off for another bud. (Chorus) As transcribed for you. :)
This song can be taken in two ways, one is that this is a song about a bird who plucks a rose and flys off and second and the most saddest kind of meaning which is about a playboy kind of guy who made a certain girl believe that he was a good guy he called her many names for e.g his wild prairie rose, and they were together and all was beautiful until he left this girl for an another girl thus making this girls heart break. Its so sad :( poor girl Then there is the Bioshock Infinite ver where this song is about Booker and Elizabeth
Our hearts melted because it brings back the mental thought of how fairs are meant to be and what gives them the magic they use to have I'll bet you the first moment we had a chance to attend a traditional 1900s fair we all would jump on it
I’m listening to this song from a beloved game all whilst my kitten of 19 years is dying in my arms and I’m commenting during her unconscious state. What the fuck is life..
I did the exact same thing! I just sat there and felt my heart melt, which I have probably done more times in the short time I have played this game than in any other before it. I'm happy you enjoyed it!
Song fits the theme of the game so well, that turn of the century vibe that can only be made when leftovers from the old west days combine with city dwellers from the new age amazing stuff
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. I just got to this part in the game, and sat and listened to it replay like 5 times because I was just in awe! I had better luck finding this though, I just typed in Wild Prairie Road, I thought it said Road not Rose baha. Anyways thanks man,
I wish I knew. I was extremely surprised it wasn't even on the actual soundtrack. I was just walking in awe through the beginning of this game and I heard this so I had to have it.
Thanks, I'm happy to do it and will probably do it with any other songs I find in the game that aren't on the soundtrack. Good luck on the research I would be very happy to know who this is. Glad to know you're enjoying the game as much as I am. Have fun!
Well thanks so much for posting this... I googled the lyrics and your video came up! I shall continue to research and try to figure out who this is. If I find out I will let you know. Loving the game so far and the music is great as usual!
Getting word the song is going to be either on Ommie Wise or Jessy Carolina's new album coming this summer. So far this song isn't anywhere except in the game.
Jessica you are a legend!!! Thankyou so much for the info. Just spent the last hour watching videos of Jessy Carolina and I can't get enough!... Love it. I still can't find this particular song on and album or anything though. Know where I can get it? :)
hey, i know your comment was ages ago but i was looking for lyrics too with no joy, so i listened to the song a few times and tried to work them out myself.. I think someone from the USA with a better knowledge of the accent/ colloquialisms might be able to do a better job than me, but if it's any help as a starter i can pm you what i have so far? (it's too long to comment)
The amount of times I’ve wanted to listen to this somewhere outside but I can’t because it’s only on RUclips.
Truly a hidden gem

Thank God. Its a very moving song, but gosh, a couple of those lines are hard to make out.
Hehe, you can hear the "Salts" machine jingle during the song, if you pay attention. xD
i thought that was apart of the song
I wish this song was more popular. It’s so great

I wish the game had more exploration of the functioning world before it becomes shooty shooty.

What the fuck is life..
19 years of love and entertainment, my condolences I own a kitty with 11 birthdays on her and she's like family to us.
@@davidc5389 she was family to me too.🥲 love your family, animals and all yeah..?
why does this song bring tears to my eyes when i sing along with it?
I need a 10 hour version of this. I'm never ready for it to end.

So glad I bought this game instead of Dishonored on my birthday back in 2013
Well Dishonored is a good game too.
Dishonored is also a good game
You bought yourself a present on your birthday?
Implying Dishonored sucks ?
Dishonored is still a great game. You act like it fucking sucks.
Nothing better than giving the gift of knowledge in a story the kids will enjoy.
I arrived at the fair n heard this...walked to the stage n stood there... I eventually carried on playing about 20 mins later. Tune.
Not sure why this makes me emotional, I've never played Bioshock. I guess old school country music does that to ya
Favorite song from Bioshock Infinite. Definitely helped make the fair more immersive.

Man I love this game
Elizabeth= Wild Prairie Rose
Songbird= Lark
I wish I knew. I was extremely surprised it wasn't even on the actual soundtrack. I was just walking in awe through the beginning of this game and I heard this so I had to have it.
My god it's so beautiful. I've been listening to Jessy Carolina non stop! BioShock Infinite is the best game ever man.
I've never been in love with a song before.
It's Jessy Carolina. She's from NYC. Listening to her is like stepping through a time machine.
At the raffle and fair, as you pass the "Cast out the devil" game there is a small stage with four performers..three males one female.
I just alt+tab'd out of the game to find this song and drain a beer. Great stuff.
Thanks, I'm happy to do it and will probably do it with any other songs I find in the game that aren't on the soundtrack. Good luck on the research I would be very happy to know who this is. Glad to know you're enjoying the game as much as I am. Have fun!

I was just standing and listening to every word she sang. Finally, I found it.
wow, thats a great interview!... thanks so much for sharing :)
Yo idk why you uploaded this or what but thank you!!!!
Getting word the song is going to be either on Ommie Wise or Jessy Carolina's new album coming this summer. So far this song isn't anywhere except in the game.
Why this so good ??
too bad this song didn't make it to the OST album :(
Original music by Jessy Carolina (singing). Performed by Ommie Wise.
The Best Music is the one you like the most
Jessy Carolina has the voice of a damn angel
I do believe this is the only original song written for the game.
Jessica you are a legend!!! Thankyou so much for the info. Just spent the last hour watching videos of Jessy Carolina and I can't get enough!... Love it. I still can't find this particular song on and album or anything though. Know where I can get it? :)
Songbird and Elizabeth?
Maybe Comstock and his wife
That would be Jessy Carolina. And I believe the band playing is her group the Hot Mess (Formerly the Bill Murray Experience)
The circus of value at 1:48 lmao
I think that's right but I think it's "all her petals were wilted away" and "her life had seen its last moments"
What'd I tell ya buddy, only one prize per person!
Bon Jovi laid me down in a bed of them once
I do not understand why this music is in the OST!I like this music the second in this game.. after will the circle be unbroken..
+yk kim You mean it isn't right?
Can you upload more song of this game
Can someone please post the lyrics ? I can't find them anywhere no can I make out all the words. This song is absolutely beautiful.
Does anyone have more info on this song? Who's singing this?

Can anybody tell me what genre of music this is?
Only the finest folk music you've ever heard
The best music in the world (bluegrass music).
+Alternatevil This is what people mean when they talk about "real country music."
It's a folky Old-Time music. Like bluegrass but older. It's pretty neato
