I was nervous to tell my parents even though I’m an adult living by myself because I didn’t want to cause problems when I visit them. They barely had a reaction though, my mom looked mildly displeased but she said it was just because I’ve had issues with iron deficiency in the past. As a bisexual trans man; coming out is one of the most gut wrenching experiences one might go through. I was scared shitless to come out to my best friend who i knew was 100% chill with queer people. Hell, I had been to a pride parade with her beforehand. I came out DURING a pride parade. And I was still scared. Both when I first came out as bi, and then as trans 2 years later. I can't even express how much coming out as queer is NOT like telling people you have a different diet. Even if you know they're accepting, there's always that little fear that they will not accept you. It happens so often, for "accepting" people to reject their queer close ones. For me it's also because I live in a quite queerphobic country where each pride parade is a risk of being hit with a brick on the head.
@@christineburon6090 The way 90% of the time you have to put up with defending the fact you're trans and not "confused" or "just curious about how it'd be to be a different sex", and then constantly correct people on your name and pronouns... As a trans guy and someone who tried being vegan once, being trans is harder. I was scared shitless to tell my mom (she’s chill and loves me still), I thought I was gonna get disowned by my father and his side of the family so I pretty much prepared myself for the worse and disowned them in the process. I was even scared to ask my queer friends to call me by my name, even though most of them have a deadname or have changed names multiple times. I tried going vegan for my health, yes it was hard but not nearly as hard as being trans. I could give up meat and eggs any day but giving up cheese would be taking it too far. I’m a picky eater and don’t like some of the replacement foods. I like soy, meat substitutes other than beans, and fruits and vegetables, but I already had a hard time getting protein. If someone every claims being vegan is more difficult than being lgbtq+, I think that they are extremely privileged and most likely haven’t spent a single day in a queer person’s shoes.
I’m bi and trans as well, and being queer is so much more difficult than if I were to be vegan. Like yeah my family would make fun of me a bit, but they might actually respect my identity in that case 💀
I have proof (in form of a photo) that babies aren’t vegan. The sheer happiness on baby-me’s face trying to eat a chicken leg is alone enough to destroy her.

@@XxJumping.Sp1derrrxX Yeah, but you could just as easily interpret the song as being sung from the perspective of Barbie. It's literally a song about Barbie from Barbie's POV.
"Humans are born vegan" * grabs microphone * * holds it very close to my mouth while keeping eye contact * * whispers * That's literally impossible. Human milk is by definition not vegan, just like cow's milk. *Do you want to feed a carrot to a newborn baby?*
Human can consent to giving away their brestmilk, cow cannot. Are you stealing human milk? Then I agree it's not vegan. Veganism is about lessening suffering and exploitation of animals, I don't understand bringing up people giving babies THEIR OWN milk that THEIR body produced (ergo there is no victim, ergo it's vegan).
@@octohej6436 I wouldn't really consider it stealing from cows either As long as they are in good conditions, I wouldn't call it stealing. Unfortunately most cows can't run away or anything, so that would be "theft" (even though they have no understanding of the concept), but if they're out in pastures and can run, they usually don't. Is that still theft?
@@spamtongaming4172 The reason why I brought up stealing talking about humans and abuse talking about animals is that I don't care if someone takes some milk from a happy cow who doesn't give a fuck. I think that breeding a species in a way for them to produce more milk while taking their young after birth, destroying ecosystems to have enormous amount of space for growing soy to feed livestock (everything in the most cost effective way) is deeply immoral. I feel like we're having two different conversations. It's like talking about chocolate production and child labour in Côte d'Ivoire and someone saying 'Hey, cacao bean can be ethically sourced so wheres the problem?' (most dark chocolate doesn't contain milk, this example wasn't meant to connect with cow discussion). It's disheartening when someone takes time to learn about cruelty of todays animal agriculture and all that surrouns you seems to be jokes and arguments using exceptions. Personally, if I had to come out at work as a vegan or a queer person (I'm both) I'd choose second option. I'm 100% sure it would bring me less frustrating, pointless conversations. i was outed forcibly to my family, i was terrified. my dad was a veteran and a conservative. I was worried about conversion camp, of being kicked out, of being insulted and threatened. my dad was a good person, greatest dad in the world, but that was the most terrifying thing i’ve ever been through. on the other hand i’m a picky eater, i don’t eat red meat, i don’t eat onions and mushrooms, i don’t eat things that have even touched them. telling my mom i wanted to try being pescatarian was as simple as bringing it up in the middle of a random conversation. there is a distinct difference and even just comparing them is disgusting.
Fun fact: Even herbivores will eat meat if they have an opportunity. Deer eat carrion, squirrels eat eggs and hatchlings, cows and horses are known to snatch up the occasional chick from the ground. Meat is so packed with easy accessible nutrients that there aren't many animals that are purely vegan. (And even if, while eating plants they'll probably also eat some bugs with them, which is also a great source of protein) Of course, we humans have the mental capability to make a choice, but the fact stands that it's a lot easier to maintain a healthy diet when you include some animal products.
Also, for people with certain allergies in food (for example I have cealiC) can't get enough nutrients without eating meat, and can even get a iron deficiency (and I don't want that again)
The worst thing is she's bastardised a normally decent and empathetic and passauve pov, by being unempathetic and abrasive. Why does a minority of Vegans have to ruin it for the majority. I'm not even a vegan and this pisses me off
and as a queer person, you can’t just say coming out isn’t a big deal and not something to celebrate or congratulate. and you don’t come out as vegan, being vegan is more like deciding to wear a blue shirt rather one day if you compare it to being lgbtq.
I have food aversions and can't eat red meat. All I had to tell my mom was "red meat makes me want to throw up. I know your cooking is amazing, but it's the meat that's the problem" and she's allowed me to make meals for myself when there's any red meat for dinner. When I came out as trans, she did accept me but I had to explain to her my entire life story and every sign I could remember for her to believe me.
Yeah! I mean, The amount of times I told my mom I was hypersensitive to certain food texture until she accepted it: 1 The amount of times I came out to her as asexual until she accepted it: 8
@Milo-hp9fw At most, ive heard antivaxxers still feed their child things that theyre allergic to. Whether it be dairy or nuts, its a weird amount of people who dont believe allergies exist. Even then, to say being vegan is harder than being lgbtq+ is just, hilarious. Gender and sex are a journey to people. Its expansive and has a lot of people and each gender expression is different. Vegan is vegan, not complicated to accept for people.
I’d like to also add that the vegan teacher stalked Kris for at least a year (I forgot the exact time, Kris made a video on it as well) before Kris and Oompville got together
She's been like this forever lol, I knew her in person and everyone I knew found her insufferable. She got upset we used feathers to make paper crowns with kids (they are plastic) and she made her husband wear a shirt that said "men can be vegan too"
Story time: I had the unfortunate experience of stumbling across a live of the vegan teacher and guess what? She said oh yeah the lgbtq flag stands for lettuce etc that’s messed up
Here’s the thing with the vegan teacher. People don’t hate on her because she’s Vegan. People hate on her because she insists that everyone HAS to follow her ideals and when you just keep shoving the same stuff down peoples throats over and over they’re just gonna stop listening. And she takes it so far to a point she will willingly create terms by herself to use against other people. If she was more calm about it and explained some reasons why people can be vegan or how they can be vegan would be a lot better than using things like hate speech and other things as such to get her point across. Otherwise that’s how I feel about all of this, have a great day
You know the funny (well, not so funny at all) thing about it? When it comes to the LGBTQ, you have people saying they don't want this "shoved down their throat" whenever some media or program just so happens to _feature_ someone who is queer or transgender... could be the star of it or a minor character. Or even an event at a store during the month of Pride. But... somehow what the Vegan Karen does is acceptable, as in she is literally trying to shove down our throats Veganism? And she has the nerve to say that coming out Vegan is harder than as LGBTQ? I feel there is nothing wrong with being Vegan at all. I may not agree with it personally, but one of my brothers took that dietary direction and he is just fine. Not to mention, this notion that people are born vegan... HOW STUPID ARE YOU, KATIE?!
just because YOU had a fairly positive coming out experience doesn’t mean that coming out isn’t a very difficult process. veganism entails being aware of what you’re eating, being queer- at least in certain situations- entails being extremely cautious around certain people because you’re afraid of being hate crimed. as a trans person, i doubt vegans will ever have to deal with such horrible treatment from your own family and government that i have to go through regularly. sorry for ranting but god. stay safe my fellow queers ❤️ vegans, i’m sure most of you are also pretty cool
I completely agree with you! I have experienced intense homophobia frequently as I am very openly and confidently gay, and you’re so right! Many people in the lgbtq+ community have to worry daily about their actual physical and mental safety, being vegan is a choice that affects your diet, it might come with a joke or two if your friends have no better jokes to make but just yiiiiiikes she does seem to be very self-centred (to say the least). Many of us in the community have a little horror-story list of homophobes and it’s just insane how some people can’t open their eyes enough to admit that some people struggle with that when they themselves have not. I would like to say that I am quite a lucky member of this community, although I have had my fair share of bad situations, it could’ve been worse. I know people who have suffered much greater than I have, but this is not something that I should have to say. I shouldn’t e grateful because I wasn’t hate crimes as *much* today or whatever…….. I started going into a bit of a rant there which is embarrassing but ignorant people are just so confusing to me, I will not lie!
Ok so to answer the question did she start it as a joke 8:30 , when my partner was younger That Vegan Teacher was her teacher (yes she’s an actual teacher) and she would try and push it onto her students and that is part of why she got fired soooo yeah… she was always very extreme in her beliefs and always pushing it
As a gay trans vegetarian Coming out as queer is 10 times harder Cause like No one cares what I eat when I comes to food But ppl do care abt who I love and what I do with my body
I doubt Vegan Teacher has actually watched Hazbin Hotel, she probably just stumbled across that one clip and did a video reacting to that knowing absolutely nothing about this character. At least that's a better assumption than the assumption that she completely ignored everything about this guy being a cannibal psycho in Hell to concentrate solely on the scene where he eats a damn deer for breakfast
the bi queen/bye queen joke lmao in the same vein im really impressed with how frequently you upload while having pretty good jokes in every video, do you write a loose script and record a couple times as jokes come to your head or do you spend time specifically writing jokes?
Imo, its better that way than giving her attention, which she takes as a go sign to take things much further. Kinda wish commentary channels would stop covering these people, but I have to commend the grind.
I'm not vegan. I eat tons of meat. I just want to say that human fluids, flesh and meat are considered vegan. Cannibalism is vegan. It only applies to other animals.
@@shyamy5792 but it's still milk??? I'm not saying that babies shouldn't get breastfed if that's available for the parents, I mean that claiming babies are vegan is wild and not true

Coming out as queer isn't just about sharing your truth with the world, it's about showing other queer people who hide their identities because of fear and/or shame that there are people out there like them who will love and support them. I can't think of something more kind to do for someone else.
14:13 that Alastor one killed me the first time i saw it he is a literal cannibal. what if it was a human? hm? i doubt she'd care then with her track record
5:16 fun fact: 1-2 years ago a vegan couple had a baby, and of course they decided to also make the baby vegan so they didn't give it ANY animal product. The baby died before making it to 1year and the parents went to court for it :) EDIT: the reason why the baby died is because of vitamins B12 insufficiency (the vitamins that makes you grow), And this vitamin is MANLY in animal products such as meat and cow milk
The billie part is because Billie Eilish wrote a, beautiful might I add, song for the barbie movie called “What was I made for” about trying to rediscover yourself
As a trans vegetarian coming out as trans is a lotttt harder. Coming out as vegetarian just means i get rude looks sometimes at family dinners, some family members are actually super welcoming and will make me specific food. I haven’t even come out as trans for fear of being completely shunned 😁👍🏼
Exactly. I’m not worried that someone will give me death threats because of my diet choices (except maybe the Vegan Teacher, how ironic). Being bi on the other hand…
She has made soooooo many videos about KallMeKris for a couple/few years and has even compared Kris’s SA story to the endured breeding of animals. Kris has made videos about her in turn and hasn’t let such comparisons hurt her and I will always love the strength she has.
at 5:40 when she said that all babies were born vegan, i think she forgot that babies usually drink their mothers breast milk, with is not vegan since it comes from animals because humans are animals (correct me if im wrong tho)
the fact that at the end of the video he said that i was corcheting and pointed literally right at my hook, ive never been so happy to find a new youtuber to watch lol
Sadly, there's people that don't just say "okay" when you tell them you don't want to eat meat for example. I have family members that always want me to eat meat, tell me how wrong I am and are so bothered without me saying a word. Never in my life would I compare that to coming out as gay tho
I genuinely want to see that veggie teacher make gameplay on Stardew Valley, probably gonna have a temper tantrum when you have to milk the cows and goats, steal the chickens and ducks eggs and make mayonnaise, and or the non-vegan food in the game.
I came out to my dad and he treats me like my being a lesbian is a fetish i have, and is equivallent to liking feet I dont think the vegan teacher can ever possibly argue that people see veganism as a fetish, unlike being gay which is constantly sexualised
as a vegetarian lesbian, i can say that coming out to people as a lesbian is harder than vegetarian because there's a bunch of vegetarian/vegan options and it's easier to explain
5:53 ... we are of the animalia kingdom and thus technically animals. A mother's milk would technically not be vegan. So, a baby can't survive as being vegan from birth.
according to the vegan society: "Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude-as far as is possible and practicable-all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose." So as long as the mother consents to giving her child her breast milk, that breast milk is vegan.
I'm 90% sure my parents was more upset when I came out as non-binary and aro/ace more so then if I told them 'I'm vegan', they would probably say something like "ok cool you eat plants what ever" verses kicking me out of the house
I am crocheting currently :D (Also as someone that has come out as gay and is planning to come out as trans, I think it feels way scarier and more serious than being vegan. I could get bullied for being gay but nobody would bat an eye if I was vegan.)
I have a vegan friend and they're a SANE vegan who isn't forcing anyone else to eat meat. Sadly, I didn't talk to them for a long time and kinda miss them too :(
Lol i love your intros to these videos, like an epic video game battle. OH, btw, i have something to add on, so i was watching the vegan teachers tiktok live a while ago and someone asked her what her opinion on mental illness is, and she responded with “mental illness? No no, you can’t have mental illness when you have all of those dead corpses and bodies in your stomach (animal meat)” I don’t have video evidence because it was a tiktok live and I wasn’t expecting it out of the blue, but I’m sure there are other people that hopefully remember and saw it. If you make another video about her please include this, because this is not ok of her to say, and she said it so casually as well, like thats messed up.
If we completely stopped eating animals all together, like you said, the number of animals would grow to way to many. They would also be losing more of their home to farms growing all of the vegetables and fruits that we would be eating every day because Farmland already takes up way too much space just for most of us to have an omnivore diet. I don’t think the vegan teacher ever thinks super far ahead, personally.
Hi. Just me being an animal nerd; in nature, there are these things called obligate carnivores and obligate herbivores. This means that they can only survive on a diet of meat or plant matter. And they are actually pretty rare. Cats are obligate carnivores and their digestive system needs a lot of meat to survive. On the other side of the spectrum we have the obligate herbivores like coalas, pandas and sloths who eat nothing but plant matter since it's the only food they can digest. Everything else? A spectrum of omnivores. Turns out even horses, deer, cows and other animals we think of as "herbivores" will not give up free protein if presented with it. They can also benefit from the calcium by sucking on bones or eating the flesh of other dead animals. I recall a study done on wild bird population on a small remote island in the UK (I think?). They noticed something was raiding the birds nests and eating the hatchlings. They were confused as this was a bit remote and there were no foxes, cats or ermins on this island. But... There were sheep. And after some looking into; they found that it was the sheep that was eating the baby birds. I have seen a deer eat a snake. Slurping it up like spagetti. In nature; a free meal is a free meal.
Actually, pandas aren't supposed to be herbivores. If you look at their poop, it's basically raw bamboo. They can't digest the stuff, but they eat it anyway because they're dumb. There have been zoos that Introduced meat to their pandas diets, and those pandas did a lot better. Like, they actually had a desire to do things like reproduce, rather than just eat wood they can't digest
I came out as pansexual and trans when I was like, 13, I've gotten the surgeries (FTM), and I still get the looks, comments, and terrible hate from people, including my dad the most, which is why I struggle with family reunions cause of it, I've had/have plenty of mental health issues, as well as self harm problems. Even if you know they're accepting, there's always that little fear that they will not accept you. It happens so often, for "accepting" people to reject their queer close ones. For me it's also because I live in a quite queerphobic country where each pride parade is a risk of being hit with a brick on the head.
fr coming out as trans was the worst expenses ever for me
@@christineburon6090 The way 90% of the time you have to put up with defending the fact you're trans and not "confused" or "just curious about how it'd be to be a different sex", and then constantly correct people on your name and pronouns... My language is very gendered, literally every verb and adjective is gendered, so sometimes I have to correct people multiple times per 1 sentence :")
Yeah, as a fellow trans guy coming out is so so scary. I'm still in a rough spot but I'll get through it
As a trans guy and someone who tried being vegan once, being trans is harder.

Right, it was a song she wrote to fit the themes of the movie, nowhere in the song did she mention dolls at all.
@@XxJumping.Sp1derrrxX Yeah, but you could just as easily interpret the song as being sung from the perspective of Barbie. It's literally a song about Barbie from Barbie's POV.

"Humans are born vegan"
* grabs microphone *
* holds it very close to my mouth while keeping eye contact *
* whispers * That's literally impossible.
@@octohej6436
I wouldn't really consider it stealing from cows either
As long as they are in good conditions, I wouldn't call it stealing. Unfortunately most cows can't run away or anything, so that would be "theft" (even though they have no understanding of the concept), but if they're out in pastures and can run, they usually don't. Is that still theft?
@@octohej6436💀 r/woooosh
I'm 100% sure it would bring me less frustrating, pointless conversations.

i love how alastor was a cannibal when he was alive and hes a deer in the show and he eats deer. So its still cannibalism. Its funny.
Also fun fact, Deers in real life would occasionally eat meat, but not a lot.
Pigs also eat anything…I mean anything! They are omnivores that have a bottomless pit for a stomach.
@@Lynnywhereuat007 yeah Vegan Teacher is so stupid.
i was outed forcibly to my family, i was terrified. my dad was a veteran and a conservative.
(And even if, while eating plants they'll probably also eat some bugs with them, which is also a great source of protein)
Of course, we humans have the mental capability to make a choice, but the fact stands that it's a lot easier to maintain a healthy diet when you include some animal products.
ur so right, herbivores are at most vegetarian
Huh, not even I knew that. And I'm an "Omnivore"
I'm not even a vegan and this pisses me off
Not the hazbin hotel reaction 😭
ikr it caught me off guard-
I was watching this in the background and did a double take when i heard alastor humming
And…the deer was rotting…hinting that it was dead a long time ago. No one said he killed it either.
and as a queer person, you can’t just say coming out isn’t a big deal and not something to celebrate or congratulate. and you don’t come out as vegan, being vegan is more like deciding to wear a blue shirt rather one day if you compare it to being lgbtq.
Yeah! I mean,
The amount of times I told my mom I was hypersensitive to certain food texture until she accepted it: 1
The amount of times I came out to her as asexual until she accepted it: 8
@Milo-hp9fw
At most, ive heard antivaxxers still feed their child things that theyre allergic to.
It doesn't count when your family already stopped talking to you before come out, which I assume hers did long ago.

I’d like to also add that the vegan teacher stalked Kris for at least a year (I forgot the exact time, Kris made a video on it as well) before Kris and Oompville got together

The Vegan Teacher also used a video Kris made about SA she endured against her. It's actually vomit inducing how Kris has been treated by the VT
She also had the gall to say that KRIS stalked HER by staging fake phone calls during a live stream. She is absolutely sickening.
she also said that the torture of pigs to get meat was worse than the holocaust
And also brought up her past of getting sa'd and said "if you really learned from that you wouldn't support cows being r#-_ped for their meat" 😶

Otherwise that’s how I feel about all of this, have a great day
She’s a Karen. I’m pretty sure her name is Karen, even
You know the funny (well, not so funny at all) thing about it?
Omg you’re so underrated I’m glad I found this gem of a channel
just because YOU had a fairly positive coming out experience doesn’t mean that coming out isn’t a very difficult process. veganism entails being aware of what you’re eating, being queer- at least in certain situations- entails being extremely cautious around certain people because you’re afraid of being hate crimed. as a trans person, i doubt vegans will ever have to deal with such horrible treatment from your own family and government that i have to go through regularly. sorry for ranting but god. stay safe my fellow queers ❤️ vegans, i’m sure most of you are also pretty cool
as a trans person myself I 100% agree

5:53 ... we are of the animalia kingdom and thus technically animals. A mother's milk would technically not be vegan. So, a baby can't survive as being vegan from birth.
according to the vegan society: "Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude-as far as is possible and practicable-all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose." Dude I am terrified to come out as Transgender, Nonbinary and, Pansexual to my parents how is it harder than to come out as Vegan?!
Thanks, I really enjoyed this information, it's nice getting something from mindlessly watching youtube.

Actually, pandas aren't supposed to be herbivores. If you look at their poop, it's basically raw bamboo. They can't digest the stuff, but they eat it anyway because they're dumb.
There have been zoos that Introduced meat to their pandas diets, and those pandas did a lot better.
